This is my first time going, only had one slice a spinach, pesto with mozzarella; on and the added bonus of hair. Yep, hair baked right into the cheese. I saw it in the middle, annoyed and irked. I know it probably isn’t going to make me sick but it really bothers me. It was nearby my work walking distance and thought I’d give it a try, it had several pizzas with amazing appearance and toppings. I hoped for better but got not such a deal. I hate it when this happens. Oddly enough I watched a girl in the kitchen area working with food. Her hair was pulled back but this hair was only an inch or so long. If I would have eaten the hair I might’ve been really pissed but thankfully I didn’t. I was disappointed as my lunch was cut short and I trashed the half slice left. Not sure as it wasn’t direct but the overall the pizza wasn’t bad despite the hair but wasn’t anything super. I wish it would have been hotter temperature wise. I hope to give it another chance as it was my first visit.

Good for the cheap price but the service is terrible! Servers barely speak English and have terrible customer service. But I guess u get what u pay for

It wasn’t good in Charlottesville, it wasn’t good in the Village off Three Chopt and it isn’t good here. Like Mellow Mushroom, it blows my mind places like this thrive and continue to expand. It’s edible, but only just. It’s not the type of pizza where your mouth waters for it… you probably won’t get a craving and think, «I must have that pizza.» My biggest problem is I do not like pizza by the slice… who knows how long it has been out. There is just no zing or wow.

Huge slices, good selections. Stopped in here between studying at the library near by. There seems to only be one person working at a time. They have a sign on the drink machine that says«one refill only». I’d say the pizza is pretty tasty. My coworker got meatless selections and I enjoyed slices with various meats.

Quick, fresh and hot. Most authentic fast food pizza I have had in a long time. I had the tomato basil pizza and pepperoni, and it did not disappoint. The mozzarella on the tomato basil was awesome. I also had their Caesar salad which was super fresh. I was definitely satisfied.

Cheap. Late. Night. Food. If you are struggling sober or drunk after 11, this place is a saving grace. Where you get a cheap cheese or pepperoni slice for like $ 2. During regular times, I always get a specialty slice like the Chicken Pesto or Margharita pizza. It always hits the spot and is affordable on a college student budget. Now I am kinda craving a slice.

The young woman behind the counter was EXTREMELY rude. I witnessed a girl politely ask for two glasses of water, and saw the girl stack two glasses of water behind the counter and make the customer reach over and grab the glasses. It was EXTREMELY rude and was unnecessary. It was a slow night and the workers attitude was completely unnecessary. I would suggest management have a discussion with the help.

This place brings back fond memories of my undergrad years in cville! I’m so glad they opened one here. What I love about this place is their wide variety of ready made pizzas even at night. The crust is thin and crispy and comes warm out the oven. YUM! RVA doesn’t have many good late night eats and this is a great addition. It’s not the best pizza you’ll ever have but definitely hits the spot after a night out. Anddd after 11pm cheese and pepperoni slices are only $ 2!

I’m not a huge pizza fan, but Christian’s has pretty good pizza – creative, too. I got one slice with basil, tomatoes, and mozzarella; and another one with mushrooms, feta cheese, spinach, and tomatoes. I liked it so much, I went back within the week. Always super busy on a Saturday night – expect a long line!

I go to Christian’s Pizza occasionally after VCU basketball games. The restaurant is usually busy after games on weekends. I’ve tried different types of pizza slices at Christian’s Pizza. The toppings and sauce is flavorful. Christian’s crust is hit or miss(too crispy at times– in my opinion). The pizza shop is small with some seating outside(sidewalk). Christian’s Pizza has cheap pepperoni & cheese slices after 11pm. Customers add their own spices to pizza(oregano, parmesan cheese, and garlic). Parking can be a hassle at times. Service is fast and very friendly. Christian’s Pizza is a decent choice for pizza slices. I give Christian’s Pizza a 3.5 rating.

