This review is from June 2014, but I walked past this place a few days ago(July 2015) and it appears to be closed. So sad This is a group review. It’s not super detailed but rather just a few key notes that most of us agreed on. –Large location compared to other taquerias in this area –Friendly Staff –Fish tacos were amazing, the majority of our group of 12 order these –It took a long time to get the food but this could be because we were a big group –Restroom was very clean

Oh man, I think I found another taco heaven. My favorite taco place is in Sunnyvale and has been for the past twenty years, but Best Taqueria would certainly give them a run for their money. I can’t decide which place is better. Unfortunately for Best Taqueria, my taqueria, in Sunnyvale, is much closer to my home. But I promise to make an effort, now and then, to run up to Redwood City and do my part to keep Best Taqueria in business.

Hand made tacos! And they are filling! The meat is really tasty. I liked the homemade taste and warmth feeling in this place. I want to go back and try their other items on the menu.

I had some time while my car was being worked on. After talking with a few people in the neighborhood, while walking around, I asked which was the best taqueria around. I was referred to The Best Taqueria for tacos. What sold me is that they make their own corn tortillas. Since then, I have been back one more time. My first visit: Two Carne Asada Tacos My second visit: Carne Asada super burrito The portions are appropriate and the the food was very tasty. I really enjoyed the carne asada. I usually do not visit a place more then two times if the food is mediocre. I will definitely be back!

Just when I thought that there couldnt possibly more really good taquerias here, this one pops up. They were out of Chivo so we got lengua and pescado. Both really good. The chips and salsa are nicely salted and fresh in the beginning too. We had already eaten and got more here so the next time we come back it’s for a full meal…

So glad I found this gem on Middlefield. AMAZINGTACOS! I love that the tortillas are made by hand and super fresh. After we ordered, they brought us some chips with four different kinds of salsa. All three were good but the salsa verde was definitely my favorite. Be sure to put these on top of whatever you order to enhance the flavor. We shared a fresh squeezed OJ and some water. I ordered 4 tacos to try: fish, chicken, pork, and asada. The fish taco was definitely the star of the show. Light, crispy fried fish served with pickled veggies. Add some of the salsa verde on top with a drizzle of lime. My bf ordered the steak torta which was just OK. We definitely want to come back here to try their burritos!

I’ve eaten a lot of the taquerias on middlefield, this is an excellent entry. First, it’s clean and bright with table service or take away. Second, the pollo asada has distinct al carbon. Nice. Third, the salsas on the table are good. Fourth, they specialize in some kind of fresh shrimp cocktail that looks tasty. Fifth, they make their taco tortillas by hand.

This is a must try. They make their own tortillas by hand, the meats are made the WAY they were meant to be made. This is one of those places that makes us go out of our way; just to eat some soul food!
