I just took my 2 year old granddaughter to this place. On walking in the woman behind the counter was in a business dress and was annoyed when I asked questions about the service. One worker was sitting on a chair on her phone and didn’t look up. The person we had walked her to the sink and said at least 3 times that no one ever has their hair washed! She was very uncomfortable with the child. We went to the chair for the haircut. She did not interact with her and then gave her a bucket of used toys to play with as she cut her hair. Again she appeared uncomfortable and did not interact with the child. This is an experience for a 2 year old. When she finished she put a flower in her hair with a big black bobby pin. It was a piece of a flower not even the entire thing! She handed her a plastic dollar and pointed her to the machine where a prize with tiny parts was given as a prize. The entire place was old and appeared used and not clean. Plain white towels and green surgical towels were used and appeared old. The atmosphere was not child friendly at all! The woman at the register was only concerned if I wanted change for a tip. Now for $ 24.99 and a 15 minute experience you would think she would get a good haircut. She had short uneven bands and hair going in all directions. One person asked if she cut her own hair. Shame on you ! You are working with children and trying to make caring for themselves a positive experience. This was stealing from parents trying to have an experience for and with their child. SHAMEONYOU !!! I will never return or recommend you to anyone. The picture is also deceiving. The show was an advertisement for the salon and the toys were old and used. I wonder if they are ever cleaned. Can you really take a bucket of toys and reuse them with children? Now I will need to find someone to repair the damage you did to her hair. as a follow up: The owner called me and has agreed to refund my money and follow up on my concerns. She was very pleasant and understanding. Hope this will help future customers.

Horrible hair cut for my son the last time I went a few months back. I gave specific instructions to the woman and she mangled my son’s hair.

I went for my son’s first haircut at 17 months old a couple of weeks ago despite the low rating here. everyone was very friendly and the haircut was excellent. My son has very curly hair and hates when strangers come near him with tools… doctors nurses hair dressers included. The hairdresser approached him and was extremely friendly. He smiled at her and we sat in the kid friendly chair and she kept him distracted while she cut away. A few times my son looked up and started to throw a fit but she calmed him down and went along with the cut. As long as he was distracted he was ok. The cut was finished in about 5 minutes and it was very cute! I will be going there for every haircut! It is super kid friendly!

If I could give no stars I would! One star for the place being cute! Went with our 15 month old grandson. I’m still dizzy from the bleach smell! The blonde haircutter was bleaching the chairs and it was overwhelming She was actually gagging and telling the rest of the staff she was going to be sick. She kept repeating her self.“I’m gonna be sick“ The hair dresser was ruff and keep spraying the baby with moose and water. She kept asking us if she could use the buzzers on him. My daughter explained he ready had a hard day and didn’t want to scare him. She kept pushing 3 times she asked. No listen to your clients. His haircut was awful he looks butchered. He sat quietly and was not moving. No excuse for the bleach smell and BTW the blonde came out with a mask on. If you have a mask on what about little children. Poor place will never be back.

When I review places geared towards kids, I seem to stick out like a sore thumb. I tend to give higher ratings, and for Snip-its, here are my reasons: 1. The upsell. The place has toys, and the toys have price tags. So? When you get your own hair cut or styled, don’t you get asked if you would like any product? Or men — maybe asked if you’d also like a shave? It happens. It’s capitalism. 2. Not all barbers/stylists are created equal. When you go to your own barber/salon, don’t you have a specific person you go to, or wait for? Then find the right one for your kid. Here’s a tip — ask for SUZANNE. She’s been working at Snip-Its for a while, and she’s awesome. She’s very calm with the kids and friendly. She gave my son a mohawk during the summer and it looked great for weeks. Today she gave him a fade and a trim, and my daughter got bangs and about 4 – 5 inches lopped off; both are happy campers. I’ll admit, I had my one younger son get a haircut from here once(different stylist) and his surfer-boy locks were supposed to get trimmed only, but he instead came out looking like Jackie Chan in Snake in Eagle’s Shadow(for those who don’t get the reference… it’s not a good look). 3. Professionalism. I’ve never had an experience with a rude front-desk person. Maybe I just got lucky, but I can only tell you about what I’ve seen.

Worst place to take your child for a cut. Never thought it was possible to make a 2 year old look bad, but snip it was able to archive it. How do you take on a hair cut you don’t know how to do. By the way it was a simple fade I asked for. Now my son looks like Matt Damon’s Elysium. Thank you snip it for being the worst place to take a child to get a cut.

My 2 year old twin girls loved it here, and they usually throw fits when they get their hair brushed. Stylists keep the kids entertained with toys and short videos, and they receive prizes when the haircut is over. Visually, the salon is very fun as well. Only reason thayt I am not giving 5 stars is that I didn’t love the hairstyle, done with tiny rubberbands and a barrette, that the girls were given… thought it did look very neat and tidy. Next time I will discuss possible styles with the stylist. Kids also can get«first haircut» photos and snips of your child’s hair to save. I’m a big fan, and we will definitely be back many times.

If the very rude girl at the front desk tells you it will be a 25 minute wait you can bet it will be at least an hour. Haircuts aren’t that great and the«salon» is packed with toys for kids to beg you to buy them. The only reason they get two stars is because it is the only place I can take my kids without worrying that I am bothering other patrons.
