Holy cow. Get Caked has gotten even better, if that’s possible. We got some cookies & cupcakes for friends in the office today and they all got rave reviews. The toffee cookie has little toffee chips in an amazing caramel-y cookie. So delicious, soft & chewy. AMAZING. The coconut key lime cupcake is also bonkers good. We will be back. You should go now!

Stopped in a few times and I’ve never been disappointed. Staff has always been friendly. Most recent visit was because of a coupon through Loupe for a free cookie. Got two to enjoy on the walk home. We tried the toffee, which was a good recommendation and the usual choice, peanut butter chocolate chip.

Really enjoyed the cookies and chocolate raspberry cupcake. A perfect option if your having a bad day or if you just can’t resist the taste! I especially enjoyed the blueberry oatmeal cookie and the toffee crisp. Their focus is vegan and gluten free which are different I will admit but once you taste the difference you appreciate them more. They are incredibly moist and succulent. I try to stop by every time I’m close to village gate!

We ordered for the first time from Get Caked bakery for my daughter’s baby shower. We ordered 4 different flavors of cupcakes, chocolate, vanilla, chocolate raspberry, and cherry vanilla. Everyone asked,” where did you get these cupcakes from? «They all loved them very delicious! The price was reasonable and was worth every penny! We will order again and recommend them to our family and friends! Thank you!

Any of the cupcakes with a chocolate base are pretty good: they’re dense and moist. Any of the white-type cupcakes I thought were dry and crumbly. I enjoy the fact that they’re vegan friendly and very welcoming. Not my first choice when sussing out cupcakes, however.

We love stopping in for vegan cookies! I get especially excited when they have vegan brownies! I think I could live off the brownies. My boyfriend surprises me with a cupcake from them every once in a while and it always makes my day! Haven’t had anything there that I haven’t liked!

I’m not the type of person who knows enough about baked goods to be able to tell a huge difference as to whether or not a cupcake is «good». I am, however, the type of person who definitely enjoys a good dessert. Lately, Get Caked has ascended to the top of my list, not just because of the delightful treats, but the outstanding customer service I’ve experienced. A last-minute cookie exchange left me in a lurch during the holiday season, and I knew I wasn’t going to have enough time to bake enough cookies myself. The other participants didn’t mind store-bought cookies, so I scoured Unilocal for some recommendations. Get Caked was suggested to me and I decided to investigate. Not only could they supply me with plenty of cookies, but they did it with barely 24 hours notice. I was so impressed by the way they were able to help me out and didn’t make me feel like I called too late or was asking for too much. As a general rule, they request at least 24 hours notice for a cookie tray order. Recently I ordered another 75 count tray with a week’s notice this time. A 50 count tray is $ 25/$ 36 gluten free, 75 count is $ 36/$ 47 gluten free, and 109 count is $ 45/$ 56 gluten free. You really have to love those prices, and each cookie is fresh and super chewy. Personally, I recommend the toffee crisp and blueberry oat cookies as my top picks. I’ve had so many cupcakes there over the years that they all kind of blend together for me, but that’s ok because it means that none of them were so horrible that they stood out in my mind. I recommend the chocolate peanut butter cupcake because I always like that flavor, but everything they have set out always looks amazing. The fruity pebble cupcake is usually the one one I’ve never seen anyone really care for, but I’m guessing there’s a certain level of risk in baking dry cereal into a cupcake. For the price(between $ 2.50-$ 4), any cupcake is worth a shot. Get Caked specializes in gluten free and vegan treats and is very allergy-conscious. It’s clear that the bakery understands that no two customers have the same needs, as well as the same wants when it comes to flavors. Cakes, cupcakes, and cookies can all be ordered to adapt to many dietary restrictions. Make sure when you go in, you get a punch card, you get one punch per visit and when you get 10 punches, you can redeem for a free treat. Who doesn’t love free treats from a bakery? I’ve made a point now of bringing goodies from Get Caked to various events, and when I bring the leftovers to work the next day, everything gets eaten quickly. Next time you find yourself in need of a cookie tray, give Get Caked a call and experience the amazing customer service for yourself.

