Oh man everything I set into this place reminds me of my childhood. I remember my buddies would be like little gangster wannabes coming in here acting like we owned the place. Hehe we were such knuckle heads. But I like there selections of food here. The lines can get pretty long here if you come during the busy hours. Which is usually like 430pm to 8pm. But it’s not too bad. Like I was saying earlier about us gangster wannabes this place is in the more tougher area of town. So just make sure you have your tough face when you go here hehe jk. Parking isn’t too bad. But just keep in mind during busy hours. Yeah it can get pretty bad. Also the parking area can feel pretty tight if you have a big vehicle. Hours are good here. 6am to 1 am, I think they close just to stock up. When you need to do a liquor run boom Sak ‘N’ Save to the rescue! Thanks for reading my review.

3.5 While we were waited until the restaurant near by with this grocery place open, we decided to check this place out. This place is huge! It’s more like Costco type of place but it wasn’t. You can buy partially here and no membership. The price aren’t really different with some other groceries. But they’ve plenty of selection for fruits and veggies. And they’ve more Mexican food, drinks, fruits like aloe Vera or cactus leaves, or veggies and some chilies. And their selection of meat were plenty too. I’m not sure if here you’ve to bag your own groceries or not but I didn’t see any courtesy clerk so I bagged my own groceries. Maybe next time we’ll come again and buy some produce here. Parking lot is big but I saw so many carts everywhere because some lazy people who didn’t put the cart back eventhough it’s only few steps near the cart place, unbelievable! Put the cart back people! Really!

Cheap wine… will be back for that for sure. Decent selection of grocery items as well. Don’t come for the atmosphere though you will be disappointed.

I do like their meats and produce but everything else is more expensive than a Raley’s.

What a dump. How does it stay in business? Dingy, dirty, and bad prices. The precookes rot. chicken is good though. The only reason to go there is when other stores are closed, its a 24⁄7 dump.

I was at dinner with some friends and two of them said this Sak N Save had the best produce in town. I was a regular here when it opened back in the 1980s but I have only gone a handful of times in the intervening years so I decided to check it out. I have to say, this is definitely one of the best places in town for produce. There’s a nice variety. It looks fresh. And it’s nicely laid out. I had mixed luck in the rest of the store. Some of the prices were not that good, for instance in canned goods I regularly buy. But other prices were excellent. I found my new favorite tortilla chips and they’re less than $ 2 a bag. Oddly enough, although the store is so big, there were some items I couldn’t find, like rye flour. This was the first place in the area that had shoppers bag their own groceries. On this trip, I had problems getting my grocery bag to open and the shopper behind me got a little impatient. Something to keep in mind when shopping here.

BUYERBEWARE! This store sells beef from Mexico which is very high risk at containing food born illnesses. They also have shady business practices like pricing close out items higher than the original price and some things are priced differently depending on its location in the store for ex. Cup of noodle. The management is rude and has forgotten that Customer is KING!

I’m new to town and still learning the lay of the land, but this grocery store treated me right today. Low prices, wide aisles for easy browsing, and so many brands to choose from where non-perishable goods are concerned. Normally I grocery shop at Raley’s, which is lovely but so small compared to Sak’n Save. Shopping at Sak’n Save shares many features with shopping at Wal-Mart, particularly the warehouse vibe – but has the friendly and courteous service of a place like Raley’s. SteppinRazzor M. is correct that this store is a lil’ «ghetto,» but to be honest, that’s perfectly okay by me.

This is a nice store with good prices. Produce and meats are always fresh. The staff is usaluly friendly and the store always has many people in it, but since you stuff the lines go fast. They have a great selection of all foods. Heavy on Mexican and a little Asian.

Good prices to be had in this ghetto Super Store! I may be a bit biased as this is the closest store to my home but I enjoy shopping here. I will warn you that the store does get crowded and a bit hard to navigate around the first of the month when Government checks come in but they are open 24hrs so I do my shopping during third shift.

I went in here last Thursday to buy what I need for my mojito recipes!!! My gal and I headed towards the fresh produce section where a man was working very hard to stock the produce. We had to ask him where the ginger was, and he pointed us to it right away! Go Mr. Produce man!!! Looking at the rest of the produce, the selection was wide and they all seem very fresh! The apples were shiny, the oranges smelled very citrusy, and they have items that not all of the supermarkets have in town. One being tarot root. Second, pineapples that don’t cost an arm and a leg!!! I grabbed everything, mint, blueberries, ginger… and of course the alcohol. The alcohol aisle is right up front. Right where the cashiers are. Makes sense so that no one tries to steal any. I opted for vodka and realized that it was a lot more expensive than a lot of the other places I bought alcohol from. I paid for the items and left. I really liked the set up of this store. It’s pretty busy but the lines definitely go a lot faster than wal-mart. Items are also easily found here than in Wal-Mart! Keep up the great work!
