This place used to be called Commune and is now Craft. Let me preface this by saying that I don’t go out to bars/clubs all the time, but only on occasion and I didn’t get anything to eat or drink here. I came to dance. That being said, if you like to dance under a wave of neon colored laser and disco lights to a DJ spinning hits and just enough fog to make you wonder if it’s all a dream, then this is your place. The atmosphere is friendly(from what I saw for my first visit), fun, energetic, and upbeat. The people there just want to have a good time with friends and enjoy the evening. At around 10:45pm, the place was pretty empty. However, people started filing in at around 11:00pm — 11:30pm, and even more after midnight(my sister and I left at 12:30am). So if you’re looking for that crowd, show up a little later. They have leather couches and private areas that can be reserved, a nice bar area that’s pretty lit up so you can see what you’re ordering, and they have security which is good to have any time large crowds and alcohol are involved. Security guys were pretty nice and helpful when I asked them questions. Bathrooms looked kept up and they have bathroom attendants on staff so you’re not really ever alone in this place. Craft is located beneath the Bastone Brewery which I really liked because you can get away from the crowd and get a bite to eat or relax before going on your next adventure for the night — which for me was going back home. Make sure not to get there too late because you’re going to wait in a long line. They have two lines– one inside of Bastone Brewery right at the head of the stairway that leads you down to Craft, and the other is the back entrance to Craft. Overall, this is a fun place to go out with friends and have a dance party. Nothing too crazy or wild — just spirited fun.
