Don Quixote’s Mexican Grill

I would give them a 5 but I had a surprise in my food. Halfway through my torta there was a surprise. I’m not sure how it got in there the contain was closed from the restaurant to my work. It was dead already. I called and let them know they only said «thank you I will let the staff know. «I have been there so many times and it’s disappointing for me. Poor ladybug.

I love stopping by here to grab something to eat. I’ve never eaten in the restaurant and usually get my order to-​go. The food is always really good, especially when it’s nice and warm. I will definitely continue visiting this place.

LOVE this place. They have the BEST Fish Tacos around and the prices are cheap compared to other places. I love coming to this place. I have also ordered their enchilada and it’s delicious. I feel like I can’t go wrong with any food at this place. Yum!!!

Eating first time at his place. Asked the guy to recommend tacos. The shrimp tacos are so good. Shrimp is so juicy and succulent. There is a free chips bar, and the entire selection of salsas are super fresh. The guy who made the tacos was extremely helpful and he did an amazing job. My one bad review about this was, there’s a girl she was sweeping literally next to me while I was eating. I hope they tell her that it’s not only unsanitary but is extremely rude. I had grab my palate mid food and go outside.
Over all I will definitely come back. And just sit out side. :)

No bussed tables!
5 total ppl in the restaurant at 5:30pm on a Tuesday and every booth had dirty dishes from previous customers. Some of the salsa containers were almost completely empty. Food was ok, but not awesome. It took about 12min to arrive from the kitchen.
I think they were just under staffed.

I’m giving 2 stars because my husband liked the food.
The food was ok. Salsa bar was ok.
The place is so messy!
Half of my family almost had all of there food eaten by the time I got my food.
The lady gave our food to another table and we had to get it ourselves.
We asked for chicken and got steak on our quesadilla.
Get the food to go if you are going to get food at this place.

Eh, it was alright. I got a burrito bowl bc I’ve been wanting one from chipotle but I won’t eat there anymore…(it wasn’t as good as chipotle). First lady behind counter was polite but the test seemed to be just going with the motion. Tables were dirty and stayed that way for some time… someone was slacking. It wasn’t great but it was ok.

ALWAYS amazing food! We come here a lot and bring our family/​guests that come to visit us. Great prices and huge portions. And the customer service is always great!

The good was the salsa bar. Pretty good variety and nice flavor. I ordered the fajita burrito and it was cold. This is weird because it looks like they make it right there fresh. It was mostly rice and pico. I had to really look for the chicken and there were just a few little pieces. The flavor was ok but being so cold it just didn’t wow me in any way. It didn’t come with any sides or anything but it was a pretty decent size. My sons carnitas tacos seemed to be good as he finished them both, again just two tacos on a plate– no beans or rice. Maybe they were having an off night.

Yum! This is probably my third time here and it just gets better and better every time (or maybe we were just extra hungry last night).
The employees here are so friendly, especially the lady with the British (?) accent.
Our neighborhood mailer gives us coupons for free tamale, enchilada or taco with purchase. I’m amazed at how good those free items are. Some places tend to skimp on the free stuff but not here!
Their tacos and enchiladas are so flavorful and I LOVE their jamaica (hibiscus tea).
The only drawback to this place is how crowded it usually is. Guess everyone thinks it’s delicious so that’s why there’s always a crowd. My husband loves their fresh chips and salsa bar (pico de gallo!).
Can’t wait to go back!

Love this place. When I go I get the 2 little chimichanga’s with chili Verde inside, it comes with rice and beans. Lots of options to choose from.

Get the Adobada Tacos!!! Excellent service and excellent salsa bar.

Love this place! They always have the best food and the nicest employees. Their chips and salsa are amazing! I would choose this place over Chipotle and Freebirds any day.
The workstations are clean and employees always wear plastic gloves when handling your food. They are always pleasant, nice, and respectful every time I come in, unlike Chipotle.
My only recommendation is that they clean the tables and chairs a little better.

