I just picked up the kids from school and they could not wait to get home to eat. I saw this place and stopped in. Very nice warm atmosphere. The place itself is kind of small but it adds to its coziness. Food is good and price is reasonable. Friendly staff too.

My favorite dish from this place Is the beef or chicken fried rice(arroz Chaufa) I ordered a tray for the Christmas party at work and everybody loved it. I ordered it a day before and they were very accommodating. I usually order take out and they never disappoint and are prompt with deliveries. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family.

I ordered a few meals to pick up. When I got to the restaurant I decided to eat in. This server was sleeping in the back booth and when I woke him and asked him if I can have the food in he told me it was alright in a bag and could not be put in a plate. The restaurant was empty there were no other guests. When we insist in our food was brought to us in a bag at the table with no plates. We were not asked if we need anything or would like anything to drink and when we asked if we can have some water we were told the faucet was broken. It is October 10th2015 at 1:30 in the afternoon I would love to know how much longer this establishment will be in business

We had take-out from Pollos Cuzco Restaurant. Like most people, we paid for the food and took the bag without looking, trusting that Pollos Cuzco got our order correct. However, when we got back to the hospital and looked in the bag, we realized that they screwed up our order. We called the restaurant but they refused to give us the food we paid for. They told us that since we didn’t check the bag we forfeited the money we paid. Needless to say, we are very angry at Pollos Cuzco Restaurant, so I began to look closer at the restaurant and found, to my horror, that this restaurant is food poisoning waiting to happen. It has been infested with both mice and cockroaches According to the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Pollos Cuzco Restaurant has been cited for the following health violations: March 19, 2015 * Tobacco use or eating /drinking in food preparation or food storage area. * Food contact surface not properly washed, rinsed and sanitized. October 8, 2014 * Evidence of mice or live mice present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas. * Filth flies or food/refuse/sewage-associated flies(flesh flies, blow flies, house flies, etc) present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas. September 16, 2014 * Evidence of mice or live mice present in facility’s food /non-food areas. March 6, 2014 * Evidence of mice or live mice present in facility’s food /non-food areas. July 29, 2013 * Live roaches present in facility’s food /non-food areas. Additionally, after spending over a month in Peru, I have to say that this food is not authentic Peruvian food. Although we were disappointed in the food quality, and after reading about the mice and cockroaches that have been observed here, I’m now worried that I may have eaten mouse droppings or dead cockroaches.

I LOVE this restaurant! The chicken is always outstanding. Have tried a few of the different appetizers and while yes, calimari is not a traditional Peruvian food, it is awesome none the less!

I ate here a few days ago and the food and portion sizes were excellent. I had the shrimp fried rice, sweet plantains with the mango smoothie which was made with real mangoes. I took my leftovers and ate two times from it then it was done, since it was so much. I didn’t give them 5 stars because two days after I phone ordered and I wanted chicken fried rice and I got beef fried rice. However I ordered a lunch special and I also got a free soda and chicken breast soup which was really excellent all for $ 12 and that included an extra side of plantains I ordered. Great place overall!

Mouth watering, perfected rotisserie chicken Peruvian style. The rice although simple is also seasoned perfectly. Their green salsa(sauce) is my ultimate favorite. I use ample amount on everything I eat, from the chicken, to the beans, and rice

I’ve ordered from Cuzco Peru a few times in the past, and not once have they ever delivered the food in a reasonable time(mind you I live 3 blocks from the restaurant, and they always take close to an hour or more). I’ve always been patient with them, but today I’ve absolutely had it. I called after an 1hr and 5 mins to see where my food was. The guy took my number and fumbled to tell me that it’s busy but the delivery is on it’s way. I knew this was BS but I said ok, since I live 3 blocks away I should get the order within the next 10 mins. After 25 mins, I called and was furious. Rather than apologize or offer anything to retain my business, the a$$hole asked if I wanted to wait or cancel my order. The friggin nerve of the prick. NEVERAGAINWILL I ORDERFROMCUZCOPERU, THERESERVICESUCKS!!!

Unfortunately we weren’t happy with our order. Days ago we order ceviche but the crab wasn’t in good condition, it wasn’t fresh. We desired not to go back to this place

Food is really good, but they need to work on their service. I called to place an order and was put on hold for over five minutes. I’ve ordered for delivery a few times and they always end up forgetting something from my order. Please work on your service only then I will recommend your place to others.

