We enjoy this restaurant — usually on Friday’s with the kids. The reason I gave 4 stars is that out of the 7 of us 5 really like the pizza — especially the crust. And they put extra sauce on it — which we like too. I’d recommend them. Go on Monday’s for half price pizza(as of August 2014) and bring extra quarters for the kids to place the games. Adults can enjoy a beverage and a game on the tv’s.

Tried it twice. Won’t try them a third time. I don’t enjoy their pizza at all. The crust is very dry and pretty tasteless. Another time I ordered the Italian sub. I didn’t enjoy that either. The bread was not great at all, and it was served more like a taco than a sandwich. It was impossibly difficult to eat. I’ve had far better Italian subs at chains like Jersey Mikes or Subway… and that’s not saying much. We were there around 5pm and were there almost an hour and didn’t see anyone else come in.

Great place for a very — VERY casual family dinner. Wings and mozzarella sticks are good for starters. The salad — with ranch dressing is great.(The Italian dressing not great). Pizzas are good! This is a SUPER casual place(think Panera — you go up to the counter to order and they call your number when your meal is ready) but it serves its purpose. There are video games which keeps the little ones entertained(at a price) :) TVs for the guys. Wine selection is poor, but I don’t come here for fine wines. Decent beer for the guys. Note to the owners: PLEASE get better quality plastic forks and knives — the current ones are UN-usable!

Orderd from grubhub because I was looking to try something new delivered. My tuna panini was soggy as could be tasted like it sat around for an hour on old half ass toasted bread… and the burgers were gray looking and mushy. Only reason I’m giving one star is because the poppers and onion rings(something you drop in a fryer) tasted normal. Would not recommend and I’ll never order again.

Fantastic pizza and Italian Beef. They are so friendly and helpful! Owner came and talked to us as we ate and offered to get things for us — napkins, forks. Great causal atmosphere and will gladly make the trip back.

Stopped in for a quick slice while passing through Roselle for work, I regretted my decision the second I saw what I was served. The pizza was absolutely brutal! It looked and tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp ALLDAY. It was dry as a bone and coming up real short on ingredients. I’ve never been more happy to live in the city and have pizza joints a plenty who all serve 10x better pizza than this drek. I feel bad for the residents of Roselle and it’s surrounding suburbs who are forced to order this garbage.

Went in on Sunday and the place was dead. 3 people working plus a driver and it took a little over 20 minutes to get a small pizza. Crust was over worked and very tough. Trash stacked up by the container and nobody could be bothered to clean up. Not a place I would try again.

We ordered a plain cheese and a veggie pizza thin crust. It was the best pizza I have had in a long time from the cheese to the sauce to the crust! I also appreciated the plastic grate looking piece they put under the pizza to keep the crust crispy and not soggy! The caprese and Greek salad were also delicious!

Simply the best pizza in chicago. I drive 45 min to get the pizza at least every other week. 10 stars in my opinion. Very friendly place. Try their sausage and green pepper pizza. Just phenomenal. Also try the sandwiches. My fav is the buffalo chicken! They have good prices and always have daily specials.

I’ve been here a couple of times before ordering delivery from them today(2÷27÷13). It was better those other times. Today wasn’t awful, but it was disappointing. I ordered the meatball panini and mozzarella sticks. The sticks were fine, if unremarkable; their marinara is decent, so that helps. The meatballs and marinara in the panini were good, but a panini needs to be pressed and toasty. The bread on this sandwich was pale and white. The insides were warm, but it seemed more like that was because of the meatballs and sauce melting the cheese than it actually being pressed — or even toasted. Sticking filling between two flat, thin pieces of bread doesn’t make it a panini, guys. You should know better. Last time I had it, their thin crust pizza was decent. So it’s not all bad.

