Let me start by stating the one main factor that pisses me off, they were so blatantly rude. They greeted you with a face full of annoyance and hatred. They are annoyed when you ask for drinks and did NOT once asked if we needed refills. They did not even ask how the food was, which was mediocre. When we left all they did was looked at us. No thank you or anything. Pretty clean place with some shitty services.

Unbelievable we were kicked out at 2:30PM. Because they close at 3:00. They also reopen a 4:00. Why would they do that at such a inconvenient time? Anyways I’ve been here several time before and was sadly disappointed with the service. It’s like they did not speak any English what so ever. I asked for a spoon and yet they had to get someone to translate for me. Never did they refill my drinks, and when asked for the check took them way to long. What are they doing when there was barely anybody? Food was decent but overpriced.

The prices are a bit pricey especially since they were raised a bit. However, the food itself is decent. I just love the side dishes!

Food is pretty average with nothing that stands out at all. They benefit from being the sole Korean BBQ restaurant in this strip market, but that doesn’t speak much else beyond that. Service is extremely spotty, ranging from almost acceptable to extremely abysmal. Flagging someone down for silverware was a new low. We were also told that asking for lettuce would cost us $ 2 since it is not included when you order entrees a la carte vs. the special they have(3 meats, 8 side dishes for $ 36). Since this wasn’t communicated on the menu for us, we were clearly surprised, so they comped the lettuce for us. It’s honestly really hard for me to recommend going to this place over the more popular and all you can eat ones in the area.

chang jing is me and my friend’s go-to korean restaurant when we’re in the mood for korean food… which is often. it’s a family-owned restaurant, and they always treat us well when we’re here. that being said, i’m honestly not sure why this place only has 3.5 stars/why people give them flack for their service or portions. we usually get the dak bulgogi, LA galbi, and bibimbap, all of which are delicious, especially the bibimbap. it tastes super fresh and light, and the LA galbi… well, it’s LA galbi. overall a great casual restaurant if you’re in the mood for no-fuss korean food/BBQ. it’s definitely not a «fast food» kind of restaurant, and service has always been friendly whenever my friend and i visited. i will definitely be back!

Yummy food! Wish I could use the grills at lunch time or if by myself at dinner. The metal chopsticks are interesting too.

Great Korean food with a variety of dishes! They also give you plenty of banchan(side dishes) and refill them free of charge. The prices are reasonable, and we haven’t tried anything that we haven’t liked so far. They also give you a free cinnamon drink after your meal. Definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone who likes Korean food or wants to try it out for the first time!

I usually go to Komart for Korean food because its good and only $ 6 but even though Chang Jing is more expensive it’s definitely worth every penny. First of all it’s a very nice looking restaurant and more importantly very clean. To be honest good service is hard to come buy in most Asian restaurants but not here, the owner was extremely friendly! He personally came and poured the soup for us, arranged the food for us and even stayed around to joke for a bit. As far as the food goes we had the bulgogi, pork belly and LA galbi, you can tell the meat they use is top quality. Personally those were by far the most tender, juicy and flavor galbi I’ve had my whole life. As I write this review I’m getting my car keys to go for lunch second day in a row!

This was my first time trying Korean cuisine, so I didn’t know what to expect. I ordered the Spicy Marinated Chicken accompanied with eight small side dishes. It was different but delicious. The chicken was unbelievably tender, moist and seasoned to perfection. A few of the side dishes weren’t for me, but the experience was priceless. The price was reasonable $ 12.95.

This is probably the only Korean place with superb service. The owner(a super friendly older man) takes his time to talk to customers. He gave my party some extra side dishes and rice! He also included a fist bump too! All of my friends love this place and their lunch specials aren’t bad either. They also love the fish cakes here!(I can’t really say anything about it because I hate fish lol) One of my friends said, «I can taste the love made into cooking this meal». So I’ll let you decide from that statement as to whether or not this place would be a good place to eat or not. I’ll always be a customer here!

I used to be a regular, and it WAS good here. But on my most recent trip, I have been HIGHLY disappointed. The portions are SMALL. I used to always get the stir fry spicy squid, but lately, the portion of squid have been getting smaller and smaller. There is less squid but the price is expensive. What am I paying for then? Their kimchi fish egg soup only had 3SMALL pieces of fish eggs. I also order 4 – 5 dishes for me, my wife and 2 kids. When I ask for extra rice, I get charged. I would understand if I only had 1 or 2 dishes but I have ordered a lot of food and I need rice to go with it. HORRIBLE. I really hope this place gets it together, because I like the flavor, but I will NOT be back anytime soon.

