We were invited by friends to dine last evening. On arrival, there was only one other couple in the place, it took the waiter a considerable amount of time to bring additional water glasses and table service to our table. Through out the evening the best item we received was the Blood Orange Crush drink. For starters we ordered the mediterranean mezze plate and grilled octopus. I did not eat the octopus but the individual who ordered it could not eat it. The mezze plate, while it looked nice was tasteless. I will say, the house dried figs were good. I had the roast pork sitting on a bed of some unknown bean(cannot say, as it is not on the online menu) The portion was small with no vegetable, unless you count some chopped tomatoes and dried kale.(the kale was really used as a garnish) My wife had the paella which had no taste, unless you bit into one of the hot peppers and the rice was hard and dry. $ 31 for a $ 2 piece of pork and $ 28 for 4 shrimp, a dozen mussels does not a meal make. We had to stop at McDonalds on the way home to get something to eat and get the taste out of my mouth. The total for four people was $ 196. While this included three drinks it is WAY over priced, the service is second rate, and the atmosphere lacks any feeling. NEVER again

We made reservations for New Year’s Eve, based upon several online menus. When we arrived, the only option was a three course price fixe menu — salad, three entre choices, and dessert. No price was listed on the menu or noted by the waiter, or posted anywhere in the restaurant. The food was good, but the bill for two people who had two drinks was $ 169. Outrageous, deceptive, but legal, I guess. The food wasn’t good enough to warrant this price at Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. At least they could have noted the price, so we would have had the option to walk out. Thieves. Live and learn. Won’t go there again. Too many other good choices at realistic prices.

We had a groupon, so 4 of us decided to go. The restaurant was virtually empty when we got there. But our waiter made us feel so welcome. He recommended drinks, and dinner; and made terrific small talk. The drinks he recommended, blackberry margarita, for one, were excellent. The appetizers were not. The cauliflower soup was unfortunately tasteless. One of the salads(it had roasted vegetables) two of us got not only smelled bad, but tasted so «off“that it had to be sent back. The paella was excellent and I would highly recommend it. The chicken, too, was delicious. The vegetarian entrée could be skipped. It included 3 salad(including the aforementioned one), smallish portions. And 4 side vegetables. It was pricey($ 25), not very good, and not filling. The waiter was so great, that when we told him the salad wasn’t very good, he readily removed it and brought us replacements. We would definitely go back again, tho.

We went to espuma on a Friday evening and we were the only patrons. That is just a shame because this is one of the best restaurants we’ve eaten at in Rehoboth. The manager also was our server. The food was impeccably prepared and we were amazed at the subtlety and variety of the tastes. We shared a mini antipasto as an appetizer and ordered a veal chop and salmon entrée. The chop was perfectly prepared and the salmon was exquisite. Often, it’s the little things that make a restaurant stand out. The server forgot a beet salad and when we reminded him, we told him to forget it. He brought us one anyway and compped is. Very classy! I’d recommend this restaurant without hesitation

We had the tasting menu… it was fabulous. The chef is an artist. Every course was sensational. Will definitely be back again

Food here is very good. Ate here on 8÷1÷15. Salads were excellent as well as entrees. Service was a little uneven with a somewhat inexperienced(but very friendly and helpful) waiter who still has to get his timing down. We had a very nice meal!

Four of us had dinner at the bar. Ty the bartender was so helpful we decided not to get a table. The freshly grilled peaches in the margaritas were amazing. Needed a fork to get every last bit of the peaches! Entrée favorite of the group was the pork. We have been coming here for more than 10 years and it is always a wonderful experience!

I have eaten at espuma before and enjoyed it(even though it is overpriced for what it is, it is Rehoboth after all not NYC) but this time they wanted to seat us in this room next to the bar playing loud music and the atmosphere of Grotto Pizza. No thanks for that price! Also the person we dealt with(Tom or Todd or something like that) was totally rude and dismissive and argued with us about whether the room and noise was acceptable instead of gracefully letting us cancel our reservation. Even if the food was world class(which it is not, again, it’s the shore), the atmosphere and the attitude would be unacceptable. Had a much better dinner(and service) at Summerhouse around the corner.

This place was absolutely awful. First of all, we made a reservation and were still forced to wait over 20 minutes for our table. When they finally sat us, we were put at a table fit for half the size of our party. We waited another 10 minutes before we were even able to place a drink order. They had us switch servers in the middle of our meal. They were out of 3 entrees on an already small overpriced menu. The order of soup was not even enough for a small child. The staff and manager were rude and unaccommodating when we voiced our concerns. The entire experience was absolutely awful and I will never return. Save your money and do not eat here! Go to one of the other amazing restaurants in Rehoboth

The presentation of the food was overrated, the appetizer portions they prepared were supposed to have the intention of being elegant, but it was really just insulting. I finished an entire soup in about 4 bites. We made a reservation with a group and had to wait 15 minutes to be seated, then another 10 minutes just to be served. Once the orders were placed it was as if someone in our group was invisible. The consistently forgot to serve one person and became defensive when we confronted them about issues we were having. For the entrée, it’s debatable to consider the paella decent for the price they charged.

