Service is 5 stars. Very competent and cool people work here. They know how to make a sando and also know customer service. I got the #20 based on an employees recommendation. If they upped the quality of the bacon this would be 5 star, the Dutch Crunch roll, the roast beef and all the lettuce and pickles and tomatoes were so tasty and fresh. Definitely give this place a whirl. Thank you!

I like the Sandwich Spot, but I just came in after having been away for some time and I was a bit shell shocked by the prices. Not so much the sandwiches, but the salads. What was a 4.99 chicken-salad salad is now nearly eight bucks. Ouch. I would rate their sandwiches higher than their salads. They have a really good variety, some unique combinations and they do tri tip on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The salads? Pretty much a sandwich without the bread, and more lettuce. It will all be neatly arranged in a plastic tub. They put a decent amount of meat on them. It’s a little bit awkward mixing all the dressing in but it’s probably not a good venue for tossing the salad. Certainly, they are better than any fast food burger chain salad you will get. It looks like the place has been remodeled. It’s nice, comfortable and clean. Ordering and paying is a little hap hazard, particularly when it gets busy. You do get to communicate with your sandwich/salad maker, so you have the opportunity to get it dialed in if you want. They used to have this card program(I don’t know, maybe they still do) where you buy seven and get the next one free. I think it was seven, it was a while ago. Then they started to disallow tuna salads for getting credit(WTF? that’s all I get and I normally redeem a tuna salad, even if I ordered a bunch of chicken salads.) No matter, doesn’t put me out that much. Small annoyance. I used to come here a lot because it was a great deal, now I’m kind of thinking well, for what I’m paying there’s other avenues. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still in my rotation, just with a lot less frequency. Still a decent deal for sandwiches.

My favorite sandwich place in the area, I come here often for lunch. The tritip sandwich is damn good!!! But is only available on Tuesdays and Thursdays. I also like to get the turkey and cheese. I don’t personally care for the bomb sauce, a bit overpowering on the sandwich. Also I’ve come at lunch for the tritip and have been told it wasn’t ready yet, so that’s always a little disappointing but overall… love this place.

Went in there for the first time today. I do love Sandwich Spot, but had never been to this location. I ordered a cheese sandwich plus avocado. When I got rung up, it was charged as a specialty vegetarian sandwich — for $.50 more. It’s a little weird that they have this discrepancy on their menu, but I’m sure there’s some reason for it. I hate being a pill, but I also really hate being overcharged… so I asked him about that. He explained that there was no difference. I said, «Oh, but there’s a $.50 difference???» He looked it over and says«You’re right» and charges me for what I ordered(and was, for the record, super friendly — as was the person making my sandwich). Meanwhile, I can hear an employee(not even the person who made my sandwich or was ringing me up!) discussing this situation as it unfolds. I won’t get into what they said or who it was — but suffice to say it made me feel super awkward! I let them know I could hear them talking… I thought maybe they should know that customers can hear them! They fell completely silent and just stared back at me. I tipped and left as fast as I could — I felt weird! The sandwich is okay, but definitely not as good as other Sandwich Spots(stale bread/old ingredients — on top of really awkward customer service from some). I don’t think I’ll go back…

They have great sandwiches. It’s just too bad they are hardly ever actually open during their business hours. I’ve always checked their hours before going because I know they close earlier than most sandwich shops, and they are almost always closed. When your sign says you close at 3:30, you shouldn’t be closed before one! I don’t know if the employees are lazy or what, but I’m not going to this location anymore.

Staff needs a tad bit of improvement on customer service, other than that it was ok.

I love Sandwich spot… but NOT this location. The sandwich lacked flavor and meat. They were very stingy with the portions. However; don’t let this location curb you attention away from Sandwich Spot. The Sandwich Spot by Sunrise/50 is great and super friendly. If you are ever in the Roseville area, you MUST try this location. They are located off Pleasant Grove I believe. The staff is super friendly and the sandwiches are AMAZING! Best sandwiches around.

Today was my first visit here. The menu seems abundant and most of the sandwiches sounded good. I decided to go with a standard roast beef and cheddar. I ordered to go but when I got back to work, I realized the sandwich was definitely lacking in the meat department. There was a fair amount of roast beef on half the sandwich but the other half was almost all bread so I basically paid $ 8.00 for half a sandwich. I honestly feel you will get a better sandwich and a better deal at Raley’s, Safeway, or Mr. Pickles. At this point I feel like I should also mention that their roast beef is dark brown. Not a deal breaker for me but I do feel the deli at Raley’s and Safeway have better cuts of meat… more red and marbled. Probably won’t return and wouldn’t recommend it to a friend or coworker.

