Love the lounge. It’s behind a door so you don’t get the riff raff from the store bothering you. Relaxing. 3 – 4 flat screens and leather furniture. Couple reasons why only four stars — no liquor license YET. They were talking about how in a couple months they’ll be making it a bar. Nice. Happy to hear it. Other reason is — a stick is maybe $ 1 – 2 higher in this place. But I mean. It’s a buck or two. The lounge more than makes up for it.

After dinner I noticed Smoky’s and my friend and I thought it would be nice to try a cigar. The shop was really cool. There was a huge walk-in humidor with so many selections I was a little overwhelmed. I rarely smoke so I asked for help. Avis asked the right questions and found a cigar that I really enjoyed. It was reasonably priced too. We used their lounge which was really nice and clean. Great place and location in downtown Royal Oak. I highly recommend it.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about cigars. As long as you’re honest about what your taste or pallet might be at the moment, they can always recommend a cigar to meet your expectations. The layout of the store and lounge is very organized, clean, and aesthetically pleasing. This has become a regular spot for my friends and I as a group, or also if I want to stop by alone and do some reading while I enjoy a cigar. The humidor is large and well stocked with a wide range and variety of cigars. House blends are also available. They also have a wide variety of Pipes, Loose tobacco, hookahs, cigarrettes, e-Cigs, lighters, various accessories, drinks, or whatever you might need for an enjoyable visit. I’m by far not the most experienced cigar smoker, but I know what I like, and of all the Cigar shops and lounges I’ve visited, Smoky’s Fine Cigar is by far the best. Would highly recommend a visit.

Stumbled on this place when a friend stopped at a local store in his neighborhood. Plenty of parking, the building looked new or recently renovated. Walk in and the first thing I noticed is how clean, organized and beautifully decorated it was for a cigar shop. The cashier was absolutely the nicest and the place smelled amazing. Definitely a good place to frequent for quality cigars and everything you would need and or expect from a cigar shop.

Great place t pick up some smokes if you are in Royal Oak. I am glad they have my Nat Shermans. They are pricey on smoking accessories so I would recommend going somewhere else but cigarettes are pretty much standard priced.

I’m not much of a cigar aficionado but wouldn’t mind puffing one up every now and then. Being a virgin in the world of cigars is scary and the guys @Smoky’s are very helpful. They gave me some good tips on how to pick out a cigar and recommended some cigars. Since I like a light flavor I tried the Romeo y Juliet(I’m not sure if its spelt right) and I definitely recommend it. If you want to try your hand at cigars or just want to pick some up for a friend check this place out.

I wouldn’t call myself a cigar girl per se, but every once in a blue moon or a martini I’ll light up a stogie and enjoy. I do, though, often purchase tobacco and cigars for gifts and when I do I do it at Royal Oak’s Smoky’s. Recently moving into a new building just a few doors down this smoker’s haven offers customers an unbelievable selection of not only cigars, but specialty cigarettes like Bali Hais and Nat Shermans, and tobacco for that corn cob pipe. For those looking to purchase cigars, Smoky’s has got that too! Their large humidor room boasts a appeasing selection of cigars form a variety of prices. The staff is also friendly and willing to help if you’re a bit of a stogie novice. And they won’t try to up sell you, they will find what you want for the price you had in mind. Also, Smokey’s sells their empty cigar boxes, so for all you crafters it’s a great place to pick up boxes to make into purses or découpage. So, see Smoky’s even offers non smokers a little bit of something.

I used to go here to pick up specialty cigarettes and the occasional cigar. Now, I’m not a cigar guy, and neither were any of the people I’d shop at Smoky’s with. I will say that Smoky’s has a great staff that are more than willing to help out the newbie cigar smoker — we were able to navigate the massive humidor with the help of the Smoky’s employee with grace, and came out with some of the best cigars I have ever tasted. Though I do have to take one star off considering the prices on everything else, cigars aside. We were able to snag the cigars on the cheap(I would find out later when purchasing at another seller), but specialty cigarettes, like Djarum Blacks, were pretty expensive. I also wouldn’t suggest buying hookahs or supplies here because they are priced so high that I don’t know why they even sell them. Maybe in the past year they’ve began to carry smaller 1 – 2 person hookahs, but before they only had the 4+ models which were just… silly. They were the kind that had pink fuzzy leopard print tubes on them. If that’s your thing… more power to you. It is true though. I’ve yet to see a selection of cigars as large as Smoky’s. If you’re in the market for cigars, this would be the place to check out first.
