Smashburger

Terrible service, we got there and there was a long line and we were notified that there were no milkshakes and a 15 minute wait. I JUST CAME FOR A MILKSHAKE HOW ARE YOU OIT OF MILK AND ICE CREAM… Then I went to get dr. Pepper and some weird liquid that was clear came out and it tasted like sour water. DONT GOT TO SMASH BURGER!

Smashburger is one of the best fast-​food joints around. I love their chicken club, which has large pieces of avocado, a couple slices of bacon, and the chicken is very juicy (and smashed). Their smash fries are also very good thought a bit oily — the rosemary is a nice touch. Their onion rings are also very good — the breading isn’t falling off the onion and it feels very cohesive. The burgers also look tasty.
The service at this location was very friendly and the people acted as if they liked their jobs. You can order and then get seated and they bring the food to you (and also bus the tables). Despite the oil on the fries, you don’t feel gross after eating here.
If you’re hankering for some fast food, I’d definitely recommend over other places.

Made a ‘FREE-​BURGER’ bet with my friend and won! His dumb-​azz mistake was thinking it would be at McDonalds! How wrong he was!!! I choose Smashburger. Ordered the Bacon-​bomb Burger with all the works and a hefty side-​o-​Mayo! Let me tell ya folks…‘never had something as sloppy, juicy n delicious as that masterful work of burgery culinary art. When stuff starts fallin’ outa yur sandwich no matter which way ya hold it — it’s a winner! Ordered the fries crispy, they too were excellent. Salad? Come on man! Don’t need no frikken salad, especially when I had some Lettuce ‘n a few slices of Tomato on me burger!

Driving home from Newark airport after Thanksgiving weekend, the wife and I were craving a good burger. Unfortunately and fortunately for me, she isn’t a shake shack fan, so we looked at an alternative on 17 — Smashburger.
Smashburger has several enticing options, or if you’re not satisfied you can always build your own. I went with the Spicy Jalapeño Baja Burger — topped with pepper jack cheese, jalapeño’s, guacomole, and chipotle mayo on a chipotle bun. My wife (a vegetarian) asked to have the veggie burger with the same options as my Spicy Jalapeño Baja and they were very accommodating. For sides, I went with the spicy buffalo fries. The burger itself was really well made with a nice amount of spicy — not over the top at all. The chipotle bun was a nice touch, and I was a fan of the chipotle may for sure (even took more on the side). Definitely a huge cut above fast food chains, and on par (or day I say better?) than Shake Shack. The buffalo fries were good, but due to the overwhelming salty taste (all of the seasoning wears on you) I don’t think I will have them again. Still, plenty of other fry options available.
I do like that they attempt to make it a restaurant/​fast-​food hybrid with food delivered to your table, and taken away for you when you’re finished. Absolutely worth checking out and a place I’ll return to for sure

My first time at a Smashburger, and I was super curious what theyre burgers would be like… they met my expectation.
When we walked in, my first thought was the design was odd. The counter is very short and the workers walk to a window to pick up orders and you can walk right up to it with them. its such a wide open space.
Onto the food… I ordered a bacon cheddar burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was a good size, came on an egg bun and the one thing that stood out was how well it was cooked to juicy perfection. Every bite was so juicy I had to wipe my mouth after every bite because the juice was dripping. the sweet potato fries on the other hand were bland and needed seasoning. The regular smashed fries were better because they have garlic and pepper on them.
Before we left we asked for pepper & salt packets but the guy said they didnt have them. I thought that was odd that a take-​out wouldnt provide the packets. weird.
I will definitly go back for a burger again and bring my own seasoning for those fries.

The girl working the counter was incredibly rude and short. She made it clear from the start she was absolutely not thrilled about being there, not even a small attempt to fake it. I used to come here frequently but haven’t over the last six months or so. Service has slipped and the drink area and order preparation area were dirty and sloppily kept. Seems like they’ve stopped caring, considering it was a Tuesday night on the early end of a possible dinner rush. Although, food was hot and prepared well.

I had the goat cheese spinach cucumber salad with grilled chicken
The salad was very good, a nice mix of cheese, sun flower seeds, raisins, cucumber, diced tomatoes with a lot of spinach.
They were nice enough to ask what I didn’t want on it, so I skipped the dressing.
In the future I would skip
the onions, though small, they are raw and overpowering and the chicken was luke warm pulverized and way too salty
All in all, felt like healthy fast food.

Not a bad salad for a burger place. I love the online ordering system. I just ordered and paid online and it was ready to go when I got there. Plenty of dressing and napkins and fork and knife. I don’t think that’s asking a lot, but a lot of places can’t even get that right. I think the salad is comparable to Panaera’s which has a similar online ordering system. I caloroically can’t afford a burger, fries, and a shake right now, but the grilled chicken salad with balsamic dressing is a pretty good choice. At $ 8, it’s a better value than Panara or Energy Kitchen, and it’s way better than McDonalds and Wendy’s.

Good burgers but the fries are horrible. I’m not sure if you could make fries any worse.

I love Smashburgers. I like the premade options and the options to create your own burger. I also really like the smash fries. The food always comes out really quickly. The burgers are kind of oily but the actual quality of the ingredients seems pretty good and the result is delicious. I usually leave pretty full but not in a bad way.

Gotta admit i wasn’t expecting much from a «chain» burger joint. i’m glad i left surprised. ordered a regular burger with no cheese but bacon, it was absolutely flavorful and cooked perfectly. ingredients were fresh, food was prompt and the rosemary and garlic fries?! AMAZING! The majority of patrons had milk shakes, however I did not get one (trying to eat better, yes I know hypocrisy!) All in all it was a great food and well worth the price.

Highly overpriced for very little food. Took me 10 minutes to get a NJ Burger. When I got home it wasn’t even the right order.

The black bean burger is the only way to go here. Its delicious and extremely impressive for a fast food joint like this.
Avoid all of the other sandwiches as they have an extremely high sodium content and you will notice the salt taste with every bite. If you’re into that you may like it, but overall you can tell the quality of the meat just isn’t that great.

I’ve heard great things about this new burger chain, but as a new burger chain, I didn’t know what to expect.
This location was extremely clean and the staff were super friendly and very patient. I have a tough time making decisions, so thankfully they have a few burgers to choose from and they all sound amazing. You order, they bring the food to your table and I was pleasantly surprised. The burger was nice and juicy, the toppings were good and they packed this burger with just the right amount of toppings. I like my burgers as neat as a burger could possibly be and nothing was falling off the side of this thing.
Great burger, the fries were thin and crispy, just how I like them. I will gladly be back at Smashburger.