This place makes a damn good sandwich. No fat on meat(and they put a lot of meat on your sandwich) and the bread is super fresh. Price of sandwich is $ 7.50

I remember when the Mather Field location opened several years ago, and I was one of the first customers. What’s kept me coming back is the great sandwiches and customer service. Not annoying fake friendliness like at certain chicken fast-food joints. Just courteous, but to the point, customer service. The Howe avenue location is owned by the same guy and gets the same 5 stars, although you’re more likely to encounter a homeless person pushing some conspiracy theory outside. No homeless guy, Rodney Dangerfield is not in there«kicking people,» as he’s been dead awhile. Step aside and let me get my food in peace, thanks. *** Natomas location on Truxel***: 1 star only. This location is owned by someone else who obviously could care less about customers and cleanliness. I’ve been there only twice, the second time because I forgot how bad the first trip was… it had been a while. Service: I had to wait at the register over 10 minutes while the«cashier» did some random tasks, chatted with co-workers, compared some cell-phone pics, and changed out the trash without washing her hands. Come on man! Food: The girl that made my sandwich was new, and trying to do a good job which she did. The only nit-pick here was the amount of secret sauce. My breath was so garlicky, Bram Stoker’s skeleton moved a little in his casket. Other than that the sandwich was ok. Drinks: No fountain machine. As an American consumer spending hard earned $, this feels a bit cheap. Get a fountain machine. The machine and sauce can be overlooked, but the cashier really didn’t care about her job. That’s a turnoff.

This Sandwich Spot is not far from my work. I’ve ordered a few sandwiches over the years and have always enjoyed the food I’ve received. So, today I made the decision to supplement the soup I brought to work for lunch by splitting a «Harrah’s» Pastrami sandwich with a coworker. We ordered the sandwich with all veggies, provolone, and secret sauce on sourdough. Upon arrival the sandwich was noticeably hefty. Once unwrapped, we confirmed the girth of the sandwich and noticed the fillings were quite generous. We grabbed a half a sandwich each and dug in. The bread was perfect. Interior was super soft and the crust had a little«chew» with nice sourdough flavor. The pastrami was quite lean and pretty flavorful. The cheese was not well represented as the portion should be twice what was included. All the veggies were nice and fresh. And the garlicky«secret sauce» helped bring everything together. My coworker and I agreed that with a tad more pastrami and double the cheese, this could be a Five Star offering. But as served, it’s a solid four stars. Nice, clean place. Great service. Good food at a fair price($ 8).

We decided to try this little place out off of a recommendation from a coworker. He told us they had amazing sandwiches! When we walked in it was a little hard to figure out who was in line and who was not. The girl making the sandwiches yelled out«NEXT!» so I asked to two people in front of me if they were in line. They said they were waiting to pay so I stepped up to the counter. The girl making sandwiches was pretty darn rude. I walked up and said, hi, and she just stared at me. That was super awkward so I ordered the sandwich I wanted. Her response was, «ok.», and then she continued to stare at me with an annoyed look on her face. My husband had to explain to me that I needed to pick what bread and my husband had to show me where they have pictures of all the toppings you can put on each sandwich. Why is my husband having to do this chicks job? I had never been to a Sandwich Spot before so I didn’t know the routine, it’s your job to explain NICELY how the process works to new customers. If you don’t, those new customers will not come back. The sandwich was good and a very good size! I like how they toast the bread and pile it high with a ton of meat! I will not be coming back to this place because of their service. I can find another place to get a sandwich were the staff is actually kind to their customers.

I would only go here if I didn’t have time to make a good sandwich. The staff is extremely rude, mainly all the women that work here. No hellos, thank you, or welcome. Went here with my father in law, who recently has been recovering from a stroke at 50, so he’s a little slower and needs a second to process, the women that worked here were either upset with all his questions and acted like they didn’t want to help, or rudely stared at him. I will not be returning, seems as the ladies here have no class or manners, what a shame to this community.

First time trying a sandwich at this location, and I loved my sammy. Got #19 on a wheat roll which was made with turkey, prosciutto, Swiss cheese and avocado. Only asked for secret sauce, tomatoes, peppers and lettuce but it was bomb! I really liked the crunch of the bread. I’ve had a tri tip with everything on a Dutch crunch at the Zinfandel location and it was good too. They were busy during lunch hours but they made sandwiches pretty quickly, the place was clean. Good lunch spot!

Went back and, the prices are higher… but I like the food so I’m giving it 4 stars. The key is to NOT call it in, better to order and wait for it, so it will be warm.

This little gem of a sandwich shop is located in the Rockingham Plaza. I frequent this place when I go out for lunch since it is less than 5 min away from where I work. I’m surprised that some of the past reviewers have experienced bad customer service here because I’ve had nothing but a good experience. All the workers are courteous and orders are always accurate. The owner, Robert, is always friendly and recognizes his frequent customers. I love coming here on Tues or Thurs when they have tri-tip! I suggest coming before noon on these days to avoid a long line. Their chocolate chip cookies are to die for! They are baked fresh each morning and are usually gone by the lunch hour. They also have punch cards for frequent flyers! Unfortunately, you can’t use your free sandwich for tri-tip; however, other menu items that I’ve tried have all been delicious.

I typically visit the Sandwich Spot in Midtown Sac but this one is close to work. I have to say, the sandwiches are just as awesome and the people are very nice — I’ve always had great service and my order is always spot-on. The one thing I like more about this location… that FABULOUS potato salad. I’m not sure why it’s so much better here, but it is.