No nonsense place for good Korean barbecue. This is my brother’s go-to for Korean so he brought me here while I was on vacation. Didn’t disappoint. He gets the spicy pork everyyyyy time, I tried it and it was delicious! I got bibimbap, haven’t eaten it before but it was fresh, flavored, and delightful! Other than the awkward service interruptions(ie we waited for 20 minutes after our meal for someone to help us), they were fast, got our food within 5 minutes.

This is one of my favorite Korean restaurants that’s not in Carrolton. I always succumb to their kalbi because it’s my go-to korean dish and it never disappoints me. I’ve also tried their seafood pancake appetizer and their dubokki, both also being pretty good. They have lunch specials but it’s only Mon-Fri from 11am-3pm, none on the weekends or holidays, so make a note of that if you’re thinking of eating there for lunch. The Korean lady who was attending to us was very nice and friendly, as well as our server. At the end of the meal, they give us a cup of this sweet drink? Ginger? Cinnamon? Ginseng tea? I’m not sure what it actually is, but it’s sooo good and refreshing. It’s half of the reason I like coming here, tbh haha

The service was mediocre. Our waiter seated us, took our order and vanished for the duration of our lunch. Didn’t even come check how things are. Was excited to bring my boy friend here to try Korean BBQ but was a disappointing experience. Was hoping to cook the food but seems like lunch hour is a no, no. They cook if for you in the kitchen and bring it out. The Korean BBQ portion of our meal was bland and forgetful. I had way better Korean BBQ experience back home in Boston and in California. I mean, how can it be bland? Korean food is flavorful! They also had Soju which was the blah kind. They had non-spicy Tteokbokki which I love. It was delicious and memorable. The cinnamon tea that our new waitress brought at the end of the meal was great. Our NEW server who took our check and such was kind enough to bring extra because we loved it so much. ** The ONLY highlight~!** They do play Korean music in the background and they strangely have a portrait of Dae Jang Geum behind their register, which I found weird and funny at the same time. The servers all spoke Mandarin(loudly) but the food although is Korean, it doesn’t have that flavor factor from actual«authentic» Korean restaurant I’ve experienced. Will I return to this place? No. I’ve experienced waaaaaaaaaay better Korean food and service than this place. ** Why 2 star? Bland and forgetful food and mediocre service.

In town for my niece’s high school graduation my brother took us all out for Korean food at this restaurant and I was really impressed! Great service… great food… served promptly and fresh and sooooo good! And nice ambience. It is located in an area with a lot of asian businesses and restaurants and has a certain charm and allure to it! We enjoyed our experience!

I’ve eaten here many times for two reasons: Convenience(it’s close to my house) and the quality of the food. Let me first say that the interior of this restaurant is quite tasteful and clean. The service is great – the waiters are nice, prompt, and quick to deliver your food. I don’t have a favorite dish here just because everything here is great. I have gone to very good Korean restaurants but this is one of my favorite Korean BBQ places to go.

Not a bad place to go. Although it is a pretty empty area now(Chinatown), the food is decent. This place is a Korean restaurant and they serve everything a Korean place would serve. The prices are a bit expensive but fair, and my family wanted to try some things out. We got the D3, and D4 plus a vegetable pancake. The D3&4 were both bulgogi. One was marinated, and the other wasn’t. It is because some people prefer marinated over not having it marinated. Anyway, we spent the rest of the night there– it didn’t look like very many people were there and maybe a total of 3 tables there– I hope more people go here to keep it alive! Our server was a bit shy or something but was very tentative and did what he could to get our orders and make sure we had water filled up. Will definitely come back to this place.

I come here out of convenience. This isn’t the first place I pick to go to but if I’m trying to get a quick fix of Korean food and it’s Sunday, this is the place I go to because other Korean joints aren’t open Sunday’s! The past few times I’ve come here, I’ve had the same girl waitress and she has always been pretty nice and attentive. I haven’t had issues with service like other Unilocalers probably because I always get this girl by chance. She wears glasses if that helps any of you all! This past time I just got some dumplings and tofu soup. The side dishes are standard, everything is pretty standard here. I like the cold noodles here though-haven’t had them anywhere else yet. See you on another Sunday night!

Best deal is lunch. Dinners are a little on the pricy side. But depends on how many side dishes you want too. Took one star off for that.(should not be a number of side dishes that come with your meal) Food was good and the side dishes I got were yummy. Service is fast and staff is friendly. I ordered the spicy pork and was not disappointed . Just remember dinner is a lot more. So come for lunch
