Its a nice little place, I do go here once in a while to eat. The food in the buffet is usually the same every week though, it’d be nice to eat something a little different once in a way :). I’m not complaining too much though, its not that there are all vegetarian places springing up on every corner of Seattle. Its usually a quiet place, the servers are nice and attentive and its cool that it has a market where you get pretty much anything you need(largely) for an Indian meal. I definitely recommend that you visit this place if you have not been here :)

This is the best Indian food restaurant in WA. Everywhere else I have eaten, the curries are full of unwanted color and cream. Menu ordering is better than buffet. They have another restaurant in Issaquah which is equally good.

Went to the lunch buffet. I liked that this place was all vegetarian until I tried the paneer. It was kind of soggy and had absolutely no flavor to it. If I didn’t know, I would have guessed it was tofu. They also never refilled our waters.

Vegetarian buffet. Reasonable and yummy. They also have an amazing selection of goods in a beautiful and very clean market adjacent.

This review is for the market. Yay! There’s an Indian market in the Seattle area! Coming from Berkeley where there’s an Indian store or restaurant on every block it is a bit depressing here. Until I found Pabla Indian Market(thank you David for telling me about it!). They have all the spices and candy necessary to cook up a really good Indian meal. And fresh sweets by the register. The guy working here is really friendly.

It was my first time to this restaurant. I picked up the Special Briyani and the large quart of Kheer. Both were delicious and very flavorful! I was pleasantly surprised since I’m not a vegetarian, actually quite the carnivore, but the blend of ingredients and spices of the Briyani left me completely satisfied and yearning for more. I would’ve given this a 5 star, but the staff was a bit put off. The younger lady that took my order was kind, but the rest glared/stared at me as if I was a thief. Didn’t make for the most welcoming experience. I wanted to try some of their pastries, but due to the lack luster warmth, I kept quiet and waited for my order to be fulfilled. I’m willing to try this place again to get my Indian food fix, hoping my next visit will be much more pleasant… the food was that good!

Worst place ever. I dont how they are still allowed to operate with that dirty kitchen they should be shut down and quarantined. Worst place. Bad food and rudest staff. The owner is the worst. Thier grocery is even worst. Thier nan bread had stuff growing out of it. If you value your health do not go here. Worst place ever.

Pabla has a Market and a restaurant. I will review both. I have been to Pabla to go to the market several times when I needed some Indian spices or other items for cooking. They have a good selection and one of the things I like is they have a lot of Indian pastries that taste as good as what you would get in India. The market also has a refrigerated section and they have paneer if you are interested in cooking some. I felt the paneer was reasonably priced and it is nice to have a go to place when I want to make some of my Indian curries. The restaurant is on the other side of the restaurant. I have been there for the buffet. It has a nice spread of vegetarian dishes and I felt some of them were a bit bland while others were perfect. I think they may have offered different dishes so that they could make everyone happy. I need bread to eat Indian food and had to wait a bit for them to refill the bread. I felt they should have had smaller portions of some of the items on the buffet so that they could offer some different items. I am giving the restaurant three stars and an extra star for the market. I was sitting right under a television that was very loud. I should have moved.

Liked it very much. But the dishes seemed overpriced, the atmosphere was filled with the noise from the sports on the overhead televisions. I did not like that. That is expected more at a sports bar not in dining. So much for the that. Basically, the other disappointment was the way the food was served, mainly the Pakora(cut up in children like pieces, they should have left them whole). Well, I was told about this place from a lady friend in one my knitting groups. I had driven by many times but never went in. After tiring of the Naan and Curry in downtown Renton because of steep pricing and small rice portions, I was ready to drive to Kent for a place we were familiar with. However, we tried this one. It’s grocery store(attached to the restaurant) is the entrance of the restaurant. Lovely ladies(owners) dressed nicely and the men(owners) also dressed professionally. The restaurant was colorful and clean. It would have been a nice touch to have music from India overhead instead of sports. In addition, I would have preferred other tables(near) not filled with napkin folding and silverware storage. However, the food is just right. I had an iced Chai Tea, different surprise… but still yummy. The Potato Pokaras were fine for appetizers. I believe they were home made. Anyhoo…It is only VEGETARIAN! I was pretending not to be disappointed. My boyfriend was very pleased with all the choices. I ordered the Mattar Paneer(yummy fried cheese dish in sauce) and he had the Kala Chana Masala(dark Garbanzo beans). They included a good portion of rice but we ordered a nice side of Garlic Naan too. O.k. the dishes were lovely and the rice was more than enough for two. The service was professional and just right. We will choose this place over the Naan and Curry because they are friendlier, it’s nice and the prices are much better. However, the pricing for the vegetable dishes seem a bit STEEP. Those $ 12.00 vegetable dishes should be more like $ 7.99. That is the main disappointment. And the television should be off and the nice music on.