I was a big fan of the original Serino’s in Addision, but this new location is just blocks away from my office. The Italian Sub is very good. This most recent trip my wife and I stopped in for a burger. In all candor, it was pretty awful. Zero flavor to the meat and both of our burgers were cooked a few steps beyond well done. The fries were OK, nothing special, but not bad. The Cheese Sticks were frozen and average. The place is very dark here at lunchtime. I can’t decide if this place is trying to be a classic pizzeria or a sports bar. Service was excellent and staff is friendly. I’ll stick to the sandwiches next time and avoid the burgers. Another downside is that you cannot sit a large group together as the place is just a few rows of hard wooden booths.

I ordered the italian sub and it was ok. The bread chewed like day old bread. The sandy looked great but was lacking taste. I will be back to try something else. You have to give restaurants a chance to redeem themselves.

Serino’s is a family oriented restaurant with some great ideas and a bit of room for improvement. Our friends tried Serino’s a few months ago and have been trying to get us to meet them here since their first visit. I met up with them this past Monday. So a few important things to note. Monday if you dine in… it’s half price pizza night. I don’t think carryout allows for the discount. Also, nightly(I think) from 3−6pm is appetizer happy hour. Half price on all apps except wings. Woo hoo! Also, it may remind you a bit of the old Barnaby’s in Schaumburg, but the big plus here is that they have free refills on pop. My husband was stuck at work, so I had to order enough food for me, him and our 15 y.o. son. I ordered the beer nuggets, mozzarella sticks and an 18 inch pizza with half bacon and half sausage(well done). All half price! Our friends ordered the mozzarella sticks and a 14 inch pizza with half green olive and half sausage. Another note… half ingredients are charged at the full price. I believe the charge was $ 1.75 per ingredient, so it wasn’t bad anyhow. The previous reviewers are spot on! The food takes quite a while to get from the kitchen to you. Your order is assigned a number and when it’s ready, your number is hollered. You walk up to the counter and take your food back to your table. So, their app was ready first. They were done eating and my app was ready. The mozzarella sticks are frozen, fried sticks. This would be suggestion number one. Make a fresh stick. Charge an extra dollar or so and make it memorable. I’m tired of eating meh/unmemorable food. So then bring on the beer nuggets! These are the number one reason that I will go back. They were not overcooked and they were very flavorful. Most places dry them out so badly that you’re choking on them, but Serino’s does these just right. While I was eating my app, their pizza was ready. But it was wrong. They put the green olive and sausage all on one side and left the other side plain cheese. It was right on the receipt, but wrong on the pizza. They are not ones to complain so they ate it anyhow. My pizza was ready and since it was bigger and well done, I knew it would take longer, so that was okay. Ready for it? … … They put entire strips of bacon across the pizza!!! This is the first time that I have ever seen that done and I have ordered a lot of bacon pizzas. That was fantastic! Now, I wish the bacon would have been a step up on the quality chain, but it was okay. I didn’t try the sausage side of the pizza. The edge is beautiful and it was cooked perfectly, but the bottom crust was soggy and floppy. I think there was too much sauce on the pizza. And I didn’t love the sauce. Again, it was fine, but nothing special. I wanted to love their half price pizza, but other than the nice bacon presentation and pizza edge, I wasn’t really impressed. Getting carryout containers was a cinch. The gentleman behind the counter gave me everything that I needed to wrap up all the leftovers. The restaurant seemed clean and the staff was sweet. Apparently, they have some regulars who my friends recognized from previous visits. So maybe I ordered some of the wrong things. I would like to try a sandwich or a panini next time. But seriously, I could go for a basket of beer nuggets right now. I wonder what time they’re open until…

I need to go back here… Soon… I checked it out on a Groupon and ordered one of their specialty pizzas. The crust was fantastic, the tomato sauce was just right, and I was really starting to think this was the end of Pizza Quest! But, alas, the novelty of having hot giardinera and Italian beef instead of my tried and true sausage and green pepper top my pie, didn’t let me compare the way I would have liked to. One thing I did notice though was that the customer behind me ordered a small cheese pizza — on a Friday night, with plenty of frozen pizzas to cook at home available and many pizza joints in the area, she took the trouble to walk into Serino’s and order the simplest item of all, a SMALLCHEESEPIZZA. I’m thinking it must have been worth the effort and I’m dying to find out.