How should I put this… YUM?! The delicious smells did not deceive. First plus: So many vegan and gluten-free options. I’ve got this place earmarked for the next holiday’s gifts. Second plus: They were frosting cupcakes in the back when we stopped in, and were happy to identify the fruit-filled ones I spotted as Peanut Butter & Jelly(yes please). They even offered to hold our purchases while we had dinner at Cali Rollin’. I managed to go a full 24 hours before cramming it into my mouth, and I have to say that they were calories well-spent. The cake was moist, the jelly ample, and the peanut butter frosting was light and creamy. Wonderful composition. An entirely memorable confection. It bodes well for their other items, which I look forward to eating. I am caked.

Adam and I came here to get some dessert for a weekend away to celebrate our anniversary. The location is great and easy to find but if you aren’t familiar with village gate it can be confusing. Eventually your nose will lead the way. Adam and I each got a cookie to eat on the way to buffalo and they were great, super flavorful and gone in about 30 seconds. Later that evening we had our cupcakes. We started with the fruity pebble cupcake. It was okay. Fruity pebbles are hard to cook with because they end up coming out like they are stale. The good thing though was the flavor. You could totally taste the fruity pebbles and it tasted like breakfast and dessert all at once. Next we had the raspberry lemonade cupcake. I was super disappointed and wished I had picked. Different cupcake. It is a lemon cupcake with lemon frosting and a ½ teaspoon of raspberry jelly in the middle, basically it was a lemon cupcake. I wish the frosting was raspberry. Lastly was the apple pie cupcake. This was fabulous be literally tasted like apple pie right down to the chunks of apple in it. I would certainly suggest that one. Overall, it was okay here. There are so many great bakery’s in Rochester so you really need to have it together. I would t rule out coming here but with so many other bakery’s I would possibly pick somewhere else. Side note– they do a lot of GF here if you have an issue.

After having dinner at the Gate House, my friends and I came across Get Caked. We each bought a cookie(red velvet, toffee and chocolate chip) and a cupcake(Boston cream, almond and fruity pebbles). We shared the cookies and they were amazing! The cupcakes were the best I’ve had in a long time! The cake was moist, flavorful and clearly fresh. I would definitely recommend Get Caked and will return in the near future! Also, the girl(I’m assuming she was the owner) was super sweet and very friendly!

Was looking for vegan baked goods, decided to try this place out. Tried vanilla chai and cranberry orange cupcakes, was not impressed, the frosting was plain like something you would find in walmart and the base left much to be desired.

We used Get Caked for our wedding cake. Kelly was a pleasure to work with and exceeded our expectations. They even delivered the cake and set it up at our reception well outside of Rochester for a very reasonable fee. The entire process was a wonderful experience.

First Visit… Stopped by to see what the place was like. I was a few minutes early and had to wait for them to open, but the minute they opened the door I knew I had made a good call. The smell was amazing! I am admittedly not a huge fan of cupcakes, so I did not get one of those, but I will probably try one at some point. I did get an iced sugar cookie, and a blueberry oatmeal cookie. The sugar cookie was very good… clearly fresh, and came in cute ghost or pumpkin shapes. The blueberry oatmeal cookie was a revelation! So delicious and moist, with mild blueberry flavor and a great density. As far as the store front, it is small, but very nice. The area seemed extremely clean. The building it is in is very unique and fun, and has some other stores as well. The employees manning the shop were both VERY friendly, and happy to help me. We chatted a bit, and they offered cookie suggestions and advised that they normally have many more cupcake flavors ‘on tap’(they were still cooling from the oven waiting to be iced… again, I arrived RIGHT as they opened). Between the amazing baked goods, and the personable service, I will definitely be returning here to try more products. So much for my diet… Multiple Visits Later… Still awesome. I have tried almost every cookie now, and they all rock. My favorites are the blueberry oatmeal, peanut butter, and molasses. But I have yet to try a cookie I DON’T like. I have tried a pumpkin cupcake with maple frosting as well, and despite not being a cupcake person I really liked it! Very dense, which is how I like my cupcakes. I also got a bunch of cupcakes for my visiting friend’s birthday. She is a cupcake snob, and really liked these as well(although she felt they could use a bit less frosting). As other reviewers have mentioned, there is not a HUGE selection, but it is not an enormous bakery. If you want great fresh cookies and cupcakes, I highly recommend it. They also do very nice looking wedding and birthday stuff, which you can find photos of on their Facebook page. The owners are awesome and incredibly friendly, and I always feel very welcome. Go check it out!

