I can not say enough about the SuperCuts in the Rockaway Mall. I’ve been there for haircuts and color and I have never walked out disappointed. The salon is clean, neat, quiet, and comfortable. The staff is professional and very friendly. They actually talk to you as they do your hair! My stylist is Therese and I can not say enough good things about her. She listens, she makes suggestions, she takes her time, she is friendly and very good at her job. I can not speak for other SuperCuts but the Rockaway Mall location is awesome. I am actually sitting in a chair getting a cut and color right now. This location does not deserve 2 stars. And certainly Therese in my opinion deserves 10 stars. You should give them a try. They do not rush you out like others say. I’ve also never seen hair stay on the floor after a cut. I have always been happy with the results. The prices are fair and the service is great!

I’ve been to way too many salons in my life. Some good, some bad. One day I wandered into SuperCuts after I couldn’t get an appointment at my usual salon(a very high end men’s barber in Wyckoff). I walked into SuperCuts and Lisa gave me the best haircut I’ve had. Lisa was very knowledgable about both barbering and the products. She introduced me to a pomade that I never heard of, but now wouldn’t start a morning without. All I know is… wherever Lisa goes… I’m going there.

I have never, in my entire life, had a worse haircut. The woman that cut my hair insisted I needed to use a clarifying shampoo daily, which is wrong because that would just dry my hair out and not actually resolve the issue; I will just listen to my dermatologist on this one. Anyways, aside from her bad advice, my hair came out slanted, jagged, and crooked. I had to go to a real salon and have nearly 3 inches cut off to even out her total hack job.

Horrible. Walked in and had to enter info into a kiosk. 3 women working and not a look or a hello from any of them. Within 15 minutes all 3 were available but were too busy talking about shift changes, who’s covering for who, new hair color of co-workers. Ended up walking out after 10 minutes of that. Said goodbye to the kiosk since it had the best personality in there.

It is ashamed as I was hopeful at first with this place after giving up on the one in Boonton. I think two of the stylists are decent put unfortunately this past Saturday it was so bad that I had to leave there and go somewhere else to get my haircut fixed. So yes you could say I am done with them. It was on my birthday so it irritated me a bit more as I needed to take more time out to find someplace to fix the bad haircut when I already had a busy day planned.

Don’t recommend them, it’s like an assembly line in here and they must be getting paid per head. It’s a 5 minute hair cut, they don’t clean the clippings off completely and quite frankly the hair cuts are bad.

Been here twice and have mixed experiences at this place. Had a good haircut and a nice conversation with the barber one time, and the opposite next time. Clean place, $ 14 for a men’s haircut.

Okay so yesturday I went in to get a haircut. First I called and they sounded really nice. I asked for prices and they said $ 14 for haircut and wash and $ 8 for eyebrow wax. I walked in and was greeted by very nice and pretty young women. So as I was getting my haircut, I noticed that she was struggling a lot. To make the story short, she did not know how to cut hair. It came out terrible and the whole back was uneven. Then, she didn’t even wash it. She used gel and styled it flat and ugly. When I went to get my eyebrows waxed, she used too much wax and she slowly pulled the cloth out. It turns out that when I got home I had 4 wax BURNS on different area around my eyebrows. I was so mad. Now tmrw I have school what am I goin to do! Never again will I get anything done by them. Now dnt be fooled by the young 19 year old girls that work there who are very pretty and nice and have nice hairstyles themselves because they do an Awful terrible job! Don’t recommend going to this place. Dnt waste your time or u will regret it! They are very, very inexperienced young women which explains since they are young.

It’s been a while since I had been at a Supercuts and I’ll admit I am used to military base barber shops, but this place was brutal. I came in and was not greeted by anyone for a solid 15 minutes. During this time 2 people were cutting hair and one was just sweeping. When I was finally approached I was asked«What do you want?». Since it is Supercuts I figured it would be pretty obvious i wanted a haircut but I guess not. I was told it would probably be a 20 minute wait so I could leave if I wanted. Ok… that makes sense, push people out of your business. I needed a haircut since I am in the military so i stayed. I asked for simple medium skin fade and trim up the top, came out with a high and tight. Thankfully I now know that Supercuts is not what I remembered from my youth and is really just a trendy place for rude people to gather.

I had this great hair stylist at a different salon and then she moved and I was abandoned. So since all I wanted was a trim I thought I was safe falling back on supercuts. The pros: AWESOME wash! She really got in there and scrubbed my head and after a long day at work it was wonderful. It was close to my bus. She was super sweet The cons: She missed the whole lower layer of my hair…(I still have fried hair down there) I ended with two layers instead of light feathering and shapping(not what I asked for) I eneded up keeping it up in a pony tail(looked kinda cute in it too but murder on my head since I have thick heavey hair) for a month before I could get it fixed somewhere else. So for myself I will not be going there unles I need just a straigh cut that doesnt require any finishing techniques…