We do home delivery… on the days the chicken is good, it is amazing… a few times dry. They deliver really fast and they are very nice on the phone. The plantains are also hit or miss. The avocado salad is really good. They are very reasonably priced.

Just like the other bad reviews, their chicken(skin) was burnt so the meat was dry(because it’s been over roasted). The fries were stale. We ordered the combo and it was delivered. Also took over 90 mins, we live 4 blocks away. Granted that it was winter and snowy, but not 90 mins plus. I could’ve picked it up myself if I knew they were going to take that long. Never ordered again. On a side note, every time I walk by them at different times of the day, they never have any business. One table at most. Pollos a la brasa Don Alex on 64th Ave in Rego Park is much better.

This is the worst Peruvian food I have ever had. Nothing we ordered tasted good. Do yourself a favor and order Chinese or pizza instead. Delivery took over an hour, which I get bc it was a cold Friday night. Our chicken was burnt and dry(not the first time), lomo saltado was by far the worst I have ever tasted in my life, the papas were undercooked, and the seafood arroz chaufa did not taste very fresh and left a fishy aftertaste. The highlight may have been the green sauce. It was spicy but did not have much flavor. After a $ 75 delivery no one was too happy. This place really gives Peruvian food a bad name. Never ordering from here again

I been there once and was enough the food not good and pio pio has the best chicken and to be honest a real peruvian knows the real taste, other people would say is good because it is a new taste for them but they need to go to other places!

Recommended by a friend who lives a few blocks from this restaurant I decided to try it out. I must say, it was a good recommendation. The food was delicious and they serve a very good portion. Everything was good here. The chicken, the steak, rice, yuca. everything. Their green sauce went well with pretty much everything. If you’re looking for a decent local Peruvian place, this is a great choice.

Really like this small cute place. I’m on a health challenge right now and what I love at this spot is that you can just order ¼ chicken and a salad and not a plate which includes carbs. Some other spots you can order separately too but they charge more. Nice and plus green sauce is great.

I’ve ordered a few times from Cuzco, but have only had it delivered. The chicken is good. Ceviche is on the bland side compared to other Peruvian joints and was not packed correctly since it came once with the juices all over the bag instead of in the container. Tostones are average and the beans are good. NOW. The chaufa… ahhh the chaufa. I am a huge chaufa pollo gal. If I am going to indulge on rice and make a meal out of it then it better be damn good. I can’t understand how it comes out different every time we order?!? Sometimes, its excessively oily. Sometimes, there is literally 3 pieces of egg. Another time, it was dry and went super cheap on the soy sauce. Yeesh. For the amount they charge and put into that metal container, I would’ve expected consistency and a little better quality. On a side note, they are crazy cheap with the green sauce. 2 little containers that are halfway filled come with a whole chicken. It’s as if there was a green sauce shortage and they’re holding it for the highest bidders. I was hoping they could go into the speed dial, but there are a few other Peruvian rests in the area that are doing it up. Step up Cuzco!

Peruvians coming through the door, you know what that means? If your food doesn’t taste as good as my home cooked meals you will never see 4 stars! I’ve had several dishes here. I’ve have the anticuchos, a Peruvian favorite, pretty good. I’ve had the tallerin verdes, not so good, watery in my opinion(this came with steak that was pretty good though). I’ve had the chicken(Peruvian chicken never fails). Mmmm, I’ve had a lot… I guess I’ll just summarize it to say food was average to good. The green sauce is pretty awesome though. And their chicha morada is probably the BEST chicha morada I’ve had from any Peruvian restaurant thus far. Staff has always been attentive and made it their job to maintain the restaurant clean which is always important. I remember once coming here pretty late, close to closing time and they still let my party in without rushing us out the door. I’d stop by if I was hungry and passing by. Not top notch but not disappointing either.

Pio Pio better watch out. There’s a new kid on the block and it’s not as obnoxiously loud. Love the décor and the overall ambiance. It feels intimate and authentic. Excellent chicken, maduros and tostones have been perfect every time I’ve stopped by, excellent chicken soup, and the Jalea is good. Their green sauce is on par with the better-known Peruvian restaurant. Service is still lacking in the speed department, but they’re very courteous.

Every time I call for a delivery, the person taking orders makes me repeat everything at least 3x. I get put on hold several times and I hate repeating myself! Twice our delivery was late and after an hour, I wondered if they even took my order. There’s plenty new Peruvian rotisserie places that opened up. So unless you’re going to eat in or pick it up, don’t bother calling in an order.