Went here today for a quick bite before heading into a basketball at VCU! I was first drawn to the fact this place was open late and that after 11 pizza slices were just 2 bucks including the tax! I just got a simple pepperoni slice and it was out in about 5mins. Pizza was definitely worth the price, but would love to get a bit more seasoning on it on the front end! Had to add a lot of the table seasoning to get it just right which I hate to have to do, but it didn’t ruin the experience too much

The 2AM Godsend. Crust is crispy and thin. Toppings range from traditional to unique. Taste is always consistent every visit. My only qualms about the place are the employees that work there that SCREAM at you and yank money out of your hands. Jesus, people. But I guess it gets pretty annoying when you deal with drunken buffoonery.

Favorite pizza place on campus! The quality of all of their ingredients is amazing and they offer so many different types of pizza. I am normally a picky eater when it comes to pizza toppings, but I’m a huge fan of their chicken Parmesan pizza. The interior and design is modern and the place is kept very clean. This is the go to spot for drunk college kids late at night, especially since they offer discounts on cheese and pepperoni slices after a certain hour. Christians is also nice for a quick lunch or takeout for dinner. I’m very impressed and very happy they came to town.

Nothing fancy, just a place where you walk up, order a slice of pizza and a local craft beer, and sit to enjoy it. You can sit inside or outside. It’s simple but darn good pizza. The fact that it’s open late — and I mean late — is a plus. The fact that you can get pizza by the slice is awesome. And hey, by the way, it’s REALLY good! The crust is crispy, and the sauce delicious. Try the«caper and onion» pizza — capers, red onions(of course), fresh basil, tomatoes, feta cheese. Truly good.

Alright, so I must admit, I have had my fair share of actual New York and Chicago pizzas and I know that puts my tastebuds for pizzas in another league… but I must be honest, I was not impressed by the pizzas here! I really like the atmosphere as it is a very convenient and quick bite to eat if you are down that way for lunch or dinner. However, I ordered the Hawaiian and spicy chicken pizzas by the slice and they were alright. Not much flavor to it but then again, I think I have high expectations. Perhaps I ordered the wrong flavors?

This review is for late-night only(past 1am) Saddens me to write this because I love Christian’ pizza during the day. The pizza itself is great. There is a perfect amount of cheese to sauce ratio and there isn’t a puddle of grease floating on top. It’s the perfect place for cheap delicious pizza for broke college students. Cheese and pepperoni during the day are a mere $ 2.25 and specialty pizzas can go as high as $ 4.75 per slice. After 11 pm every night, cheese and pepperoni pizza are $ 2 for a slice and since it’s open til 3am, this makes Christian’s THE spot for drunk, obnoxious college students. The lines usually go out the door past 1am Thursdays through Saturdays. Okay that’s fine, it’s located in the middle of the undergrad campus so what else can you expect? My issue is that the workers here are so lazy and incompetent that it took us 40 minutes to get our pizza because the line was moving at world’s slowest speed. I don’t understand why they can’t simply have the pizzas ready in a box during these latenight peak hours since everyone is getting the same thing anyway around this time(cheese or pep)?? During those 40 minutes in line I could’ve just gotten pizza delivered home from elsewhere or better, MADEMYOWNPIZZA. Definitely avoiding Christian’s for my drunk munchies.

