Absolutely the best eyecare experience I’ve ever had. Been wearing glasses all my life due to a vision defect since birth. My prescription in unique, and usually beyond the scope of most opticians and eyewear lens manufacturers. The staff at Sears optical took the time and went to the mat to get me the best eyeware for my prescription. It’s not often I encounter such helpful and professional people as these, and I enthusiastically give them my highest recommendation.

Very unreliable district manager and a arrogant, lying manager named Josh! Horrible company as a whole!!!

Not letting me return my sunglasses purchased from another Sears optical store and claiming no manager is available to provide override. But later found out sears customers are allowed to return items at any Sears store at any time!

Ripoff! They were running a «deal» and told me I should pay in the store except the insurance companies pay them directly so now I’m fighting to get a refund on a claim that was sent to Sears. Dr. Mina(after charging $ 160 to my insurance and $ 20 co-pay) for a eye exam that lasted about 30 mins told me that I needed a follow-up 3 months later to ensure that everything was ok. After the follow-up, the girl at the front desk behaved like there was no charge and now I see that Dr. Mina submitted a $ 318(over $ 200 is now my responsibility) charge to my insurance company for a less than 30 min follow-up. $ 500 for an eye exam??? I will be fighting this every step of the way, this is a scam!

Pros: Nice staff, cheap glasses(two for $ 99), & good dr. Cons: Understaffed @ times, lack of follow up, upsales/hidden charges out the wazzoo! I’m happy with the glasses that I now have after waiting forEVER to get them. The staff did not keep in touch to let me know where the glasses were & why they had no idea the whereabouts of them. The lady who fitted me into my new glasses at the end(Michelle) was awesome. She was alone & made sure that even though she was busy, she got me out of there in a timely matter. Will not be back.

Glasses — -so many choices! Where does anyone start? I was drawn to look with my daughter at sears as they were having a great sale on glasses. The department was on the smaller side. I was looking for someone to come and help and offer suggestions, but really did not have any one offer to assist(although the person working there was friendly). Continued my search for glasses at other optical departments and did not end up buying here.

Update on this place… Here is the deal; I think 2 for $ 99 is a great deal! SIMPLEANDCLASSICLOOK. Kids glasses are great deal too because sometimes they have a $ 49.99 sale. My advice to you is if you want a quality pair of glasses to be sure to visit more than one place. Educate yourself on plastic… it has no UV, lens, and Ar coatings before you shop. Look up Sears Optical under Luxottica and educate yourself on the brand you support. Also educate yourself on doctors before you go the them… you only have one set of eyes… make sure you are getting the best care. Sears and Costco may be lowest cost, but they don’t make time for you… like some places do. EDUCATEYOURSELFPLEASE. Also if you have VSP you get a better deal at private offices… they take it 100% sure try Vision Plus or Vision Source… Promise you! Also know your Insurance because you are the only one who really cares in the end… they are retail not a doctors office.
