Mud Bay

The staff here is so helpful and knowledgeable! Our dog recently began throwing up his dry food and I came in hoping to find a solution. The gal not only redirected my search to something more appropriate for his (apparently) sensitive stomach, but also gave me a breakdown on brands and how to read the labels. She was laid-​back and imparted information without dumping it on me.
I ended up going with a couple of cans of wet food to test run on the giant, and she also gave me a few dry kibble samples to try. I was in a bit of a rush to get back to the car, but can’t wait to come back and browse through all of the treats, toys, and other tricks this location has.

Extremely helpful and wonderful. They told me things about kitty food I had no idea about– like how the protein change is what makes the cat poo everywhere… Saved my carpet. My cat is super picky, and the gal gave me samples to try out– also saved my wallet because the cat didn’t even eat any of them.
Kitty loooooooooves peacock feathers– they sell them for 1 – 2 dollars I forget which. She also loves Weruva «chicken frick-​a-​zee» wet food which I can only find at mud bay but that’s fine because I’m happy to give them my business.
They sell dog toys for less than a dollar more than Amazon– I ultimately didn’t purchase the particular «Mr Bill» toy solely because I didn’t think I should get my friend’s dog more Christmas gifts than my friend. But if I were to buy it I’d buy it from mud bay, it’s local and practically the same cost. Emphasis on local. If I can avoid buying from Amazon or any huge major corporation and buy locally or from a small business, I do it.
The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and overall excellent. I had been looking at cat stuff but recently looked at the dog stuff, they have a great selection, as well as a small animal section.

This is my go-​to spot for all my dogs needs. The staff is super knowledgeable and they offer a lot of natural options. My wife and I raise our pups very holistically so we can rely on their quality and the options here.

I have been taking my kitten to this Mud Bay location every weekend since I adopted her. The staff is awesome and loves to visit with her when we come in. They give her treats and always have super helpful advice for us.
You can tell that every staff member absolutely loves what they do and are die hard animal lovers. I can’t imagine taking my kitten anywhere else for her pet supply needs.

Best pet store I have ever been to! I just recently moved to the area with a new puppy and we were surprised to see how friendly and knowledgeable the staff is here! They were incredibly compassionate and Lyla (my puppy) loved them! Their prices are very reasonable as well! I will be buying all my pet needs from them! Thanks for a great experience!

Absolutely love this place. Super cool staff and very well maintained. They give you samples incase you want to try new products. Nothing shy of a 5 star. Highly recommended.

Our favorite pet store! We have been going here since they have opened in Redmond next to QFC. Love the lower prices which help our budget. Their staff is always friendly and very helpful! Highly recommend!

Julie or Julia is the best! She has helped us with our new puppy from day 1. She was there with a vast knowledge base and enthusiasm before we got our new lab puppy, and then over and over again able to help us! She has a passion for animals and really knows her stuff. Mud Bay should be happy to have her, as she makes the process fun and caring. I trust her and her insight but honestly have never been dissatisfied with any of the employees. I always get a warm welcome when we come in! You have a customer for good!

We were greeted at the door by a member of their very cool staff, who found out what we were specifically hunting for (puppy food for weight gain) and helped me find it in the most low key way possible. The staff members stayed cool as my two dogs swept through the store like a hurricane: overexcited and barking with loud enthusiasm when they saw other dogs, which was constantly because the store was packed.
The staff stayed cool when one of my dogs broke her collar and sent her tags flying, helping me locate the lost tags, and helping my daughter control the dog and calm her down while we out everything back together. No problem. All is cool.
The store has a fantastic selection of foods to meet every need. I like that they offer local brands and high-​quality food and treats, and take care to be knowledgeable about fillers and potential allergens. There’s a wonderful treat bar, and a great selection of toys. The price points are certainly above mass-​market brands, but there’s actually quite a good variety to meet any budget.
I appreciated that the staff held items behind the counter as we found them. I also appreciated being given samples of glucosamine chews, to see which kind my older dog would eat before investing in a full bottle. The clerk was so thorough, marking each sample in a separate bag with the brand and correct dosage for his weight.
If you love to spoil your pets, you’ll love Mud Bay, which way be why we walked out with a huge bag of food, toys, and treats. We’ll be back soon — and I promise we’ll be better behaved.

