Clean, simple, and pure ingredients. That is the only way to describe the taste and quality of Azurelise Chocolates. If you have not tried them, it’s well worth it.

I LOVE chocolate and Azurelise chocolates are the best I have ever had. Reginald is a friendly and skilled chocolatier, who uses the best ingredients. My favorite is the dark chocolate julep, but all the flavors are amazing. I send them to my friends in New York who have access to lots of other chocolate and they are very well received.

There will never be anything bad to say about Reginald and his delicious chocolates! He does what he does very well, and suffice it to say that if you are ever unsatisfied he will go above and beyond to make things right! He’s been around for years and I don’t know how he’s been able to remain such a hidden gem! A couple of tips based on my recent ordering experience: if you order in advance to pick up, maybe give him a call directly a day or two ahead of time. I used the online ordering system and apparently he only gets one reminder right when the order was placed. If I hadn’t placed an order for my husband’s Valentine’s box right when I though of it in late January, I would have never remembered to do it later. Unfortunately, this meant that Reginald completely forgot to make my order and when I showed up in the front room of his house on Feb 12, he was befuddled. No worries for me: late chocolates are still chocolates, and I don’t know anyone that could complain about what happened next: he TRIPLED my order and shipped my chocolates out to me for free the next week. We are STILL enjoying Valentine’s chocolates, and now my hubs is forced to share with me. Not only will he have my business for LIFE, but I’ll always spring for at least the 18-box so that we can share. Now on to the chocolate: we both agree that despite being an odd-seeming combination, the peanut butter and caramel chocolates are absolutely amazing. The classic is a good standby, and we also LOVE the Genius(made with Guinness) truffles. While I was waiting in his front room, I got to sample a sea salt caramel, which is delicious as well. We can’t wait to keep working our way through our box of chocolates, and I get the feeling that this will be a go-to gift on holidays to come. You really can’t go wrong with Azurelise!

Azurelise abounds in the elegance and high art of fine chocolates, made to perfection and presented accordingly. I first savored the raspberry peanut butter, but all blossom on your taste buds with glorious pleasure. For a gift or for yourself, or advisedly both, Asurelise chocolates are wonderful.

Local, handmade, luxurious chocolates. How can you go wrong? First of all, I love that Dr. Reginald Savage gives the option of Dark and/or Milk chocolates when you order an custom 9, 18, or 30-piece box. Prices, respectively are: 15 $, 28 $, &40 $ & when you do the math the cost per truffle isn’t bad a all for homemade great quality! He offers an good amount of made-from-scratch fillings for his truffles, that you can choose from. I ordered an 9-piece box of milk chocolates for me, and an 18-piece that I will get soon(it’s a Christmas gift) of Dark chocolates for my mom. Now on to the flavors… my favorite by far is the Peanut Butter Caramel. It tastes like the best gourmet Reese’s Cup you could ever eat. I also really liked Raspberry, & the Classic Pecan. I have tried both the Milk & Dark chocolates. I normally go for a Semi-Sweet chocolates but between these two options I prefer the Milk. But for those who like proper Dark chocolate you won’t be disappointed! Also, the amount filling you get in each truffle is amazing, if you look on the bottom of a couple of the truffles you will see a little of the filling poking out. For my least favorites I would say that the Caramel Filling(excluding Peanut Butter– so delicious & Habanero– haven’t tried it) are a little too ‘dark’ for me. Meaning the Caramel is cooked a little to long– it’s a nice deep amber colour. But hey, his top seller is the Sea Salt Caramel so clearly lots of people like it. The West Coast flavor I can’t explain– it’s a very unique flavor, but I though it was just ok. I like that he keeps true to the notion that simple is best when it comes to presentation of his chocolates. But even with the handwritten chocolate map that comes with the box, if we laid the map in the wrong direction & forgot the original way came in the box then you could no longer tell what chocolates were which. Because of this, I would give Azurelise 4.5 stars out of 5 if I could. You can’t go wrong from buying chocolates from Azurelise. Personal caring service from the owner, high quality ingredients, filling made from scratch, & good value for your money.