I have been here several times now and the place is always busy but busy for good reasons: good food and good prices. We have tried the puffed taco’s, fish tacos, and shrimp tacos. The fish taco’s basically knocked my socks off with big portions of grilled white fish and some sort of zesty green sauce that was WOW ! The puffed (deep fried) tacos are also delish but we thought the shrimp tacos were a little bland. The rice here is also excellent we see people ordering just rice and beans every time we come here. The taco plates which come with two tacos, rice and beans are normally $ 7.99 making tasty eats affordable too.
The place can fill up really fast so it might be a good idea to grab a table when you come in or order togo.

If I could give 0 stars I would, the best part about don Quixotes was leaving. I took about 3 bites and realized I’d rather go home and have a cup of noodles that would taste 10 x better than that. My «grilled» fish tacos were definitely not grilled, they looked completely raw. I definitely regretted everything as soon as I saw the way they make enchiladas. I would never recommend it to anyone and for all the people who go there, I’m glad you liked it but it definitely was not for me or for the other 6 people who went with me. All the plates we were served were nothing but fails. Would have preferred Taco Bell.

The reason for 4 stars is because you can come here and really have a good food experience if you know what to avoid

I love going to this place! They have a huge selection of Mexican food.
I personally like the burrito bowl and I cannot finish it so I always take half to go and I love having left overs the next day. ;)
Everything here is really reasonably priced and big portions.
Free chips and salsa– and the salsa is really good!
For the same price as soda you can have the Mexican drinks like horchata.
The only thing I don’t like is they don’t cut the fat off of their meat.

Good bye Chipotle!
I used to be a big fan of Chipotle when I wanted a quick burrito fix. That was until I found the Don. The proteins here are far superior than any Chipotle-​style take-​out place that I’ve been to. It would receive 5 stars if the service were a little smoother.
The food: like I mentioned before, the proteins here are great for a place like this. I’ve tried all of them and they are flavorful and juicy. My favorites are the carnitas, shrimp, and carne asada. And my favorite vehicle for the protein is the burrito. Their tortillas have a certain freshness that makes it more authentic. They have a slight chew to them which gives it a great texture. Unlike Chipotle, where the tortillas are kind of mushy, especially once the salsa sets in. It’s like making your own tortillas compared to buying the packaged ones. Another highlight is their salsas. The habanero and green salsas are flavorful and spicy. On top of that, fresh chips and salsa are free!
The service: the service is friendly, but there is sometimes a language barrier that can slow up the ordering process. This can be a problem if it is busy, which it frequently is.

Four stars for good food, good service and great chips and salsa bar. We’ve been there twice now, having sampled their nachos, burritos and platters. It’s been well worth it each time. Their prices are reasonable and food preparation is quick and done with a smile.

This place is very close to my house so my partner and I decided to check it out because of its great dollar signs and only 1 $ on Unilocal.WORTH IT! This is a counter service restaurant and the food is made right in front of you (think Chipotle. But the similarities end there) so it’s FAST! The food reminds me of what I might get at Lorenzo’s or Café Delicious but less expensive and since its counter service tipping isn’t the usual 20% that you’d tack on to your bill at a sit down place.
I had the 2 enchilada plate (carnitas) with rice and beans. It cost me $ 7.50 and was delicious.
My favorite part about this restaurant was the CHIP BAR! Chips and salsa (many varieties) are available for you to serve yourself. YUMM!!!
You can get beer here and the menu listed a lime margarita as well although I cannot comment if it was made with tequila (full vs limited liquor license). Pepsi products are served in styrofoam cups (please don’t judge me but I swear I dream about this combination). I also treated myself to a churro for dessert (OH LAWD! I’m in love!)
The service here was incredibly friendly. I haven’t been to a place that had such a sincerely kind smiling crew in a very long time. It was a very positive atmosphere.
