The worst customer service ever! Walked in not greeted! Finally got seated after 5 minutes mind you there was no one in front of us… Then we finally got seated. And 25 minutes went by with no waiter, no water brought to the table and no food… Not even an acknowledged! Then we finally walked out then the waitress has the nerve to say have a nice day… Like how and I’m still hungry! Then I go back in and tell them about the issue, they say that they are busy but there is two people on smoke break and two waitress in the kitchen talking and laughing… Never going again… Not even an apology they just said that they were busy! Horrible never will I go again, I’m mad that I had to give them one star because they deserve none!

This IHOP delivers consistency. Always fresh food with always pleasant service. My favorite is the butter pecan syrup with pancakes. Just a simple twist that is delicious! Even when the line is long it moves fast because the staff is so good.

Tried this location out for the first time today. While we were seated quicker than anticipated, the wait for the food was insane! The waitress never refilled our drinks the entire time we were waiting. She did stop by our table and told us our food would be out shortly and asked if we needed anything and we told her ketchup but she never brought it. Once the food finally came out, it was ok except the fruit we were served was old and disgusting. Aside from all of that. The location is small and kind of awkward especially when it’s busy.

Last three times I’ve been here there are always out of something. Out of crepes. Out of waffle batter. No bacon left. Waiters really don’t give a shit and good always comes out Luke warm and looks like it was thrown on the plate. Don’t waste your time. You’ll get better service at the dmv. Won’t have to wait as long either.

Where do I start? For starters, I am utterly astounded. First off, we waited to be seated for approximately 10 minutes. Then, we are seated and it takes another 25 minutes for a waitress to come greet us. A table that came after us got served before us. We waited another 15 minutes for the drinks to come out after our drink order was taken. I will never be returning to this sorry excuse of an establishment. It was the eve before my birthday and I was disrespected. This visit will be one for the books. IHOP will never be seeing my beautiful face in their establishment again. Very thoroughly disappointed.

I came with my three kids two of whom are only 3 years old. When first arrived we were seated right away in full restaurant. Though it quickly emptied to just 3 tables including ours the staff was extra slow moving. My only complaint. Our food was hot and correctly made. My son had slipped on the seat and bumped his head and the manager came right away with a bag of ice(lucky I had leap frog tablet and he didn’t cry out for no more than a minute). That’s why I’m giving them a 4⁄5 for going a little above and beyond.

Horrible horrible attitude and service! Came in on 2 occasions– 1 was on a regular Saturday. A little wait time was ok with us. They said 10 – 15 minutes. Waited 35 minutes to be told they forgot about us. So we left. 2. We called Christmas Eve to ask if they are open Christmas Day. They said yes. We get there at 3:30 they close at 4. They yelled at us very rudely and said«we are closed» in a very aggressive tone. Horrible horrible people and service. We did not even get a «sorry we are closed» or a «merry Christmas but we are sorry we are closed». Just loud annoying horrible customer service and employees. Worst IHOP ever. Will never step a foot in ANY ihop locations.

Solid place for late night munchies after drinking. Our server was in high spirits and funny, basically saying everything in a sing-songy voice. We waited a while for our food, maybe 20 minutes, but not too bad. After some extensive research on the different flavors of syrup(original, blueberry, strawberry), I determined that my favorite is original.

Yuck. Sent back my cup of coffee because there was lipstick on the rim. Waitress didn’t give us silverware until we asked. Hostess was rude. Won’t be back.

Why this is the worst location ever. I stop going to IHOP because of bad experiences like this. Got my order all wrong. Then the waiter argued with me because she misspoken about the menu question. I feel like they just didn’t care about late night customers because they feel like you will take anything. The only good thing was the manger was polite in helping deal with the matter. The government u none to any food.

When we first arrived, the hosts were not very professional. She asked us how many to be seated and we said two. Then she asked if there were any kids with us, which I don’t understand because there are two people there and we said seats for two. Afterwards, they sat the people who came after us first. Once we were seated, it took at least twenty minutes for the waitress to come say something to us. When she took our order, she said she didn’t have a pen so she was just going to memorize it. I was worried she was going to mess up the order. She messed up several things in our order and I overheard the people next to us were upset their order was not cooked right as well. Anytime we asked the waitress for something such as a refill, creamer, etc, she would say ‘I’ll be right back with it’ and every time she would come back 5 – 10 minutes later and ask if we needed anything like she completely forgot. Also, the restaurant was extremely uncleanly inside. The people next to us left about the same time we got there and their dirty dishes were left on the table the entire time we were there which was about an hour. There was also garbage and pancakes just laying on the ground. It looked like nobody had cleaned the floor in days.

