Party City of Chesterfield

I’ve been shopping at this location for 3 years now, and always had adequate service, nothing amazing to speak of, nothing terrible either. I’ve purchased a broad range of items from balloons to costumes, and the prices are decent for lack of quality. I came in this past Sunday, May 3 2015, to get some balloons I purchased on eBay inflated. These are balloons that Party City no longer carries, so I had no choice but to buy them elsewhere and have them shipped flat, then inflated in my choice of retailers. I had 3 balloons, they’re walking dog balloons, Mylar with weighted feet so they stay on the ground. 2 of the balloons had been inflated previously at this exact Party City, at least 3 other times, and 1 was still flat from shipping. On my previous trips with the 2 balloons I was charged 89 cents a balloon to have them inflated. But last Sunday I was charged $ 3.99 a balloon, that’s the price of the balloon brand new. When I argued it with your clerk, she insisted I’d been charged wrong the last 3 times, and I held my ground on not being happy about the price increase. Then I will assume it was a manager that was called to the front, a woman who remembered me from my previous trip, and she insisted that she charged me $ 1.99 a balloon for inflation the last time I was in. At the time I couldn’t argue it, but I kept my receipt and now I see she was wrong, I was only charged 89 cents. Their compromise was to only charge me $ 1.99 a balloon, and told me that if I bring them back the price is $ 3.99 a balloon for inflation. Not only is the price increase, the lack of apology for being wrongly charged a cheaper amount, and the lack of concern for their employees wrongly charging customers making me angry but I was treated like I was insane for getting these balloons inflated again. Your managers exact words «you’re still getting these inflated?», embarrassing me in front of other employees and other customers. Thank you for that, I greatly appreciate being treated like a crazy person by a stranger in front of other strangers. Do you think I could ever feel comfortable entering this store again? I honestly can’t believe she said that to me, I am so offended. I will never go back in this store.

Planning a double birthday party for my children that turn 1 and 3. We are having a Superhero/​Princess party.
Found everything I needed at Party City. I got all kinds of Superhero plates, cup and gift bags. My wife was really happy with the princess items. We got the same, but she isn’t into the Disney stuff. They had a whole section that was just call Princess.
I’m sure if I shopped around, I could have found some of the stuff a little cheaper, but Party City has it all in one place and that made it a lot easier!
