In need of custom framing? This is the place to do it. Their studio is located in Village Gate near The Gate House. Sean is the owner — very friendly and helpful. I walked in the shop fully admitting my ignorance, not sure what was required to pick a frame for a print I was giving as a Christmas gift. I also knew there was a chance I wasn’t able to get it framed in time so close to the holiday and orders were likely backed up. Thankfully for me(and him) he had ordered too much white framing for a past order and had enough to frame my print. He was able to get in done within 2 days. Seriously, thank goodness for Sean and that extra wood. A Christmas miracle indeed. As with most framing shops, I recommend giving yourself enough lead time(5+ days) for the frame order to come in and make it. Anyway, since I had no idea what I wanted/needed, Sean walked me through some options with matting or plain frame options, noting pricing differences, etc. In the end, we both agreed the white frame on its own looked best with the print. The final product was perfect. He had it ready by the deadline we agreed on and called me to let me know it was done. It was a 20×28in print and cost ~$ 83 to frame. This is one thing I need to leave to the pros so I’ll be trusting Black Radish for all my future framing needs.
