I hadn’t even walked in the store and a woman who worked there came outside to hold opened the door for me.(Mind you, its quite blustery out there today) … After I entered she introduced herself to me(unfortunately I forgot her name) She informed me about their sales and told me to check out the«party on the patio in the back». I thought that was all a very nice touch on her part! Great customer service! Overall this chain is filled with beautiful things I aspire to own… but my wallet just won’t let me. SO, I find my self«watching» an item here and there, hoping it goes on sale or clearance. But in all honesty, there are some beautiful furniture pieces, lamps, candles, pictures, vases… the list goes on! I hate going in there in the winter with my puffy coat as I fear I will break something.

Friendly sales associates, wonderfully unique and fun home and gift items, good quality on most items(I love their table linens, the napkins are so soft and not stiff) and with items on sale, you can’t beat the quality for the price! They sell UNICEF cards and then store makes nothing in them! They are so adorable, as is everything in the store! All the sales associates were so nice and helpful!

Pier 1 is a true chain in that you can find just about the same stuff at every location. I appreciate this, but sometimes it would be nice to have a few surprises, you know? No surprises, here, though the employees are friendly and helpful. The aisles were cluttered with sale signs on seasonal furniture(mid July is the best time to get patio furniture). There’s always the plentiful selection of fancy pillows, fuzzy rugs, and of course papasan chairs(an outdoor version, too!). Clocks and candles and trendy ultra breakable glassware abound, at reasonable prices but often slightly more than their true worth. You could do better in a nearby department store for value and probably any local décor shop for quality, though Pier 1 does have it’s own sense of style with some things. Clearance prices can lead to a decent score, but again, better discounts can be had elsewhere. I would be excited to receive a gift card from here, but I find myself only browsing if it’s on my own dime.