Ehh. Serino’s Pizzeria & Pub is relatively unimpressive. It’s decent«Italian» bar food as I like to call it. The menu offers up a variety of sandwiches, pizza, salads, burgers, fried appetizers, and about two pasta dishes. The bf and I were running some errands and couldn’t agree on a place to eat. Since neither of us had been to Serino’s, we figured we would give it a shot. He was craving pizza, and I was craving anything that would satiate my hunger pains. Obviously he went with the pizza. It was okay. It’s greasy if you like that kind of thing. Since I don’t((like that kind of thing)), I opted to go for the Caprese sandwich which consisted of grilled eggplant, fresh mozzarella and tomato. The sandwich was good… but fairly unoriginal. What I found the most perplexing was the lengthy wait to get a small pizza and a sandwich… especially when we were one of four tables in the restaurant. And for some odd reason when ordering a drink, you need to pick it up at the bar on the other side of the restaurant. Odd. Service otherwise was friendly. Does Serino’s work in a pinch when you’re starving and want some food fast? Yes. It does. Would I drive out of my way to get a pizza or sammie from Serino’s? No. I would not.

I was one of the first regulars at Serino’s before I moved away. I stopped by Sunday since I was in town. They have made a lot of changes to the menu. They didn’t have my favorite Meatball Panini on the menu. But the young man behind the counter knew how to make it and it was delicious as usual. Now that’s what I call customer service! My only gripe is that you have to get your soda at the little bar in the back instead of a free standing soda machine. I’m not sure if they have refills anymore. This place has the look and feel of a Barnaby’s with the tables and the bar set-up.

Not the best. Not the worst. Everything else is great, except for their pizzas. I ordered a large pepperoni and sausage pizza 2 days ago. It was horrible! The crust was soggy and thin and there was hardly any meat on there. It was so thin and poorly made that I had to use a fork to pick it up and eat it. For 10 bucks, I paid for something that had less meat than a sandwich I could have brought elsewhere for half that price. Don’t go here if you want pizza. I don’t know the quality of their other menu items, but I bet it’s going to be the same as the pizzas: horrible, cheap and poorly prepared.

They’ve changed more than a few things since the last time I was here. For one thing, the place doesn’t look like a dungeon anymore(thank you, full-height windows and southern exposures… and the strategies of dealing with them). For another, they changed their name and expanded their menu. Which is how I ended up ordering their special cheeseburger. I don’t remember the exact name, but it came back as just a burger with cheddar, lettuce, mayo, ketchup, grilled onions and raw red onions. I didn’t specify how I wanted it cooked, and I didn’t tell the cashier either, so mine ended up well done. That may have contributed to me thinking the sandwich was merely OK. The fries that came with it were nothing to write home about… neither crunchy nor flavorful, sorta tasting like they were under a heat lamp. Too bad. I think I would stick with the sandwich side of the menu for the time being, although I remember they had decent pizza(though not the best in Roselle, from what I can remember).

:( Not so good now. We went back for a 2nd visit. We ordered 12 wings, as they boast about how they have these cheap, good wings. They only had three left on a weekend evening about 5 pm. On top of that, the cake we got had expired a day prior. Tacky. To top it off, they even forgot to put the 3 wings in our pick up order, so we paid for nothing. Last Saturday then, I called to order pizza. The chick that answered the phone said that they do not make pizza on Saturdays… huh?! I don’t know how that place expects to stay in business and not make pizzas on Saturdays. That’s got to be one of the biggest pizza nights of the week for god’s sake. We probably won’t be back. The drive thru pick up options isn’t that big of a bonus to get stale old cake, no pizza on saturdays, and forgetting items. Place needs a serious staff re-evaluation.
