I like this spot, the drinks are nice and strong and the staff is friendly. The crowd varies but on the nights I’ve been there it was Latin night. They have a bar, some tables, and a dance floor. I know that on weekends they run this place like a mini night club. If this place is not your cup of tea, it’s close enough to other spots you can walk to. Solid three star joint!

This is our favorite place to unwind after a long week. The service is excellent and their food is to die for! I definitely recommend the fried mozzarella, bruschetta, and their meatballs! Absolutely impeccable. Their drinks are delicious as well and they have hundreds of options. Quite the impressive tequila collection. Easy to get an über right to and from.

I’m new to the area and when I got off work I wanted a spur of the moment little night out with my boyfriend so we have this place a try! We sat at the bar it’s a busy place but the bartender was very helpful. My boyfriend enjoyed his usual Stella on tap and I had a drink called«Mexican Blues» and a second«ecstasy» the were Delicious! We also shared an order of wings and they may have been some of the best wings I have ever consumed! I will definitely be back. And maybe next time I’ll do some dancing!

Very friendly staff. Came here with my family for Paint nite and they were all accommodating for the event. I sat at the bar for awhile waiting for them, and I ordered an iced tea and the chips and guacamole. Both were delicious. The bar is well stocked and it’s an overall nice atmosphere for hanging out after work.

Had a different destination in mind but unfortunately due to unforeseen traffic occurrences, we found ourselves in downtown Redwood City. Then we remembered that a friend of mine DJs at this bar and we decided to check it out and see if he was playing that night. There was no cover and we went ahead and found spots at the bar. We had a few drinks and even ordered appetizers, not bad at all. The bartender was very friendly and was open minded to mix our own drinks. We got lucky and my friend was indeed playing that night. During the break we shared a few drinks with him and what we thought was going to turn out into a «so-so» night, ended up being a great night. So it is true… sometimes the best times are those that get no planning.

Saturday, 10⁄24. Saw a female get punched and didn’t see security. The only 2 African Americans got harassed by a group, took security a while to show up. To be honest, the DJ couldn’t keep anyone on the floor the entire night so my group left before 12. $ 13 for Jameson on the rocks. Bartender next to the dance floor made me sit for exactly 13 minutes before serving me. He blew me off for exactly 6 other people that showed up after me and was completely rude and short with me. Bartender at the full bar was actually helpful and gave good service. I wouldn’t recommend coming here. The DJ was drinking and not good at all, one of the bartenders sucked and there was no dress code. Drinks that were very simple were the most expensive and the bartenders have bad service. Really good tequila selection though.

Went here last night for a private party. It was extremely loud and the sound system was low-quality. I was charged $ 11 for a simple vodka cran(umm this is a drink that should be only $ 5). Never going back and do not recommend anyone come here unless they want to be ripped off by sub-par bartenders.

been a good string of places recently, this place is definitely on the top of the list. The guy in charge here told me he’d make the food any way I like, he was real cool definitely wanted to make me a satisfied customer. Great tequila too ha. I am so glad this place is now Italian. Its very authentic. the ravioli is sooo dreamy.

5 points are for the Paint Nite event I attended today with my sister. It was super fun and creative. Brida is an awesome co-ordinator and painter. She teaches how painting is fun even for amateurs. We enjoyed our time eating, painting, drinking and spending quality time together. Kudos to paint nite. . The pub had good range of drinks but the snacks aren’t that great– I’ve had better garlic fries and garlic bread at several places.

5 stars tonight! Leo, our waiter, was cheerful from start to end. He provided information about the menu and the types of tequilas, and was courteous and professional. The meal was delicious — soup and fresh bread was tasty & filling; the tequila prawns were fresh, cooked perfectly & dipping sauce was full of flavor! We will come again for sure! Thank you, Leo!

