Very good wine! I was surprised. Never had their wine before. Now I’m a fan and ready to join their wine club. Very impressed.

So far not super impressed with Washington tasting rooms. I won’t say wines because I have had some stellar Washington wines before. Just not from here. Tasting is $ 10, which seems pretty steep(on par with the major wine areas like Napa). You do get a pretty good selection of wines but none that are mind-blowing. Best one of the lot was the Chardonnay. I’m not usually a Chardonnay fan but this was nice. Not nice enough to justify the steep price, even considering we could have applied the tasting to it. Service was the best thing about our visit.

If you remember an episode in Seinfeld about soup Nazis — that’s Forgeron cellars wine club. This is the only wine club I know that doesn’t allow you to exchange wines in you pickup/shipment from the ones you don’t want to the ones you want. Basically you are stuck drinking what you got whether you like it or not. If it turns out the wine you don’t like — the joke is on you. While their wines are quite good, some are better than others. However, since they are so customer unaccommodating I can only give them two stars.

Very friendly staff. They took the time to talk with us about the wines as well as offer suggestions on restaurants. they also wave the tasting fee if you buy a bottle. The only drawback is that this place is tiny. There was another party when we arrived so we had to stand at a corner of the bar until they left. Probably better in the summer when you can go out on the porch.

Prior to our second visit, we stopped by an unnamed tasting room. I thought my taste buds were off because this was supposed to be a very good winery and it had very little depth. We hit Forgeron and, nope, my taste buds were fine. When you have well made wine you know it. They are complex and wonderfully balanced. It is some of the better affordable wine in Woodinville. The tasting room is small, but staff is wonderful. They are sociable and welcoming. They will talk wine, food, travel, you name it. We came for the wine and, well we stayed for the wine, but the people really held us there.

I really liked their wines but for the price point I would have hoped for more. Friendly helpful staff.

Our pourer was very knowledgeable about the wines and even poured us an extra tasting so that we could take it outside and enjoy the sun. Very calm, inviting place.
