My husband and I decided to check out this new place since we haven’t had shawarma in a while. The place was very clean and inviting. It’s good for all sorts of group… not for a fancy date tho. We ordered the chicken shawarma, which turned out really good. The chicken was cooked just right. We wish there was some more of the garlic sauce or some tzatziki sauce with a little bit of rice. The food taste is a 3, but its portion is definitely why I am giving this a 4. The serving is just enough for one person; you won’t feel bad about overeating. There’s not very many shawarma places here in Redwood, we’re just glad this place opened up since it’s very close to where we live… and we get shawarma cravings once in a while. We’ll definitely go back again.

As an Arab myself, I am picky when it comes to Middle Eastern restaurant. I must say I really loved the place. It opened up yesterday. It is very authentic. The menu is simple and the food is really good. They have a shawarma machine and can make the sandwich on different breads that they bake themselves. I ordered the chicken shawarma and the beef and lamb shawarma. Excellent. I also order a babaghanush and even though my daughter and husband never eat eggplant, they actually ate that. The place is clean and the owner and employees are also very nice. They were giving out free falafel to everyone who was coming in. Food is halal too. This was a needed place in downtown Redwood City.
