1. I got a dirty salad plate. 2. The ranch dressing was totally empty 3. The soup spoon I picked up was dirty. 4. I specifically ordered french fries with no pepper — and I got fries with pepper. Nuff said.

Since we were in Roseville, CA, my family and I dined at this Sizzler. My son and I had the salad bar, and my wife had the chicken sandwich. It was close to closing time and the workers were already cleaning up and putting away the items from the salad bar while we were getting our food. They should NOT be doing this while they still have customers. They should be putting away the items after they close the restaurant. The service was below par. I will never go back to this location.

I only get the salad bar when I go so this is based on the salad bar, not the other food on their menu. About what you would expect when you go to a buffet. Always sounds good when you’re starving, but after a few bites into the monsterous salad you’ve created, it loses its luster real quick. I can say that the cheesy toast, clam chowder and chicken wings are pretty good. They have a pretty good selection of items to construct your salad with. black olives, bacon, garbanzo beans, peas, etc. their salad mix of romaine and iceberg lettuce is always crisp. With that being said, stick to the basics and your experience should be good. The dessert bar was probably the worst. The apple pie and the lava cake looked and tasted like it had been sitting there for hours. The ice cream didn’t taste like soft serve ice cream. It had a consistency of grainey sugar and looked like buttermilk. Even the jello was hard on the outside and didn’t have to much jiggle. One thing I gotta give a shout out to is their banana pudding… it’s got some nice chunks of real fruit in it… Super yummy in my opinion. Our server Justin was trying his best but I didn’t see many other servers around and it was pretty busy for a Sunday afternoon. He brought extra plates and napkins and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything.

It was more difficult than normal whether to give«Sizzler» a 3-star(A-OK) or a 4-star(Yay! I’m a fan) review. I had to carefully weigh out all the positives and negatives to see what balances the best. And because of this, 4-stars it is. Keep in mind, this is the first time I have been to a «Sizzler» location since the 90’s. Remember when they had those cheesy commercials that they played ALL the time? The location I am reviewing is the one in Roseville off of Douglas Blvd. and about a mile east of I-80. I came here with my lady on a Friday evening around 7:00pm and the parking lot was packed! Reason being is because there are several other restaurants and retail establishments in this fairly decent sized strip mall. So don’t be surprised if you may have a tough time trying to find a spot. Luckily a minivan was leaving as soon as we got there so we scored on the parking. Once we opened the doors and proceeded inside, there was a fairly long line that we waited in. From my vague memories of eating at Sizzlers in the past, I don’t recall it ever being this busy. My understanding is that its one of those restaurants that seniors visit and is a step above Denny’s but a step below say, an Outback Steakhouse. As we both glanced at the menu, they offer a variety of steak combo entrees as well as burgers, ribs, seafood, pasta, and all-you-can-eat salads at very competitive prices. Basically the way it works at a «Sizzler» is that you go up to the counter and tell them if you want the salad(which comes with soup, appetizers, and desserts) or a combo platter. This can be a bit confusing since you have to get one OR the other. I opted for their«Steak & Shrimp Scampi Linguine»(for $ 13.49). The steak itself is a 6 oz. cut and I ask for it to be cooked medium-well done. I decided on getting a side of steamed veggies to complete my order. My beverage of choice was a fairly large Heineken beer(for about $ 7.00). Not a bad deal since you get about 24 oz. of beer. Once we find our table(seating is wherever you can find), a waiter comes up to us and asks if we want cheesy garlic bread. It comes out in a couple of minutes. The bread is good but tastes very similar to that Texas Toast you’d find at the supermarket. My meal arrives in about 10 minutes and is presented nicely. The steak itself was juicy and seasoned very well. There wasn’t much fat on it which was a plus. I did like my shrimp scampi linguine but they did go a tad bit overboard on the heavy cream sauce. And the veggies were just you typical veggies, nothing special. We even snuck in the dessert bar area and treated ourselves with ice cream cups as well as a strawberry shortcake shooter. As I mentioned, I’m being very generous in giving«Sizzler» 4-stars. I would have to say the customer service, time factor, and overall quality of the food itself was done in an above average fashion. Its a great place to bring the kids and with the amount of food you get here for the price you pay, it just can’t be beat. Don’t expect a steak like what you’d find at Cattleman’s or Black Angus but for a complete meal w/beer and dessert for about $ 20, you can’t go wrong.