Unfortunately they cancelled happy hour the Wednesday I happened to go for PaintNite, but the drinks were pretty good. It’s a tequila lounge, so there’s LOTS of tequila. My friend and I started off with Passion Fruit Kamikaze shots :) Delicious! Then we split a pitcher of the Strawberry Mojito. It was not well mixed and he put A LOT of ice, but overall I’d say it was good and I’d probably get it again. My friend and I had a nice buzz, so decent amount of alcohol content. Maybe call in advance to check for happy hour? There is street parking as well as lot parking, partly metered. the parking lots are free after 6pm, otherwise $ 1.00 per hour. I’d come here again if I was in Redwood City chilling.

This review is about the Paint Night my co-workers and I did on a Wednesday night… last night that is. I did not try the drinks nor food, so, cannot comment on that since I don’t consume alcohol and I was not hungry that night. The Paint Night was one of the best nights I’ve had with a large group. The peacock lesson we had from Rupy was super fun, entertaining, and very insightful. I haven’t painted since I was in sixth grade or earlier, so, this was a refresher and excellent night to let everything go and just paint what we want. A canvas, paint, and cloth were provided with the cost of doing the event(discount if you go as a large group!). You keep the painting of course. We painted, we laughed, we listened to 80s, 90s, 2000s, music and everyone was entertained. If you want to find something creative for your small/large company, special lady/guy friend, or bro/bra friends, this is a must! Again, I don’t know how the food or drinks were, but the service was great when my friends ordered their stuff. Overall: Very fun event for Paint Night!!! Do it!!!

As a tequila fan, I love this place. I’d totally make this my to-go spots if it weren’t far from me. I was given the opportunity of trying this place because they hosted a Paint Night event(definitely a great social activity). Anyhow, their selection of liquor, aka, tequila is vast. Good note, they’re not just limited to that, they have selections, too! As I was waiting for the event to start, my service was spot on. The bartender and waiter were really nice and welcoming. So, the lounge sections half of it for the painting event. And while you paint, you can actually drink and eat off their menu! This is really great because it gives you the chance to try the place out. D Tequila Lounge offers a nice selection of food. My friends and I ordered a Bruschetta, Calamari & Shrimp and Penne Delizia(some sort of wine flavored penne with chicken pieces). They were alright, nothing really spectacular and they weren’t cheap either! The most disappointing was the Penne Delizia as it looked simple and tasted bland. Although the drinks were spot on and service was fantastic, I could not get over how much the food failed to deliver(totally not worth for the price and portion). 2 stars boosted up to 3.

Disclaimer: I came here for a Paint Nite, so I’m just reviewing the food/drink I had today, not the bar + lounge experience. I ordered the Penne Delizia which was $ 16+, and unfortunately not worth the money. It was a simple plate of penne pasta, some small(slightly dry, slightly bland) chicken bits, and a few pieces of sundried tomato, broccoli, and garlic — honestly, something I felt like I could have cooked up in my own kitchen. The portion size was smaller than expected as well. We also ordered a pitcher of margaritas which were a bit too strong for my taste, and definitely overpriced. Overall a pretty unimpressive experience of subpar and overcharged food.

I used to love this place and would come every other weekend. The owners are super nice, however I am a bit disappointed now that its no longer a Mexican restaurant. I personally crave a margarita(or some type of tequila drink) with some delicious ceviche, not Italian food. What a disappointment. It just doesn’t mesh well. I don’t know if they lost a lot of clientele because of the change to an Italian restaurant but when my friend and I went a couple of weeks ago on a Saturday night, the place was completely dead at about 8⁄9 o’clock. It was pretty sad. One of my favorite hang out lounges is no longer the place to be. Since they want to serve Italian food, maybe they should just remodel the whole bar and change everything about it. Tequila and Italian food = no bueno! ha! …this is all in my humble opinion.

Went here for paint night but ended up loving the bar! My family and I all ordered non-tequila drinks so I was worried on how they were going to be. My mojito was amazing though! the sweet and outgoing bartender made us feel right at home(we all don’t drink much!) we didn’t get the food but all the plate we did see looked amazing as well as smelt delish. I will be back to try it all!

OK — first off, this is no longer a Mexican restaurant, it’s now Italian. Be prepared! We went here with a Groupon, and loved it. Got the Tilapia and asked for lite sauce — it was perfect. Servings were generous, service was good(but the place was kind of empty). The best part? Pomegranate margaritas. They were SO good.

