Motel 6 Round Rock

Room smells of urine, the floors are sticky. I’ve never been in a motel that did not have a closet. It’s not pool season, but the water is murky green…

For $ 40 a night, not bad at all.
I am making a trip to Washington from Austin and had to stay here one night.
Parking wasn’t great because half of the Lot is a tow zone.
People were very friendly and I felt safe.
Rooms looks recently «upgraded» but it’s nothing fancy.
For the price, it was great. A little loud next to the high way.

I called to make my reservation because I had a couple of questions prior to booking. The phone clerk obviously does not like her job because she was very dry and monotone. She sounded like I was bothering her. Sorry honey, if you don’t like answering phones and booking rooms you should probably quit. She asked if I wanted to have my confirmation sent via email and I said yes… but then the line was silent. I had to say «hello?» And she finally said «yeah?» I asked if she needed my email address and she said «yeah» again. I work in a call center. I know how tedious it can be to do and say the same thing over and over again but that is my job. I know I have to do it. They record their calls I hope they listen to that one. Once I got to the hotel, the nighttime check in clerk was extremely rude, not friendly at all, didn’t even acknowledge my presence. He didn’t tell me what room I was staying it, just pointed outside to the left. He didn’t tell me any other information like the wifi password, when checkout is, etc etc. he rudely tossed my credit card on the counter, I grabbed it and stuck it back in my wallet. He then tossed a paper on the counter and rudely told me he needed my signature. Then he rudely told me he needed my credit card again because there was an error. He did not explain what the error was. Luckily that information was posted in the room. Of course I had to look for it, but it was there. Honestly, like I told my friends staying with me, I will never book at Motel 6 again and I will never recommend they stay at one.

Remodeling to the hotel was horrible, whoever that owner hired should get his money back. Along with firing some employees. Holes were everywhere on the wall and the tub, and doors. Paint jobs all over the place, cable wiring with the walls were horrible, it could cause a fire. The walls were super thin, I can hear my neighbors. Employees giving me bitchy attitude, so when I checked out early. This employee was too busy fucking his girlfriend in the back, and snatched the hotel card out from my hands when I disturbed them. There was no paper or anything like that handed back to me. Then only to learn, that idiot didn’t check me out of my hotel. So I was being charged extra, lucky the lady was nice enough to all me and refund me. So dear owner, whip your two man register up front retrained properly. I’m only giving you two stars because your employee EZ helped me out.

Very horrible! Night guy was very rude! He said there was no more pillows and he just didn’t care he said next time bring materials from HOME to use in a MOTEL! Worst place ever definitely not coming back and you shouldn’t ever step foot in there! Also there soda machine is broken and it took my money and they didn’t even care! What a joke of a place! I would of given it zero stars if that was an option! Waste of money and this place lacks respect and a good friendly kind service to customers!

Room smelled unpleasant. The sheets had cigarette burns in them. There was a roach just walking around like he owned the place in the bathroom. And apparently it’s cool for people to stand on the walkway in front of rooms and talk loudly all night. It’s almost 1am! People of questionable character lurking about in the parking lot and breeze ways.
The AC works well and the towels smell clean (but feel like sandpaper). It’s one of cheapest places around here but probably should’ve just saved the $ and slept in the car!

Horrible. Sheets were stained and they didn’t have replacements. Owners just didn’t seem to care at all. NEVER GO HERE. La Quinta is a much better option for relatively the same price.