I am a salad kinda guy. this place definitely has salads! if you splurge for the higher ticket menu items you will most likely leave satisfied. however the extra choices besides salads from the salads bar are usually sub par in comparison to those delicious salads. I will be coming here well into my seniority.

PETSALLOWED! Manager Salvador lied about a regular customer who brings his PET into the restaurant. Waitress said«It’s a pet, see how it roams around, jumps up on the seat(face sniffing the table) and feeds the dog from the table» When I questioned if the manager if he verified it was a service animal; Salvador said yes, it is”. I asked about other customers rights — Animals around food is unsanitary and I’m very allergic to dogs — Salvador’s response — Sorry, he’s a regular and walked off! Service Animals and Companion(comfort) Animals and NOT the same and DONOT fall under the same guidelines! Companion animals according to the ADA website.

Three stars because you get what you expect: satisfactory food, pleasant service and an ice cream machine. Their all-you-can-eat salad bar is $ 11.99, which is very pricey considering what they offer. The food itself isn’t bad at the bar but you’re paying a good amount for several dozen options(I’m including types of lettuce in that count). I ordered their combo meal thing with steak and my wife got the fried shrimp. Both were fine. The baked potato was tasteless and the sour cream had seen better days. The shrimp and fries looked like they could have come from wherever. The deserts were good, so that’s a plus. The environment itself is fine. You get lots of kids running around, because their parents are too busy smashing whatever into their faces. Sorry, that’s a bit harsh. Their parents are distracted with intense political and social discussions at their tables. The waitstaff was nice and friendly. Our waitress brought us fresh plates and gave us two baskets of different types of bread.(By the way, their garlic bread is a slice of sourdough bread, lathered with garlic and butter. It’s hard to go wrong with that but it’s nothing special.) I’ll never say never but please visit other local establishments in the area. If you do happen to find yourself here, then please forgo the baked potato and enjoy your steak. Thanks.

Poison. Literally. I had lunch here Thursday afternoon, it is now Saturday and I’m still recovering from the worst case of food poisoning I’ve ever experienced. I had the shrimp skewer with rice and vegetables. Upon getting home about an hour later, I was so ill my husband nearly called 911. Don’t eat here. It’s dangerous!

I’m not really a fan of Sizzler however this location was clean and the food was actually really good. Most of all the service was nice and all in all I’m very happy we stopped in for dinner. Please keep in mind that we were looking for a gas station traveling from the bay area up to Reno and we were not looking for a Sizzler. However because we had such a good time at this particular location, there is a very good chance we will eat at another location to see if we can get the same type of food and service. My point is, if you’re like me and Sizzler is not one of your regular stops and you’re in the area, please give this place a shot because they were a little different than other Sizzlers I’ve been to in the past.

From the minute I walked in it was wonderful. I was greeted by a sweet girl Cassidy who helped me to my table. She answered all my questions and was very friendly. The salad bar was delfish. My favorite is the mix green pomegranate sweet potato salad. So sad it is seasonal. The clam chowder always amazing but it was a little on the hot side. So make sure you let it cool a little. My waiter was Justin very nice, the food came fast and warm and cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced, clean, friendly staff. Great casual dining experience. The banana pudding is to die for.

Not remember what month in 2015, but Nephew From Placerville had a tennis match at place call think Nay Toma Club House! After, we all went to this Sizzlers! The cashier was Desiree, short yellow hair! Server Irini, short brown hair! Best advice, get the Ultimate Meals, comes with Salad Bar! That way, get really filled on the Salad Bar and take the main meal home for meal the next night! Clean restaurant! Every employee was so very friendly! I liked the Chili Bean soup! Yummy! The little crackers in soup area, I take with me, take to work and use for snacks!

This sizzler location is my go to for when I’m trying to meet someone for lunch They have really good lunch specials and also the restaurant is well let The salad bar is always packed with fresh salad and fruits that I have never seen a limp piece of lettuce haha The dinner/lunch entrée is always piping hot just what I ordered so far have not had them give any mistakes I deducted 1 star due to the fact that their dessert selection is always low stocked and a lot of the times their soda machine needs to be filled again This is one of my favorite go to spots though And customer service is always the BEST!

