Blown Away Blow Dry Bar

Beautiful salon. Customer service was great. My stylist was really nice and did a great wash, but the blow out was terrible. I asked for «beachy waves,» something they offer, and instead got stuck with ringlet curls that would not loosen no matter how much I brushed them out. She never used a round brush once to create a nice texture at the roots or for the pieces framing my face. Salon has so much potential, but they need to either hire people with more experience or give every stylist proper training. Such a bummer when you pay $ 35 and have to put your hair in a bun because it looks so bad.

I came while in Raleigh for business, and Liz did my blowout and did a great job. The salon was very modern and clean, and I loved the creative names for the types of blow-​outs offered. When in Raleigh again, I will definitely go back for a little pampering! And the prices are better than NYC/​NJ prices :)

Not only is Blown Away a beautiful and amazing blow dry bar but the staff fit the bill as well. Julie and Jenny (the owners) are efficient, professional and helpful. The stylists listen to your ideas and visions and know how to make it come to life. Manal combined two looks for me («neat and back”-with a braid and «with a splash”-beachy waves). I absolutely loved it and got so many compliments. The price is right but the experience is even better! They truly make you feel welcome! It’s in an awesome location too; close to great restaurants and all of midtown and north hills daily events. Highly recommend Blown Away Blow Dry Bar!

Went in for my birthday and had Rose. I am insanely picky on how people style my hair but Rose did an amazing job! The shampoo was out of this world! My blowout looked amazing and lasted 3 days! I couldn’t have been more happy!

I flew into Raleigh for a family member’s wedding. I knew I needed to get my hair done and found Blown Away Blow Dry Bar through the Unilocal app. I called and was able to make an appointment the next day.
I was seen by Carlton and explained what I wanted. At first I was not sure he could do what I was asking for and I was a bit nervous. I have very thick, semi-​long hair and I find that not everyone really knows how to style it correctly. He washed my hair really well and sat me at his station. He untangled my hair and then began drying it with his fingers. I freaked out a little. I knew that my hair was going to fluff up. Sure enough, once my hair was dry I looked like a crazy person. Then he began to comb my hair back and blow drying it with a brush. He wrapped my hair in a ton of brushes. I kept trying to figure out what was happening. Not going to lie, I was nervous. When he was done he unwrapped the brushes out of my hair and voila I was beautiful! He added a thin braid on the top of my hair. It looked like a headband. Loved it!
Carlton, you are a hair genius! If I’m ever back in Raleigh I will be stopping by Blown Away and letting Carlton make me pretty again.

I love it here! Carlton & Manal consistently do a fantastic job with my hair. I love it every time & their blowouts last for days. Julie is very customer service oriented, greets guests warmly & genuinely wants folks to leave happy. The glass of champagne just adds an extra nice touch making this a stellar experience. I’ve been recommending them to everyone I know.

I visited Blown Away again and had Nicole as my stylist. She was very detailed with shampooing my hair and styled it with a lot of volume (which I love). I usually have to tease my hair to get volume but Nicole did it with products & blow dry technique. Nicole really spent her time making my experience a pampered treat! After wearing my hair for the past day and a half, I realized there was a lot of product in it and it’s kind of uncomfortable. Next time I’ll request something not so thick with residue, but I’ll definitely be back.

These girls are awesome! Great atmosphere, their menu has lots of fun options. Everyone that works here is extremely friendly and they carry great products!!! I will be back every time I’m in Raleigh!!!

My best friend booked Blown Away to do her wedding day hair. There was a miscommunication during the run through and I called up Blown Away to discuss. I’m the maid of honor and my best friend doesn’t always do well with telling people when there is a mistake. I will say this, how people react to a mix up sometimes is more telling than everything always going perfectly. I was really impressed with how they handled my concerns. The owner Jenny was really understanding and spoke to me on a human level. Which is a great feeling, to know that she is looking at you as a person and not just an annoyance. She was really helpful and worked things out above and beyond with me. I know that the next time I need to go to the salon to get my hair styled I will definitely go to blown away because I know that they will go the extra mile to make sure that I am happy and taken care of.
