Everything is home made. This restaurant is our 1st on the list for family dinners. If the line is out the door, don’t worry, they seat you quickly and the food is always good! Come here with your gal pals for a mimosa! They also have low calorie breakfasts!

While working in the area, was looking for decent dinner. This place looks a couple of steps up from Denys ! Order the NY steak, ask for medium rare. When it came out, steak was about ¼ thick, I knew it won’t be medium rare. It’s almost well done and hate to but had to send it back. New one was medium, ok, fine, ate, fill up, nothing more to write home about. Waiter was pretty nice guy.

I thought it was a nice cozy place. The host was very personable and our server was nice. The food was good. I had primed rib, mashed potatoes and seasoned vegetables. The portions were large so I took food home. Its a family style place. Prices were reasonable and restroom was clean. Would come back.

Fantastic service(Ricky) and superior food. It was recommended to me as «imagine Denny’s but, high end». The description was spot on and the price was comparable to Denny’s as well. If you want to sit down and eat a meal– this is where you should go.

I eat at Brookfields relatively often and not once have I been disappointed. Tons of great food options, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. I usually get either the Cinnamon Roll French Toast or the Tostada Salad, both of which are excellent entrees that I would highly recommend. Lots of healthy options too, which is always a plus. I also love that they have fresh baked cookies you can get for only $ 1.00. Great service. Everyone is always attentive and friendly. Also conveniently located on the corner of Sunrise Blvd and Folsom Blvd near Highway 50, so be sure to stop in and check them out if you haven’t already. Overall a great restaurant that I plan on continuing to visit!

Have been here before, dine in was fast service, quality food and very sizable portions. However, take out wasn’t great on potions and forgot several items that I paid for … But, overall quality of food is always right on — magically delish ! 2 thumbs up.

I love Brookfields! From the corned beef hash breakfast, to the petite strawberry shortcake dessert. it is all yummy. I prefer to drive down here from placervlle than visit our local breakfast hotspot. Brookfields always delivers excellent service and great food at good prices. I havent had a bad meal there and love the little things, like how you you can order a petite version of the desserts or how my glass of iced tea never goes empty. It gets loud in there, but Im glad all the tables are good sized and not crammed on top of each other. Im happy to make the drive down the hill when I want a good breakfast or just a solid, reasonably priced dinner.

Since it was the first day of the TARTAR(Trikes and Recumbents Tour the American River) ride everyone went as a group to dinner at Brookfield’s. It was a nice large place with American food and a varied menu. It was clean and orderly and service was good with friendly helpful wait staff. We both had the carved roast beef dinner with a baked potato, asparagus and a nice craft beer. The beef was good but not as tender as we would have liked and the asparagus was ok but not great. Still all in all it tasted good especially after the 20 mile trike ride from Rancho Cordova up to Fulsom and back, over rolling hills. I know I was really hungry by then and so was everyone else. This is a nice family restaurant that most people would enjoy.

Our waitress Melan was pretty awesome. Came out here for a crew competition and had to carboload. Got the spaghetti and fried zucchini. I’d recommend both dinner anytime!

I know…5 stars!!! What the heck?!! I was pleasantly surprised that this long-standing, chain family diner was so good. Really good. It was our first time ever to eat here and definitely not our last. The restaurant was buzzing on Sunday morning and we were quoted by the welcoming hostess that it would be a 5 – 7 minute wait. Turned out to be more like a 3 minute wait, so we were off to a great first impression! The menu had all the basic breakfast staples, although they don’t offer hashbrowns, which I thought was a little unusual. But our server said they could fry the potatoes crispy(just how I order my potatoes anyways) so they’d be more like hashbrowns. Also, instead of your choice of toast, they offer your choice of housemade scones, muffins, or biscuit. My boyfriend chose the blueberry muffin with his steak and eggs($ 14), and it was large enough to share. It was warm, moist, and not too sweet. We loved it! He also loved his 7oz steak that was more well-done rather than medium-well, like he ordered, but he still thought it was good. I got the crab, avocado, and bacon benedict($ 16) which was the special of the day. A little pricey but they use actual lump crab meat, and everything about it was delicious and cooked perfectly. I added Sriracha(extra star for having the big bottles of it!) and a bit of their house season salt which took it up a notch in flavor. We ended up buying a bottle of their season salt($ 5) since I’m always looking for lower sodium seasoning options besides Mrs. Dash. The sodium content is less than ½ that of regular salt! Can’t wait to use it on everything I cook! Service was also top notch. For a packed house, our food came out lightening fast. Our server was super sweet and attentive. She came around often to check on us and refill our coffees. The manager(or supervisor) wearing the red chef top was also going around to all the tables, making sure everyone was enjoying their food. Loved all the attention and kindness from every staff we came in contact with. To me, when I see all the staff genuinely happy to be working AND they’re working efficiently together, it means that Brookfields is doing things right, which shows through in the food and service. Yes…5 stars, indeed!

Excellent service from Mika this morning! Food was great as well — we had gluten free french toast and the steak & eggs special. We’ll be back for Easter breakfast tomorrow!