Not a fan of Deseo Tequila Lounge(or D Lounge as it is now called). We had a $ 60 LivingSocial voucher, so decided to dine here on a Friday night. The place was empty… so empty you could probably hear crickets chirping if there were any. I was not impressed. I swear it smelled like a bathroom upon walking in(nasty!). Anyways, we ordered drinks while waiting for our friends… my glass of wine was fine, but the clsssic margarita tasted like a bowl full of sugar(I thought this was supposed to be a place specializing in tequila!?). Our server asked if we wanted some garlic bread, and we obliged, thinking it was complimentary. Oh no… a clever upsell we realized when five mini crostinis showed up topped with overcooked cheese. Not worth the $ 6.95. We also ordered the fried zucchini starter, which essentially was lightly battered zucchini sticks… oily and flavorless. Also not worth ordering. For our main entrées, we opted for the Penne Delizia and Panzotti. The penne dish was light and drizzled with a white wine sauce. The flavor? Once again, very mild and mostly absent. The other chicken dish was quite the opposite… ground chicken and spinach ravioli covered with a tomato cheese sauce. The flavor? Decent. After a very below average meal in a very below average ambiance(a lofty space with sparce décor and furniture), we clearly decided to skip dessert. P. S. After using thr restroom later, I smelled the same smell upon walking into the dining room, thus verifying my initial reaction. Something needs to be done about the ventilation and/or plumbing in this place!

I love the food, love the fact they have a late night menu too, the Palermo menu is absolutely delicious, the soups are yummy too. I love the drinks, Pepe is a great bartender, love that they have tons of screens everywhere and have MMA. They have top notch security during the club hours and the owners are very personable. They make sure to ask if you need a cab home. Also, they are directly across the street from the Pacific Euro hotel who’s revamped themselves so if you can’t drive, you can check in there. Please be forewarned that if you plan on enjoying the fabulous Thursday night mariachi, you will have a great time but there will be plenty of Redwood City PD outside watching you head to your car. I love it here. It’s my favorite place to eat and relax, I only wish they had more couches to lounge upstairs like the Living Room on Broadway(hint hint to owners)

Wow we just tried some food from their revamped menu! Tequila prawns are to die for. Delicious! The crab ravoli is also fantastic. What stands out are the delicious sauces. Way better than expected. Always a good vibe if you want to drink and dance as well. I will be coming back here for food from now on!

Thursday nights is happening here. They have a live Mariachi band and plays from 10PM to midnight! After that — it’s Latin music all the way till closing. So get your«cha-cha-cha» and«salsa’ groove going and party on! The bartenders here were so awesome and easy — just hand them your card, leave a tab — and off we went to have fun all night. There is a dance floor on the other side and it’s narrow and long. Towards the wall — a long stretch of tables and comfy benches accommodates large groups. If you want to get personal, and want a one on one, may I suggest the other side of the bar where they provide you with high stools and high tables for a private conversations. Though it would be hard since the music is blasting, but I have learned at most clubs — body language can do wonders! The patrons here were super nice and respectful, mostly Hispanic, but I managed to converse with them with my «Spanglish» — something I picked up being a «Pinoy» along the way. I even met several people and we all got together for toast after toast, after toast! Drinks here were good and cost was reasonable at least for us. They have two bars you can place your order: 1 — at the very entrance; 2 — towards the end at the dance floor. We ordered several pitchers of beers and shots of Hornitos and I think pricing was good. D Tequila Lounge is a cool place to hangout with your buddies, catch up, get wasted and enjoy live bands on Thursdays(best night to come here)!!! Live it up.

Shady, sly sneaky scammers! We won a gift card for Deseo(likely purchased online for ½ price). But it’s never open. We went when Unilocal said it was open, but it was not. We went when their old web site(not the stupid Japanese blog site there now) said it was open, and it was not open. We knocked on the window when the sign in the window said it was open, and nobody there. I hate places that scam people like this. Make people pay in advance for services that they try not to provide.
