Best general tsao in the area, and huge portions. Can’t believe how fast the delivery came. My girlfriend liked the chicken lo mein a lot too

Excellent Chinese food. Beef & broccoli and lo mein are delicious. Places nearer to VCU campus– I’m a student, so this is important to me: P– their food has little to no taste. Unfortunately, Huang’s does not deliver, but it is worth it to get out and pick it up!

I came to this restaurant because I love Vietnamese food! The customer service orientation is definitely missing in this place. The young lady took my order and I never saw her again. Someone else served my food and another person took my check. The young lady who originally served me decided to sit at a table nearby to munch on her food. I felt like more of a burden than a customer when I had to wave my hand to her for a container! She brought the container and when I asked for the check, I asked for them separately. Of course she brought out 1 check. I will never come back again. Tay-Ho on West Broad is MUCH better. Better food, better service, better atmosphere.

Mighty Tasty Shrimp and Pork Egg Foo Yung. I am going to tell you why this may be the best take out Chinese food in Richmond. I’ve been here about 5 times and it’s been consistently good. On a Friday night they had no less than 7 different groups walk in while I was waiting for my take out. It’s a small family type Chinese food place with the high school age daughters running the register. The menu has some chefs specialty items I’m going to try. The Egg Foo Young is perfection in a box. It’s fried perfectly, not greasy, the sauce is packed separately and has that rich caramel color that tells you it got some flavor. Not salty, not greasy, good rice, very nice dish and they give you three large pancakes of the egg Foo young. Their egg rolls are fresh and hot. The wonton soup is rich and the wonton are fresh and huge. Moo Goo Gai Pan has been very tasty with lots of chicken, broccoli, and snow peas. They have a drink cooler with all sorts of soft drinks. I’m giving it four stars because this place needs a dining room update. The banquettes are covered with cloth because they’re torn and kind of old. Well, not kind of, they’re old. Otherwise, the place gets busy with people all times of the day. Their lunch specials are good and plentiful.

Definitely your typical American Chinese Food served by a real Chinese family. Very confusing, but still very good and like the other reviewer says, very good leftovers!

Absolutely bye far the best Chinese restaurant in the area. They are a very nice family owned restaurant with great food. I have never had anything that was bad from here. You can always ask for extra spicy on most dishes. The only thing is they don’t deliver but it’s totally worth the trip for such great food.

Not good anymore! Not good at all… I’ve enjoyed Huang’s Express over the past few year as it HAS been a good Chinese take out spot. HOWEVER, and a BIGBIGBIGHOWEVER, this place has been borderline TERRIBLE the last two times I’ve had take out. The first bad experience was about a month ago, and my food just wasn’t as good as usual. I chalked it up to a one time thing. Last night I got takeout, and it was AWFUL. The hot and sour soup was absolutely tasteless. It had NO flavor at all. None. Nada. Zip. It was like they forgot an ingredient or something that created ALL the flavor. Furthermore, the fried noodles that come with the soup were so stale that they were hard to chew– GROSS! We also ordered General Tao Chicken and Orange Chicken. They tasted EXACTLY the same and we couldn’t tell the difference– no orange flavor at all in the orange chicken. They were also filled with fried nuggets that had no chicken in them. About half of each combo was just inedible fried bits. So disappointing… To finish it off, the egg rolls were soft and chewy — not crispy like usual. This was, hands down, the WORST Chinese meal I have ever had. My last two experiences deserve a ½ star rating at best… Two VERY bad experiences in a row = I will not be returning.

Best Chinese American restaurant around this area. Cheap lunch special under $ 5 for an entrée that comes with either fried rice or white rice. I would choose this over any other fast food around. General tso chicken, shrimp Lo mein, and spare rib tips are my favorite from there!

I’ve eaten at this restaurant since 1998 they’re servin are generous and their food is awesome. Their food is consistantly good, what I mean by that is the way something taste is always the way it will taste. I pass many Chinese places to go to Huangs.

This was totally serviceable cheap american chinese takeout. The steamed dumplings were gummy, I won’t get them again, but the eggrolls and the combo platters(kung pao chicken & chicken with broccoli) were good. The best part was, they stood up to re-heating, which is my favorite part about chinese takeout: leftovers! It’s about 2 blocks from our house, so… well, there you go.