Dined at Espuma on Thursday and had a fantastic experience! Mary and I went with the six course tasting menu, prepared and served table side by Sous Chef Craig. He did a great job blending ingredients, textures, and tastes to create a memorable meal. No miss– steps and terrific pacing, with one great course after another that captured the best the area has to offer. Mary’s wine pairings, selected by Jason, our waiter, were perfect. And, the dessert course was one of the best we have had anywhere, at any time. There are many fine dining options in Rehoboth, some over rated. Don’t miss out on Espuma.

THISREVIEWISFORDRINKSONLY I haven’t been back to Espuma in a few years — we’ve been trying some of the new establishments in Rehoboth to great success. This weekend we decided to go back«old school» and were thrilled we did. Ty was our bartender and he really knew his stuff. He let us know the fresh fruits available for the weekend and was willing to use them in a whole slew of drink options. I had the blueberry mojito and it reminded me why I will always come back to this bar.

Reservation was honored within reasonable time and our party of four were seated. Place was crowded and a bit understaffed but all went smoothly. Cocktails were well made. The food was a tad bit salty but not cloyingly at all. The tasty asparagus soup was not made with cream which our party liked and the the main courses were well prepared but could have been a bit better. My black cod entrée was a minute overdone, the pork was just a little salty and we had requested the paella without mussels(allergy) and it came with mussels anyway. But overall all, the service and the food were good and the place is a fun and exciting place to eat. Would go back.

This place is a joke right? The staff was anything but inviting, the place reeked of musty, mold and stale kitchen. When it came to the food it was uninspired and totally lackluster. It looked like a three year old plated our food. You can tell the owner has lost interest and just doesn’t care. The paella was laughable, the ravioli tasted like they were freezer burnt and the cocktails were relevant in 2005. I am sure Many, many years ago this was an amazing restaurant… today, not at all.

Fantastic meal. Very good entrée and cocktail. Had codfish w purée plus watermelon cherry tomatoes appetizer. Drink was rum and banana concoction. Service w as very attentive and friendly. Atmosphere was nice but not stuffy. Bar had football game on. Turnoff: a fly buzzing around during dinner. Acceptable outside on a patio but not in a nice dining room.

The restaurant is quite nice, the kind of place you’d like to come for a special occasion. We had the paella that everyone was praising and while quite good it was spicy. Yes, it has tons of pickled jalapeños! Who thought that one out? It kind of messed it up for me. It was plenty to share, so that was a plus, if you are into spicy paella. We were really looking forward to the truffle ravioli and we’re unimpressed. They were good, but not great. The greens are to strong in flavor and overpowered the dish. My husband got the spicy pork and was equally unimpressed. The mezze appetizer was not worth it at all. On the bright side… The corn soup was great! And I was told that the spicy Margarita was really wonderful. Overall, four adults in our party were all equally unimpressed. There are so many great restaurants in Rehoboth… Not worth paying this much for mediocre food.

Really, waste of my time for a restaurant. The for was mediocre, 6 out of 10 in my opinion. Also, the prices are not comparable to the quality and portion size. The flavors are also very boring or unbalanced. I’d say skip and go to another place.

First trip to Espuma. It’s not on the main restaurant strip in Rehoboth, but… OMFG!!! The black truffle and wild mushroom ravioli was exquisite — VERY reminiscent of true Italian pasta and French cuisine… I swear that this could be served in an European restaurant! The deserts are amazing, and all made in-house, but I’m not even done — the cucumbertini martini is to DIE for…

I made a reservation online weeks in advance because i knew they would be busy Labor Day weekend. They were very persistent on us to show up on time for our reservation. They called two days before to confirm, then again several times the day of. That kind of ruined my visit. But the décor is lovely! You should go.

A quick look at the kitchen and I knew there was some JW or CIA training. Nice décor and service that was best of class thanks FloRina and the handsome Bohemia helper. The tomato dish was a masterpiece and the«cucumber caviar» was El Bulli worthy, molecular gastronomy. The sesame crusted ½ lobster was also very nice. The touted paella fell short. Perfect seafood, bland under seasoned rice, no crust, no saffron, no interest. We loved the mushroom ravioli but it was priced like gold. We so wanted dessert but with only 10 minutes on the meter we had to run. Love to come back, some real talent in the kitchen!
