It’s okay… I’ve tasted better. Maybe is was a Luke warm day so I’ll definitely give it another chance.

Went in on a Friday evening around 5:30 for just their macaroni salad. I saw it half empty sitting behind the buffet server. The cashier told me they didn’t have enough to just serve that to me. I asked if they had another tray in the kitchen and she said no. No more macaroni salad on a Friday night after 6pm? Just horrible!!! Never eating there again!

Bad or just horrible customer service, why be open, not very good food, not interesting, just bad energy, I have seen had better options… Try the door 10xs better The DOOR… as soon as you enter you will notice the difference in respect and energy

Never ordering enough of an item that is in high demand… Where do they do that at!!! This C&J. I have almost given up on getting food from this location because they never have macaroni salad. The food quality, portions and flavor remain consistently good. Customer service has even improved but I have gone back to visiting the locations in Brooklyn which have the same food with better supply of my favorite side item, macaroni salad.

The food is great but the customer service is horrible. They act like teenagers no class, every time I order food there’s a customer cursing out the cashier because of their attitude and giggles. Once again great food but they need new people serving people.

C&J’s restaurant wasn’t the authentic Jamaican food I thought it would be. An hour ago(5pm on a Sunday) I ordered three small plates and one medium plate. The curry chicken was highly salty, the jerk chicken was burned and dried up, the oxtail was okay(not as seasoned as usual). I wish I could post the picture of the dried up jerk chicken. The quality of the food was poor. I frequently go in and there’s a limited menu. «Don’t have this, don’t have that.» The lady who is usually at the register is unprofessional. Service was poor. The wait for food has become a norm to be there at least 20 minutes no matter the size of your order or the time of day. My order number was 125 and 126. I watched my plate sit for 126.(Small order of oxtail) while 127,128,129 was served. Made my wait 30 minutes and about eight others waiting. This was the topic while we waited. The food wasn’t worth the wait and money today. What makes me more upset if after waiting so long for the food, it was not good today. Very disappointing to bring food, open it up and serve this. Please look into faster service and train staff to quality of food. Don’t put dried up food in the take out box. On a good note, the salad is usually very fresh and plump. Today we did not get out cucumber/tomato and not sure why not.

I usually come here for breakfast around 8⁄9 oclock. Try to go early for breakfast because it does run out fast. Haha I get the ackee and saltfish with calaloo and festival. Boy oh boy it is so good. Thats my favorite meal at this place. Here and there I would get some oxtails with rice and peas. Or even their stew chicken, all of it is good. I would still prefer the breakfast. The store itself is really clean and nicely decorated. Its not too small, but it can get tight once people start pouring in. I would recommend.

The food is good, but the service is horrible. The lady behind the counter is always rude, and asks like she doesn’t want to be there. She never smiles, she is never courteous. I understand that the business can be a burden, but act like you value your customers. I really enjoy their food though, but their service makes me want to take my business elsewhere.

I’ve heard the rave reviews about the C&J in Brooklyn so I decided to try the one in Queens since I live around the area. I’ve been to various Jamaican restaurants to get an authentic taste but I have to say this restaurant did not get the pass! I ordered curry chicken and it had NO taste of curry whatsoever– it was very watered down and greasy! Orange grease was dripping through the brown paper bag it was absolutely gross. The staff was a bunch of young kids running around, can’t say I was impressed by their customer service either.

The only entrée I order is the fried chicken and rice with macaroni salad. It’s my favorite and I will NEVER betray the fried chicken meal :) I used to travel to the location in Brooklyn and stand on the long ass line only to have my order taken by an annoyed cashier, how delightful * SIKE* I discovered the Queens location and decided that I would rather drive to Queens. I call ahead sometimes and my food is ready when I arrive. The lines are not very long at this location. The food always taste the same so I’m never disappointed.

I know it was a late at night on a Friday but that was no reason to serve chewy chicken. I had the barbecue chicken with peas and rice and coleslaw. take it from me the coleslaw was my second bad choice. I was visiting my father and I come in to town hoping for some decent food. But everything was just over cooked or ill prepared. I didn’t even care for the punch which was extremely overpriced. the food was cheap but they cooked out all the nutritional value. I should have gotten a pizza

I came here to order fried chicken with macaroni salad and there was a issue just because I said no rice she said they don’t serve it that way. They just have enough to serve it with a side and rice and the chicken. It honestly got me upset because if your a restaurant and you have the food why does it matter how it’s served and that’s not the first time I asked for just the chicken with macaroni salad she was really trying to save it meanwhile they’re closing soon. The food it great which is why they run low on some things but if you know something sells out then maybe you should double up on it just saying.

I have to give this place 2 stars because that’s exactly what it deserves. This restaurant never has nothing no stew chicken, jerk chicken what kind of place is this!!! So the other day I went and ordered and paid for a small fried chicken because they didn’t even have stew chicken it was only 8:00 and they close at 11. After ordering my food I left because of the crowd. After 20 mins I came back for my food and they gave it to someone else because they call my number and I wasn’t there smfh! After I paid for my food and everything they said they didn’t have anymore fried chicken. So I asked for my money back! I won’t recommend this place to anybody. So unorganized staff sucks. I’m gonna stick to my local queens spots that’s made in queens like The Door.

I was very excited to see that C & J is doing well enough to expand to a location close to me. But now, I am very disappointed. You’re currently living up to the two biggest stereotypes about Jamaican Restaurants! You never have any food(fried chicken) and your employees have the worst attitudes everrrrrrrr. Especially the one in the front! You really need to have a good olé talk with them or just replace them with some chirpy employees. Back to the food… I just don’t understand WHY this place is ALWAYSOUT of fried chicken! You know that its what most of your customers want so please explain why I’ve attempted to buy it more than 5 times and its done? You close at 11 pm(i think) and you’re out of fried chicken at 6pm? Just ridiculous! Lastly, please lighten up on the salt or the jerk seasoning that’s being used to season the jerk chicken. It’s way too salty. Sincerely, A customer that loves your fried chicken.