The people working here are always helpful and knowledgable about a lot of their products. You ask one question, they give you a myriad of answers and solutions. The products they carry are top of the line, sustainable, and healthy. It’s like Whole Foods for pets. I always score free samples of dog treats and food every time I go in. A+!

We frequent Mud Bay since our new puppy came. The associates here are awesome and very knowledgeable.
Our puppy had upset stomach right when we got her and it continued for days and her diet diminished slowly. We went to Mud Bay a few times to see what food options we could try and they gave us awesome food samples ;) finally, some worked and we went back to buy more. If they don’t have samples of something you like, just buy it and you can always return it if it doesn’t work out.
Our pup loves it! :D

Amanda the manager really did do me a huge favor by finding a wet food that our cat actually loved! She is very knowledgable and super nice and remembered me the 2^nd time I came in to tell her how much out kitty loved the BFF brand, so she even let our cat try a few other different BFF flavors. The other employees are super awesome too and the options available for your kitty or dog regarding food, toys, etc are endless. I came back a 3^rd time and finally purchased an entire little box full of BFF packets for our cat and if you buy 12 or more, you get 5% off! Our kitty is so very happy now and is more than grateful when we pour her some of the BFF food into her bowl. She actually licks it clean, she’s never done that! We are very happy with Mud Bay and we’ll be coming back from now on. Great job!

Are YOU serious! I walked in here for a quick purchase and found a gold mine of information. Perhaps two of the most knowledgeable «pet people» I’ve come across. Granted I don’t go to pet meet-​ups but still, I’m not easily impressed and Anthony and his co-​worker (didn’t get her name) were FABulous.
I’m not going anywhere else for my cat needs. I’m home!

Great pet store! Employees are friendly and helpful, and they have a better price on the grain-​free cat food that my cat likes than Amazon does (and Amazon seems to be able to beat anyone on the price of anything). Lots of fun catnip toys and things as well. I’d say the store is probably 60−75% dog stuff, but there’s plenty of cat stuff too.
Today we picked up a cool Rastafarian llama catnip toy as well. It was just so random that I couldn’t NOT get it.

Wow, what a great find in a Redmond strip mall. This spacious store has all sorts of carefully selected, high quality, dog and cat food. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I went in planning to get a small treat for my totally not spoiled dog and came out with treats, a toy, great camo pawprint collar and a new brand of lead to try. There was an excellent assortment of bully sticks and the prices were fair.

I’ve been in this location a few times while living in the Redmond/​Kirkland area. I always forget that it is here and end up going to Petco. Mud Bay is a local business though, and they sell my dog’s food for less than Petco, so whenever I remember, I totally stop in here.
My most recent experience though, was the best. The two people working here were super nice, they had 3 dogs of varying sizes in the store (some theirs, and one they were watching for a customer). They were super nice, knowledgeable guys, and we ended up spending 10 extra minutes in here just chatting them up about dogs, video games, etc. I even got to sit and play with the cute doggies!
This place may not have as much to choose from, but the staff is awesome, so whenever I am in the area, I will definitely choose Mud Bay over other Pet Supply stores.

Still my favorite pet place in WA, have no complaints about anything here, other than I wish there was one near Issaquah/​Sammamish.

This is a great pet store, in an area where there are a lot of great pet stores (which I love!). They are accommodating to pets here, and have a very good selection of foods and toys and supplies, at competitive prices. The staff is friendly. They do not have grooming services here as at other larger pet stores, but they are a good resource to find services you might need (i.e., find pet sitters, groomers, walkers, trainers, etc).
I’m not sure why this store got «dinged» for not being up on medical conditions and specialized diets. This is not a veterinary office or animal hospital, and the staff don’t have medical or specialized degrees. It’s a pet store! I wouldn’t come here (or to any pet store) looking for medical advice. But if you’re in need of pet supplies and nice staff, this is as good a place as any.