went there for lunch with coworkers and food was WATERED-down! It must have been LEFTOVER from the night before and they just watered it down, mixed it and served it. Come on, guys… serve fresh food… do NOT serve any left over from the day before.

The first time I ate their buffet, I didn’t care for it, but at the time I was less interested in vegetarian. The next time, I ordered off the menu and had an excellent eggplant dish, which more recently, happened to be on the buffet, and I’ve grown to enjoy their food more. I also was impressed with the attention to keeping water glasses filled, something that I despise in most other restaurants.

We went to this restaurant for dinner on a friday night. Wasn’t very crowded. We ordered lentil soup and pokoras for starters. The lentil soup was more like sambar. For main course we ordered their biriyani. We specifically asked the waiter to remove the mushrooms, which he totally forgot to. The experience was quite bad and the food tasted average.

I finally decided to try the lunch buffet today on my lunch from work and im very glad i did. i was originally apprehensive because its vegetarian but my love of Indian food, and the all you can eat option brought me inside. the food was fresh and full of flavor. a fresh round of naan bread and fried goodies hit the buffet as i got there which went wonderfully with the Saag. all in all a very solid option for a sit in buffet or take out lunch option.

I had the Malai kofta and Eggplant Bhartha with Garlic Nan. The food was excellent and the service was very quick. I had Gulab Jamun for dessert which was also very good. Although the restaurant is attached to an Indian grocery store, the ambience in the store itself isn’t compromised. In fact, I did a bit of shopping while waiting for my food to come. This is a great place if you’re in Renton and fancy some good Indian food.

This is my second time visiting this place and I feel more disappointed than my first experience. The food tastes rather bland but maybe because we are ordering at the mild spicy level. Service level could definitely use some improvement. I order several items from the menu and specifically ordered 3 main entrées. When only 2 came out I asked our server why that was the case. She proceed to argue with me that I didn’t order 3 but 2 because she only wrote down 2. So she stood there with the menu and spent a good 10 minutes arguing with me about the number of dishes I ordered. Later on, I noticed our server spoke rather quietly with someone who I think is the owner of the place. I can’t help but think they were talking about our table because he kept staring straight at us. That awkward moment when you make eye contact? Yeah I had it several time with the owner. As an owner of the business if my customers wanted to order more, I think I would spend the time take down the missed order versus arguing with them. The whole ordeal made our dishes even more bland. It really soured my experience here.

I love Pabla. This undiscovered gem in a Renton strip mall is always good. I’ve been coming here with my parents for many years and we all love it. Yes, the food is 100% vegetarian, but as a carnivore I will tell you it doesn’t matter, it is delicious. The lunch buffet is a good option. The samosa and pakora are my favorites. The naan is also exceptional. My last dinner experience here on a Saturday evening was delightful. Amazing food and fast friendly service in a laidback atmosphere. There is cool art on the walls and good music playing. And there’s a food market next door you can browse on your way out. Pabla is not fancy. It is not busy. But it is always delicious.(Did I mention it’s vegetarian?) You should try it!

First time trying out Indian food and I’m glad we ended up here! Ordered 3 different kind of curry and 2 different kind or rice, they were all so tasty ! Different flavor for every dish. Pretty spicy though for those who can’t handle it, tell them no spice at all. Ask for mild but man that was like a fire ball.

Ok I love this place and I forgive them for not giving me a bag. Their lunch buffet is so good! Even non-vegetarians will like it. Fave: samosas, kheer(rice pudding), palak paneer, naan bread,

Pretty good dish I had here like night, I am too lazy to look up what I ordered but it was #39. It comes served with basmati rice that is super fluffy and the dish had a yellow curry sauce, mushrooms, their cheese and bell pepers and onions. Very tasty and it has enough to fill two. Friendly staff, I will come and try the lunch buffet soon!