I came here for my birthday a tradition I try to uphold every year. I ordered the same thing I do all the time all you can eat shrimp steak baked potato and of course the cheesy toast. The staff working the register were all great friendly welcoming and helpful. Both working as a team to get the line of people taken care of which they did with ease. I was lucky enough to have Alan as my waiter A young guy 24 very personable and professional. He had a large section to cover but managed to meet the needs of all the customers without breaking a sweat. It was easy to tell that providing great customer service came naturally to him and for that he should be commended.

Great place for lunch! I came here during my lunch break for the endless salad bar which was around $ 9 with an employee discount! The lady behind the register was very nice and if it weren’t for her, I would have never known about the employee discount which saved me about 1.50. Once seated, a very friendly server greeted me and offered either cheesebread or another form of bread. I chose cheesebread which was super tasty and warm. What I like about the salad bar is that theres actually a variety to choose from — salad, pasta, nachos, tacos, potato wedges(they were dry this time around), soup, chicken wings, and dessert. Everything was pretty good. The salad was my favorite of course. Just like any salad bar, you choose what salad you want and any of the several toppings and dressing. Everything seemed pretty fresh. Second fav is the dessert. I had the chocolaate lava cake and topped it with ice cream — so good. I like how the restaurant was quiet enough for me to do some of my work on my ipad as well. Also the place is very clean, well lit, and has decent décor to make eating there enjoyable. I really enjoyed the staff services — the 2 who catered to me including the receptionist were super friendly and helpful. I’d definitely come here again.

We decided to come here for dinner as we were in the area. There were only two tables of selections for the appetizer and salad bar area; rather small for any buffet. The waitress at the front was nice, after we waited for a few minutes for her to return to the counter to take our order. She upsold us on a larger cut of steak for an extra $ 2, which I regret now as the steak cut my partner got was full of gristle, fat and was tough despite being ordered rare. He got the classic trio entrée and while the baked potato was quite good, the shrimp was only so-so. It didn’t taste like it belonged on a $ 16 plate of food. Maybe in a $ 5 basket with fries. The malibu chicken was something you might find in a Banquet frozen dinner, and the batter recipe must have been stolen from Long John Silver’s, and I don’t mean that as a compliment. Long John’s is nauseatingly greasy and mealy. I decided to try out the all you can eat riblets. The only thing good about the riblets were the barbecue sauce they put on them and the fries that came with them, which, unfortunately, were not all you could eat. The riblets were about 60% fat, gristle and bone. It seemed like the kind of meat you’d throw away after you make your select cuts. Gross. I literally gagged as I bit down on what I thought was meat, but turned out to be a glob of pork fat. The fountain drinks here are wildly overpiced @ $ 2.50 per person, and to have the salad bar with your entrée is an extra $ 6 per person on top of the pricey main courses. Lucky we did get the salad bar because the few things we got from there were the only saving grace of the meal. The salad selections here are quite nice, and the appetizers are OK. However, you can find the same appetizers(build-your-own-tacos and meatballs) and most of the salad options at a Hometown Buffet for about two-thirds the cost. The clam chowder was excellent, possibly one of the best I’ve ever had. Whether clam chowder is worth the price of admission is up to you. The yeast rolls we were divided on. I thought they were great, but my partner thought they tasted like something you would eat in a school cafeteria. We both agreed the honey butter was good, however. All in all, I was extremely disappointed with the meal, especially considering the nearly $ 50 I spent for dinner. I kept thinking, maybe the next riblet won’t have all this gunk in it. This is probably just a bad cut. Nope. Not a one was any good. By that time, it was too late to ask for my money back. tl;dr version: The only thing good here is the salad bar, but @ $ 15 a person($ 12 for the salad bar and nearly $ 3 for a drink), you’d be better off and more satisfied going somewhere else.

We went to have early dinner here. We choose salad bar. We come here twice a year when we feel like having salad, soup and tacos. Here’s what I liked at the salad bar. –clam chowder(good but little too salty) –tacos were not bad –cheese bread –chicken wings –ice cream soft serve not bad What I did not liked here: –all green salad mixes were not fresh, wilted –potato wedges tasted old and overdone –dessert«whipped cream» tasted like shortening with sugar