Get Caked is a cool bakery. They have a variety of vegan and dairy desserts. Reviews for Get Caked are all over the map. I think this is a result of a couple of key things… #1VEGAN: The one thing that makes this bakery unique is that it has many vegan desserts. How awesome is that? Unfortunately,(let’s be honest here) those who aren’t vegan may find that their taste buds may not quite welcome the taste of some of the vegan items. #2DESSERTS: The variety is small. What you order here is hit or miss. If we would have only ordered one or two things, we certainly wouldn’t have returned. We tried a variety of their cupcakes and a half dozen cookies. So if this is your first time going, make sure you get plenty to try. Luckily, I really liked their peanut butter cookies, which happened to be vegan, and were probably the best peanut butter cookies that I’ve ever had. Great location and I would totally return for a couple of desserts when hanging out at Village Gate.

This place is great. The staff is very friendly and I love that you are looking right into the kitchen and can see how clean everything is. The fact that they cater to Vegan customers AND people who consume dairy is fantastic. I can get cupcakes for myself(Dairy free), and still satisfy other people I am making a purchase for. I love that they can make a simple special cake in a few days notice. Lets face it, who doesn’t love a cupcake? My favorite so far is the Vegan Lemon Raspberry. SOGOOD!

The $ 1 sugar cookie for a Unilocal check-in at GC lured me in. When we finally found this cute little bakery shop located within the Village Gate, I proceeded to check-in so I could redeem my offer. I was ready to Get Caked, but I was about to Get Faked. I wanted that $ 1 sugar cookie but unfortunately they were all out. So, I asked for a substitute for the sugar cookie check-in offer. A reasonable request, I thought, since I’m just asking to pay $ 1 for a different cookie. I’m pretty sure that a sugar cookie substitute shouldn’t cost much more than $ 1 or so. That’s when I learned that the offer expired«a long time ago.» And, furthermore no, I could not get a substitute cookie. Do not pass go, do not collect a sugar cookie substitute, proceed to check-in offer jail. Sure enough, I noticed after checking in that the offer was only valid for a single day in 2013. Okay, you got me. Yes, there is a date listed before checking in but no, that’s not just the beginning date of the promo. Apparently, after checking in you learn that 12/14/2013 is the beginning *and* the end of the $ 1 sugar cookie promo. The alpha and the omega of the $ 1 sugar cookie. The first and last date of availability for the check-in offer. Maybe it’s time to take that«check-in offer» off the Unilocal business page? I recovered from my sugar cookie loss and then decided to purchase some cookies anyway. We selected several different kinds, cut them into bite-sized pieces, and shared them with a group of 7 or so. After sampling, I decided that I would probably forgive GC for the expired check-in offer and make a return trip just for the molasses. The perfectly baked molasses cookie was slightly crisp on the outside but thick, soft and chewy on the inside. Great texture and thickness. Just enough sweetness. It was heavenly. My favorite. The gluten free blueberry oatmeal seemed to be the group favorite. Soft and chewy with just a hint of blueberry. The red velvet cookie was okay. One person in our group really liked it but no one raved over it. It’s a beautiful red color but methinks red velvet should have a little cream cheese frosting, even if it is only a cookie and not a cake. We tried two different chocolate chip cookies. The gluten free was crisper but a little sweeter than the regular chocolate chip. Both tasty but I was really wishing we had picked up a few more molasses instead. Overall, GC is a cute local bakery with some very tasty cookies. If I’m in the area again, I may swing by for some molasses cookies and perhaps try a cupcake or two. Maybe by then I will be lucky enough to score a one day deal on a killer molasses cookie.

I’ve stopped here a few times after dinner at one of the Village Gate restaurants. To be perfectly honest, it pains me to say I’m not a big fan of the cupcakes. The last one I tried didn’t taste fresh and the frosting was like paste. Now where the 4 star rating comes in is the cookies!!! I now skip the cupcakes and go right for the red velvet or blueberry oatmeal cookies, they are outstanding!

This place is AMAZING! I love their cupcakes and often use them for bribery! It’s impossible to get something lousy here, everything is amazing. My personal favorites are the peanut butter and jelly cupcakes! Yum! They also do gluten free bread which not many people know about! It’s absolutely amazing and FAR better than Udi’s They have a punch card for 10 visits then a free treat! They’ve always been really great to me! I do wish they had more on hand because usually they are selling so fast that it’s hard to get a complete order of anything. However, it’s all worth it and ordering ahead is simple! Try Em once! You’ll be hooked!!!