Ohhhhhh man. This was some of the best pizza I’ve had in so long! I love a good tangy sauce and stringy, bubbly cheese. Be still my heart. I’m pretty sure that I’ll turn into a slice of pizza one day. That’s how serious my love affair is. I could eat it all day everyday, but, alas, I must resist. I did see the documentary«Supersize Me» which ruined my fantasies of going on an all pizza diet. *Sigh* When I went inside I was greeted by a perky manager. I love it when you can tell that someone is happy to be at work! I figure if they’re loving it then I should too! I let him know that I hadn’t ever been there before and he gave me the run down. At first I was a little worried because I thought that the pizza looked cold and like it had been sitting out for a while. I ordered it anyway because, well, pizza. So I chose a slice of pepperoni and mushroom and a slice of margherita. Oh how relieved I was to see that after you choose a slice, they send it in the brick oven to warm it on up. At this point I was so excited for my pizza that it’s embarrassing. After the slices were warmed up, he offered to cut them in half for me(and I let him). I sat there and had some quiet time while I ate and judged my glorious slice of heaven. Well, as you can probably tell already t’was the bomb! The owner followed up with me on my way out and asked if I liked the pie. «Duh!» I said. Easily one of the best slices in RVA. If only they delivered to Glen Allen…

$ 12 flat(tax included) for a large,(cheese) NY-Style pizza. The cheese pizza filled us up REALLY well. You can fold the slices and eat ‘em like sandwiches. What’s not to like(other than the intoxicated college kids bumping into you every 5 seconds)? I actually had cravings for this place the day after I went. Don’t get my wrong, it wasn’t the BEST pizza I’ve had in my life, but man it hit the spot… Cheap eats, and a huge pie was perfect amount to share amongst 4 of us. TIP: the herbs, extra cheese, spices, and garlic shakers on the table were the perfect toppings. Don’t underestimate them. I sprinkled the life out of those bottles.

I heard about this place MANY times before I actually came here, so I was sent in with high expectations. Thankfully, this place met them spectacularly. Came here with a lady friend in the early evening to dine in and see how their pizza compares with the multitude of pizza options here in RVA. This location is quite new(an extension of their empire from Charlottesville) and the attractive interior definitely conveys that newness. It’s very small in terms of seating(a large communal table, some stools facing the window, and two small tables in the corner), though I get the idea that this place does a lot more takeout than they do dine-in. The staff members were very pleasant and active, though we did have to wait a few minutes until someone left their pizza oven duties to come and take our order(small place = fewer employees). Prices here are quite reasonable, and they’ve cleverly built the tax into the food cost to avoid the complications that lots of coins bring. Basic pizza is $ 10(only one size here: impressively large), plus $ 2 for each topping, with specialty pizzas going up from there. Slices start at $ 2 normally, though they have a great $ 1.50 slice deal from 11 pm to 3 am(awesome, since I keep weird hours and could definitely see myself dropping by for this). Beer is available too and is also cheap. Usually, if you told me all of the above, I’d assume the pizza a place like this would serve would be of cheap quality; how wrong I would be! This pizza is extremely flavorful, with an impressive crust to boot(the perfect blend of chewy and crunchy, it’s how all crusts should be). You get great value for your money here. While I didn’t get a chance to try them, the calzones they have here look amazing as well. I’ll have to give those a shot when I return! There are only two negative things about this place: 1) the interior is COLD; it’s designed to make sure the heat from the oven doesn’t overwhelm the place, though it seems to overcompensate. Bring a jacket for sure!, and 2) parking is either difficult to find or will cost you money or both, no lots around here. Factor that into your budget when you’re making plans(75 cents an hour, FYI). This place has a ton of buzz about it in the area, and for good reason: excellent pizza at affordable prices in a pleasant(albeit cold) atmosphere. You can guarantee that I’ll be making frequent trips back in the not-too-distant future! Overall: 4.5 stars — — — — — - Pros: — Pizza is flavorful, with quality toppings and a great crust. — Everything is affordable, including the beer. — Staff members are friendly and helpful. — A great mix of standard and unique offerings will keep you coming back, and the late-night deals will make this a nocturnal stop for you as well. — Interior is new and attractive, but… Cons: — The interior is also extremely cold, at least on the occasion of my visit. Hopefully they’ll wrangle the thermostat into a normal range in the near future. — Parking here is challenging, and even if you find a space, you’ll have to pay 75 cents an hour for the privilege of parking there. However, if you walk or bike here, you’ll be in great shape.
