I popped in to wash 2 down comforters a few days ago since I didn’t want to risk ruining my washer at home. Royal had great reviews and free Wi-​Fi so I gave them a shot.
I was not disappointed. I parked and asked if I could bring a cart outside. Not only was it possible but the attendent came out to help me unload my car! I was stunned at how helpful and friendly the staff was. I lived in NYC for 13 years so I’m just jaded and used to bad service.
They had tons of machines and driers. The instructions are clear, but if you need help, just ask and someone will be right over. If you get too many quarters, they’ll even give you bills in exchange. It’s also not a problem making change here. The waiting area was clean and full of magazines. Even the bathroom was clean!
The only thing I can think of to make this place better is having more than 2 jumbo sized driers.

Lisa is very nice and helpful and funny. On the down side owner needs to make sure all staff keeps the place clean and filters cleaned so clothes dry faster

Great clean and normal place for either do-​it-​yourself laundry or they will do your laundry for you. The manager, Tom, greeted everyone who came in and helped them pick the right size machine. He was very accommodating and helpful. Large machine was $ 2.75 to wash and XL machine (3 loads worth) was $ 3.75 to wash. Drying was 25 cents per 6 min and 30 min was more than enough. There were tons of magazines and free Wifi but I didn’t need any of that since all of the other people doing their laundry were so kind and chatty. I went on a Wed night 6−8pm. Heard it gets busy on the weekend. There is a change machine, soap for sale, a clean bathroom, nice TV, and ample parking.

I’ve never had such a nice experience at a laundromat! The attendant was crazy friendly, not just to us, but to everyone. Instructions and suggestions on the machines, and, because we’re new to the area, he even answered our other questions, about the city, the sports, and places to go in the state. Talking sports or laundry, this guy knew his stuff! The place was clean, the other patrons were respectful, and they even offer laundry services so you could just drop it off dirty and pick it up clean. Extra bonus was the Chinese food joint next door. Hopefully we won’t need to be back for normal laundry, but when those special occasions of crazy laundry occur, this is where we’ll be heading! Thanks for the welcome to Michigan, Royal Laundromat!

The staff here is so friendly. The attendant offered me pointers on washing my down blankets. She is wonderful. The laundry machines are clean. This is definitely the best laundromat I’ve ever been too. Fully recommend!

I stopped in on a Sunday night after checking their website to make sure they were open. The website said the last load on Sunday was at 7pm so I got there at 6:30pm. The attendant was a nice man but he said the last load on Sunday was at 6pm but that I could still do my laundry if I did it fast. While I don’t appreciate being rushed through my laundry, I was desperate so I continued. There’s no ATM so you have to go to the liquor store a few doors down, but the machine prices were cheaper than other laundromats in the area. And all the machines worked and the dryers actually dried my clothes. I did about 4 loads of laundry for $ 6. If you don’t mind the friendly, yet pushy attendant, it’s a good, cheap laundromat in Royal Oak.

The surroundings are so comfortable, Machines are new, and good prices,
They have assistance to help you if you need help. And are very helpful Employees.
This is a very nice place to do your laundry.

Plenty of machines, change is available as well as overpriced detergent and bleach if you need it. Nothing stellar, but not bad either.
