I had a pretty good experience at Fiesta Filipino. I went during the week for dinner with my buddy and we ordered a ton of food. The portions seemed comparable to a Chinese Restaurant where you order dishes for your table to share. Everything seemed hot, fresh and flavorful. I’ve heard they have a good«rice plate» type of menu for lunch and a Sunday Buffet but haven’t experience them personally. If your in the area and looking for good Filipino food, give them a try!

I went there for lunch and I was almost ready to leave when I saw the buffet style. Glad I didn’t though. For lunch, you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I had the three combination plate so I could share with my friends. I had a delicious chicken in a tomato like sauce and a pork in a brown sauce. Both were very good although could be a little spicier. Each combination came with a huge plate of rice — I’d estimate 3 cups worth. Overall it was quite good and will be a regular lunch spot for me. The prices were good too — for 7 people the total was $ 57 with an appetizer and combinations all around.

Finally, Filipino food somewhere other than South Sac(no disrespect to the south area!). But from reading the initial reviews of this place(they opened last December), I was pretty skeptical about going, let alone bringing out of town family here for a meal. I’ve been to a few good Pinoy restaurants that tasted homemade, so I have pretty high expectations. I read somewhere that they have a buffet on Sundays. Now we’re talking! So me and the somewhat-virgin Filipino food eater(«lumpia» was all he knew) went for an early Sunday dinner. We pulled into an empty parking lot. Yikes. That’s never a good sign. We walked in and were greeted by 2 friendly gentlemen. There were 2 long tables set up with food. I’d say there were about 9 different entrees to choose from. I felt like I was the first guest to arrive at a Filipino house party because the food was delicious and tasted simply homemade. My only complaint was that there was no lumpia(haha) and the food was not that hot. It was all good though. And a great deal at $ 9/person. The place is clean, nicely set up with Filipino décor, and the flat screen set to TFC, of course! They do karaōke on Friday and Saturday nights, and you can rent the place out for parties or banquets. I will be taking my family here from now on. on a Sunday.

Very disappointed in this place and we didn’t even eat there. We went on a Friday night at 7:30pm and there wasn’t a single customer in the restaurant. We got seated promptly which was nice. The waitress said we could order off the menu or from the steam trays. We went to take a look at the steam trays and everything in there looked like it had been sitting there since lunch. Everything looked dried out and way overcooked. This was a huge turnoff from the outset. We got back to our table and looked at the menu. The menu was small, the cover read that it was the Karaōke Night Menu. It only had«Small Plates» at $ 9 each. That was going to add up fast. So we left $ 5 and said we changed our minds. We felt bad about leaving, but it did not look like it was going to be a good experience at all. Also, the waitress was wearing a lot of very strong perfume, it was quite a distraction. Follow up — I took a look at the Sacramento EMD website — I would encourage all readers to review their site once in a while and check up on restaurants before you eat there. Take a look at the page for Fiesta Filipino, I was curious after my visit: You’ll see that they’ve had one red(shut down) and one yellow(conditional pass) rating this year.

I wish there was a Filipino restaurant that served freshly made food not in a steam table. But the food was good, the place had good number of seats with karaōke(not a big fan of it) and the prices were reasonable. You order from the steam table and they’ll bring it to your table so it’s not like a cafeteria. As far as complaints that some food is fatty, this is Filipino food. We indulge in this and the cuisine is not exactly Weight Watcher fare. You go there knowing you will encounter fat in the pork, a lot of fried fare and tasty deserts. It was good first experience and I will be coming back for more.

A clean place to begin with. but a few selection on the turo-turo. they have Crispy Pata and Lechon Kawali! And yes, the prices are a bit expensive(as most filipino owned restaurants). but overall a really good place to begin with.

I was excited to try this place out. My wife and I ate here a few days ago for lunch… we both came out disappointed. For the amount they charge for a combo you couldn’t even get a 5 year old full. Menu seems to always be the same. You can only eat here so many times before you get tired of the choices. I ate the Adobo and Bisteak. Bisteak was tasty but the Adobo was too fatty and drowned in too much vinigar. I usually like to support my fellow countrymen but I don’t think I’ll be stepping in this place again. Sorry.

I was excited to see that this place was open near my work. Until my visit here, I was a Filipino food virgin, so I was looking forward to trying some lumpia and adobo. You can’t order from a menu during the lunch hours; they have a few offerings to choose from, and they are served from a steam table. I was a little disappointed that my first taste of Filipino food was coming from a steam table, but at least it was quick. My lunch special was $ 7 and included 2 entrees and a big pile of rice. I liked the taste of the pork adobo but the meat was pretty fatty so I left a lot on my plate. I didn’t love it, but it was a good deal and I will probably be back to try a few more items. I will just try to sit far away from the big TV which blares some version of Filipino Idol into the dining area. Note: They also have a few shelves on the side where they sell Filipino groceries(sauces, noodles, etc).
