Nice lunch spot with indoor and outdoor seating. We enjoyed our sandwiches on the patio so our dog could join us. I had the hummus and veggie on wheat bread. They were out of avocado and forgot my pickle, but gave me a cup of sliced pickles when I asked. Both my sandwich and my husband’s triple decker turkey were huge and fresh. The bread was soft and chewy. We also splurged on brownies. I had the cream cheese brownie and it was rich and dense.

I want to love this place as we shop at moms often. I’m writing this mainly in the hopes they add some things! Love that the flours are organic, but why no sour or sprouted breads? I was told by someone there that it was too difficult to make soured breads. But really, it’s not. We will continue to buy our breads at moms until they start making these.

Thought we would try on our way into MOM’s Nextdoor. Pretty disappointing. Brand new location. No latte or other espresso drinks machine broken. Settled for coffee, milk sour. Sandwich taking long and we are the only customers here. 2 staffers working, one eating food as she’s doing something behind the counter. Next time will just get something next door. The breads look good though.

This Spring Mill used to be inside of MOMS in the back of the store. Now it’s more like a café. They offer breads, sweets, & eats. Since I still have half a loaf of their honey wheat in my freezer from their newest location in Takoma Park, I thought I’d just browse. However, I gave in to temptation and bought myself a light lunch to go. I’ve had their scones, muffins, Nd cookies, so I decided to try a turnover($ 2.95 each). MI chose the cheddar and mushroom over the spinach and feta. While it was very tasty and packed with sautéed shrooms, where was the cheddar, other than a small dollop baked on top? Just an FYI. For dessert, because what’s a nice hot cup of tea without it, I bought a large square of their Rosemary Shortbread(also $ 2.95). It was tasty too, but a bit on the soft side. And what’s up with the sprinkled salt on top? I thought, at a glance that it was course sugar. I enjoyed it all the same. The gal behind the counter was super cordial. I’ll be back next time I shop at MOMS, as the TP location is much closer.

stopped in after shopping at MOMs. limited seating but great food. had Va baked ham sandwich. bread was great, ham tasted like ham, not boiled lunch meat. took home two loaves, both great. Sweets looked awesome. I found prices in line with competition. Staff friendly. They don’t rush you and help you make selections so might take some time if you get stuck behind an indecisive shopper. Will definitely be planned for lunch when shopping at MOMs and might be a destination on other days too.

Although I’ve only been here once — just the other day — I’m already a big fan. The day that I visited, I enjoyed a small veggie turnover(mushroom and onion), and a tuna sandwich on whole grain bread. Both were phenomenal. The seating area is a nice touch, as is the fact that they offer sandwiches; for these reasons, I like this place better than Great Harvest on Rockville Pike. Additionally, the location is a plus, since I love going to MOM’s Organic Market next door and I’m always at Gold’s Gym in the same plaza. The employees were pleasant, the food outstanding, and the selection excellent. Thrilled to have found this place. Keep up the great work, Spring Mill.

Can’t say enough wonderful things about this place! Everything we have tried has been yummy. Had lunch here with my husband last week. Everything was delicious, and they offered samples of different breads and desserts at the counter. It’s not a big place, so it does not have a lot of seating. Tried a take home piece of cake — out of this world! Breads, cookies, brownies, cakes, etc, all delicious. Haven’t had anything I didn’t like.

Came here today and was pleasantly surprised. I expected it to kind of look like a Sheila bakery. When I walked in the store it was a café w tables and chairs and a tiny shelf that sells jams. Then at the counter they have some bread sample and behind the counter is the freshly made bread. This store reminds me of Great Harvest minus the sitting area. I was helped by a woman I believe she was the boss. She was very nice and patient w me. She took her time explaining what each bread are and what it’s made of. I ended up leaving w the challah bread which was just scrumptious.

Spring Mill Bread Company’s newest addition is right next door to the Rockville MOMs(My Organic Market). Similar to the downtown Bethesda location, the Rockville store carries a great selection of made-from-scratch breads, muffins and cookies. I’ve never been disappointed with Spring Mill and tonight I stopped in for a fat free pumpkin muffin(my favorite). Delicious! There oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are also to-die-for. They use organic & top quality ingredients and keep their recipes simple.