i am sitting here writing this review as we speak. and i really hate chain breakfast restaurants, but we came here because we went to toast in ferndale and there was a long wait. we waited a few minutes before any of the hostesses acknowledged the fact that we were standing waiting to be seated. there were people waiting on the benches to be seated, so once the hostess finally got back to the stand, she asked me how many and my name, and i told her it would be for 2 and asked how long the wait was. she responded with«not long. not long at all» um excuse me? at least give me some kind of time frame!(5 – 10 mins, etc) there were 6 people ahead of us so i knew the wait would be at least 10 minutes because this was a busy sunday afternoon. even though i was already irritated with the service, i did not want to leave and look for another place so i sat and waited to be seated, big mistake. the«manager» was standing there scolding every employee in her sight, slamming down plates and rolling her eyes. i am usually not picky when it comes to service, but this is UNACCEPTABLE. when will managers realize it is not okay to not only scold your employees, but to do it in front of your guests who are giving YOU business. you could tell the food runners and cooks were both ashamed and annoyed as she kept this up for the entire 20 minutes that we waited for our table. and yes, that«not long at all» wait turned into a 20 minute wait. i really wanted to leave and walk out of this place and i cannot believe that i didn’t. on to the food and the actual waitress we had… the waitress was nice, but short because she was busy with so many tables. the food though was actually amazing, i ordered the banana pudding pancakes and the bacon and eggs combo with hashbrowns and all of that was only $ 6.99! you cannot beat that because it was a lot of food. i almost finished every single bite of the banana pudding pancakes, and i always have pancakes leftover to take home, but not this time because they were so delicious. if the service wasn’t so terrible this location could have easily gotten 4 stars solely based off the food. but after experiencing that manager’s attitude and the inattentiveness of the hostesses, there’s no way i can give them more than 2 stars!

I am a semi-regular at this place, after this morning, I will be going to other restaurants in the area. THE service was extremely mediocre at best. I have had better service in the past. The Coffee was rather lukewarm to tepid. THEFOOD, well was SUBPAR at best. My father had the Crepes and they were hard with no cream filling inside. I had the Country Fried Steak and Eggs. This dish was decent except for the buttermilk pancakes were cold(at one time you used to get three now it is teo). PLUS, they now have new menus and the prices have skyrocketed!!!

My favorite location. Hosts always care about mindful seating choices so that a whole preschool doesn’t scream into my plate(I so much appreciate that!). Food seems better than in other IHOPS and the restaurant is clean. thumbs up for these guys!

The service was great, and the food was okay. What happened here was not our server’s fault. My fiancé and I went to this IHOP on my lunch break, and we were quickly seated in the corner with a window next to us, and a window behind us. Our drinks arrived quickly, but I could not drink mine because the cup was covered in some sticky substance and I did not trust it. About a minute before our food arrived, we noticed the fruit fly problem. As soon as our food hit our table, the fruit flies started flying around our cups and plates. They even landed on the table. It was one of the most disgusting experiences I have ever had in a restaurant. I will never return to this IHOP, and I will probably refrain from returning to any IHOP in the future. This is something that the management needs to address. The people next to us also noticed the flies and walked out before ordering. We paid for our order, but we could not eat it.

Wasn’t greeted in a very friendly manner. Then we were sat beside the bathroom with a beautiful view of the toilet. The table wasn’t cleaned after the people who were sitting there before us left. At this point we got up and left. Two stars for the woman working very hard to get the food out. IHOP in general is a really good chain restaurant and the food is always amazing. We drove to the Bloomfield location and had an amazing meal.

Snapshot: Best for breakfast at non-breakfast hours… if you can get past the roaches. As might be expected, any IHOP adjacent to a giant church is best avoided during peak breakfast hours(6AM to 1PM weekends) or whenever the silver set might be scurrying about. This strange outpost of International Pancake Outreach is laid out in such a way that it cannot accommodate many diners or vehicles at any given time. I have never seen an IHOP built around two dining rooms that are, in effect, little more than a pair of hallways with the entrance and kitchen dead centre. Frankly, I hate the layout. I feel like the cooks are at my elbow, and without the hibachi Iron Chef vibe going on, it’s no fun. This is not Alinea. When the restaurant is quiet, however, it can be a pleasant enough place to dine. Try to get a view facing Woodward for especially scenic views during the evening. I find something peaceful about watching headlights strobe through the gloom of a late autumn night. This IHOP does a reasonable job preparing orders, though the very young servers seem to habitually forget something — salsa, syrup, side of toast, cup of tea. I have yet to dine here without an incident involving a correction on the receipt or a failure to receive a basic side that comes with a meal. I’m not talking some weird substitution, but an omelette delivered without hashbrowns or toast, fruit crepes missing the fruit, or what have you. I suppose we should count our lucky stars the plate showed up. Some of the oversight can be attributed occasionally to being busy, but since we avoid peak times like the plague, that’s only part of the issue. Nonetheless, the food does come out pretty good. I can watch it being made, which is probably a plus. The stuffed French toast, though devastating to any kind of meal plan or diet, is actually darned good. Frequent savings can be had by signing up for their birthday newsletter or eyeing local flyers for coupons, too. What condemns the dining experience — and drives me into OHOP’s loving arms two miles away — is the cleanliness factor. I no longer want to touch this location with a twenty-foot pole due to a problematic roach infestation. On two recent visits, I found roaches in the women’s washroom, which itself was in need of some pretty heavy sanitation. Given how small the facilities are, the restaurant is certain to have unwelcome pests skittering underfoot in the dining area too. Ughhhhh. Note: Parking is a pain. Use the Radio Shack/Ya Ya’s lot or streetside parking on Northwood Boulevard if you must.