This is one of my favorite breakfast places(and that is saying a lot considering I’m not usually a fan of breakfast foods). My husband discovered this place when he was looking for a nice spot to take his out-of-town buddy out for breakfast and he gave it such high praises that I asked him to take me with him next time. We come here about once or twice a month to do a little morning date– it really helps us to start our morning off right. The best, when weather permits, is to sit out on the back patio. It’s super relaxing, and it’s less noisy. I’m in love with their Pumpkin Spice muffins. I’ve never ever been a fan of anything pumpkin flavored, but these are to die for. I wrote the manager and suggested that they should do these year around instead of just seasonally. Their baked goods are on a first-come, first-serve basis, so if you show up late then you might not get the flavor you’re wanting or expecting. The omelets have all been great! My husband has tried a couple different ones(with me sneaking a bite here and there). I’m not much of a «breakfast» person, I much prefer to munch on pastries. Although I’ve been wanting to try one of the iced mochas, yum! The only complaint I have is that their prices seem a tad high, considering that the portions are not THAT large, but for good service and tasty food– it hasn’t stopped us from going back multiple times!

Had an awesome Shrimp Benedict and shared some Tortilla Soup with my lady. The poached eggs in the shrimp benedict were cooked perfectly and the shrimp was fresh. My girlfriend has been coming here for years and wanted to take me today. For being as packed as it was at 12:30 on a Sunday, I was sutprised we only waited 10 minutes to be seated. Our server unfortunately was a little too busy and wasnt able to be as attentive as we’d like. Ordered tortilla soup to come before our meal but ended up coming out after our meals were served. Our server later sincerely apologized for the soup mishap. All in all, it was a great meal and I will be back!

Enjoyed a great lunch, reasonably priced and wonderful service today by Laura. Opted for the Swiss steak. A decent portion with good flavor. Wasn’t a huge fan of all the squash in the vegetable medley, but it was seasoned right. If you like cornbread. You gotta get some here. A huge warm piece and delicious.

Brookfields serves basic American no frills food. We selected this restaurant simply because it was across the street from our hotel and we wanted to have something hot to eat after a 5+ hour drive. The menu has various salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, and desserts. It was packed during lunch and took a long time before our waitress came to take our order. Given the crowd, I had high hopes for the food. Everyone on our table chose the lunch special, soup and half sandwich. I had the beef sandwich and chicken tortilla soup. The chicken tortilla soup was lukewarm and tasted like canned soup topped with fried tortilla strips. The beef sandwich had enough meat but was loaded with too much mayo and a crispy, too oily tasting bread. I ended up just eating the meat and tomato with a fork and knife just because I was hungry. The food looked and tasted like it was just slapped together. While it took a long time before we were able to order, once our server came to our table, we quickly got water, food, condiments. Our server was friendly and kept checking on us. She took good care of us and made us feel welcomed. The next day, my friends decided to try Brookfields again for breakfast. The breakfast menu offers the usual American breakfast options, eggs, sausage, potatoes, pancakes, French toast, biscuits, etc. I chose the corned beef and potatoes with eggs and a biscuit. The corned beef was tasted homemade, eggs were done perfectly, and the biscuit was decent. My friends seemed to enjoy their breakfasts as well as most plates were finished by the end of breakfast. This time, our server was there the moment we sat down. He brought coffee and water quickly and food was brought to us in a reasonable amount of time. He kept our coffee refilled and was again very capable and made us feel welcomed. Would I return? While the food was passable at lunch it was just too bland and mediocre for my taste. Breakfast was a completely different story. It was definitely better tasting and prepared. Maybe their breakfast cooks are simply better than the lunch cooks? In any case I would avoid lunch altogether and stick with breakfast at this restaurant.

I practically live here. Their kitchen is better than my own especially since I don’t have to do the cooking! Always a great friendly staff! The food here is great no matter what you order! The prices are on par for the quality of the food you get. I have eaten here literally 100+ times and I will continue to do so. Don’t get me wrong they are not infallible and they will make mistakes but simply let them know and they will take care of you! There are too many good reviews on Unilocal for this place which should tell you they value their customers. If you should be unfortunate and not get the quality of food or service you would expect simply ask for a manager and I guarantee they will take care of you! My favorites are… French Dip, Ahi burger or salad, roast beef, beef stroganoff on Sunday nights! Great potato cheese soup on Tuesdays! Just be sure to save me a bowl! As usual great place. This time Wednesday at lunch for Gyro and tomato basil soup!

Stormy and I started coming here because its close. No other reason. This place is a fairly standard Murican restaurant with little to make them stand out except for the fact that they are about 5% move expensive than other similar joints in the area. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go here but I wouldn’t avoid it either. Bright spot: Service is attentive but not intrusive here.

If you want homemade food with friendly service then Brookfields is the place to be. They are good for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have fresh squeezed orange juice, homemade biscuits, homemade potato salad and strawberry shortcake. It’s easy to blow this place off as just another family-type restaurant but try it and you’ll be pleasantly surprised. They take pride in their food and it shows. I usually get the vegan burger — it’s a tasty burger on a fresh sourdough bun with pickles, lettuce and tomatoes. As a side you can get fries, soup, potato salad or sweet potato fries(for an additional $ 1.50). For the vegetarian they also have the artichoke sandwich– sauteed artichoke hearts, mushrooms, spinach and red peppers on pita bread. They’re also really good about any modifications you want to make on your order. If you don’t save room for dessert, pick up a cookie or two on your way out. They are delicious. Oh yeah, I also need to mention that they have a dog friendly patio — yay!
