Best breakfast in town! So many options for substantial omelettes and more! The Tropicana waffle is amazing.

I cant tell you how the food was because we were never actually sat a table. This was last summer. A server greets us upon entry with«Its gonna be a while». We watch 2 other couples get seated ahead of us while we continued to be ignored. We went to that place across the street instead.

I was looking for a place that served breakfast past 11am so I could order an omelet for lunch. They made me a bacon, feta, spinach omelette and offered a healthier«sliced tomatoes» alternative to home fries. The food was delicious and the owner came out to say hello– a nice touch!

Hubby and I stopped in Goolees Grill for breakfast yesterday morning before heading to the beach and was pleasantly surprised to be seated immediately. I had a bad feeling pretty much right away when I realized that the tables in the corner are arranged so that in order for the patrons at the corner table to get in and out whoever is sitting on that side of our table would have to get up and it wasn’t long before the non-stop disruptions started. The table in the corner had 4 adults, a baby and a small child who clearly had wayyyyy too much sugar that morning because she couldn’t sit still, jumping back and forth under the table between her dad and mom and not long after her meltdown started and escalated into a full blown tantrum. Eventually her dad,(who of course needed my husband to keep getting up and down so he could get out of his side of the table) took her outside when her screaming got to him but they eventually came back in after rewarding her bad behavior with Oreos and we hoped at that point we could enjoy our breakfast. I ordered the Papa’s Special which is eggs, 2 pancakes, 2 breakfast meats and home fries but when it arrived instead of the sausage I had ordered I got bacon and there were no home fries, the meal was good but nothing special, although I always appreciate a restaurant that uses fresh eggs and not powdered so that was a plus. I didn’t mention the issues to the waitress because by that point the little girl was winding back up for round 2 and I just wanted to eat and get out of there. The coffee was just okay and hubby enjoyed his Western Omelette although said there was nothing remarkable about it. The Chef, who I assume is also the owner, did stop by the tables to see if every one’s meal was okay which is a nice touch but by that point I was done and really read to get out of there so I didn’t mention the mistake with my meal. I’ve worked in the hospitality business so I understand that you have to rotate seating with the different servers but in such a small, and I mean small, dining area there is no reason to pile customers up in one area, when there is such a seating issue that ultimately causes disturbances to the diner, especially when there are so many other empty tables available.

Every time I come to Rehoboth I visit here for breakfast and I am pleased with the yummy food and quick service. I usually order more than I can eat but I try to finish. I would definitely recommend stopping by! …mmm pancakes!

Food was ok, others raved about crispy home fries but ours were soggy and may have been a day old. I got the Poor Boy sandwich, it was good(minus soggy home fries). Husband’s 2 eggs and toast were plain but good.

Absolutely love this place. Good, fresh food. The owner is really nice, and everyone tries to ensure you have a great dining experience. Everything is cooked to order — pancakes are fluffy and yummy, potatoes are tasty. Breakfast is the best. Sometimes, they get busy, but everyone works hard, and service doesn’t suffer. Try this place.

Stopped into Goolee’s during off-season and had a tasty breakfast, served quickly. Thoroughly enjoyed the tropical Texas French toast(with coconut) — grilled but not over-cooked, so the bread was soft and slightly gooey inside(not dry and tasteless like other French toast I’ve had elsewhere). I didn’t even need syrup on the French toast. Portion sizes were generous(3 slices of bread with the French toast). Simple furnishings reminded me of a good quality small town diner — clean and basic, nothing fancy but still somewhat homely. Goolee’s had us in and out and on our way quickly and satisfied.

A wonderful new addition to the Rehoboth breakfast scene. I had the Papa Supreme and my husband had the Papa Special. Both are very good values for the money and they even had scrapple(for my husband)! The home fries are very tasty potatoes nicely crisped, not the steamed tasteless mess you find at so many other places. The waitress was very attentive and pleasant and so was the owner who walked around and fretted his guests. We will definitely be back!

Do not pay attention to the bad reviews. Came in here on a Sunday morning and the place was jumping. Seated immediately and coffee and food was on the table in less than 15 minutes. I got the sausage gravy and biscuits with home fries and hubby got the corned beef hash with eggs and home fries. Absolutely delish ! Home fries were crispy and the sausage gravy was perfectly seasoned and the important factor was that the sausage was crumbled. Hubby said the corned beef hash was the best he had ever had. This coming from a self professed corned beef hash snob was huge. We will be back next time we come to Rehoboth Beach.

We had an excellent breakfast at Goolee’s. It was enjoyed by all. It’s very rare for my 4 year old girls to clean a plate but they both did this morning. Service was quick and friendly. We’re definitely going back tomorrow.

Awful, awful service and if you go here, plan on a very, very long wait for the food. The last Greek family that owned this place knew how to do it and they did it right. Sucks to say it… but skip this place any time you can.

Slow service and small portions drop Goolees to the bottom of my Rehoboth brunch rankings. Server was nice enough but never asked how are food was. I ordered the healthy egg white omelette was so disappointingly tiny. Taste was fine but come on! Healthy doesn’t mean small — it means low fat and high protein.

Expensive for a mid quality breakfast. Prices almost doubled from previous establishment(Corner Grille). It was a family favorite. We will not be returning.

Great french toast and a good omelet. The toast was a nice color, crisp and hot. I did not like the mushy home fries. So far have only tried breakfasts. Service was friendly and prompt. My wife asked that her french toast not get their regular cinnamon sprinkle. She is allergic to it. The cook came out and asked her how she liked the french toast and told her to never fear to make special requests like that and that anything freshly made can be adjusted.

Goolee’s opened a location in Rehoboth Beach. Just had the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant in Rehoboth. 40 minutes after being seated for breakfast our food was not even on the grill yet. Goolee’s replaced the Corner Grille, which was fantastic, not sure this place will last.

Visited for breakfast Friday 8÷15÷14. Did not go back for our second day here in OC. Breakfast was only fair for spending $ 21 for two people. French toast ok, we had to ask for our menus ask for water and coffee, the poster who said it varies with being overly friendly and in attentive was so accurate. We got lucky on our visit we ordered and got our food in about 25 mins, a nearby table of four ordered before us and watched others get their food including us before them. They asked twice the status and finally on the second ask said the were leaving when the older waitress replied their food was up… They said to bad they waited long enough, waitress replied ’ no need to be rude about it’ not a good comeback with a room full of customers. Another couple behind us tried to pay their check for at least 10 mins, young waitress totally obvious and yet we were served. Seems hit or miss. One suggestion to restaurant, train those kids you hire to serve, so not fair to throw them into a job without an understanding of restaurant service, eg we had our food plates before our silverware. Tip: if you want a bagel sandwich or a donut and coffee try across the street instead at what i think is a new place called Donut Connection, fresh bagels were good for house baked and staff was friendly. Two bagel sandwiches, coffee, soda and a donut was under $ 14 dollars far more reasonable and satisfying then our breakfast the day before at the subject restaurant. I will try to get a review in for Donut Connection to get them on the map.
