Came here on Martin Luther Kings day and there were only about two other tables there. I’m not used to seeing it so quiet here since during the summer it’s always packed. Our server was great, she always had a smile on her face and was quick to fill up our empty glasses. 5 stars for her! I’ve came here during the summer and the service was horrible. Probably because it’s so busy. My table of 10 only ordered prime ribs and lamb short ribs and none of us were able to finish our meal. The prime ribs came with two sides. The broccoli was just a big crown of steamed broccoli with no salt and you had to cut the stem off yourself which I thought was annoying. The mashed potatoes were also not flavored with any seasoning at all. I was able to try my dad’s fries and they ended being the best side. It was crispy and VERY flavorful. It also came out in a deep fryer basket which made it look presentable. As for the lamb short ribs, it was bone in so the meat fell off the bone right when you picked it with your fork. The risotto that came with it had goat cheese and mushrooms. I was a little worried ordering it since I HATE goat cheese but you can’t taste it at all so if you’re just like me, don’t be scared to order it! The two kids in my family had mac and cheese. Didn’t get to try it but it looked pretty decent. All in all I would definitely come back if you want to have a nice dinner and not spend too much. The entrees were around $ 25 to $ 30 and for the portion they give you I thought it was worth it. One star taken off because of the broccoli and mashed potatoes… and because there were two scraps of bones in my doggy bag(box) from the lamb short ribs.

I absolutely love this place, food is delicious and the environment is welcoming specially for the Golden age clientele. I bring my parents anytime I have a chance to beak free from my busy schedule and they love it… Prices are decent $ 20 for Broil Schrod and $ 24 for Salmon, good variety of food, portion sizes are reasonable + bread before your meal and enjoyed!

Great place to dinner. Whether a romantic dinner for two or an office holiday party. The food is great and service capable, pleasant and friendly — in that Boston only charm. Gotta experience or be Boston baked to get inference. Oh, the aquarium is second to none and my signature«Pear a Pressure» martini was refreshing, but not overly sweet. An adult cocktail without the pretense of a mixologist’s suggested approval. Crab cake slider needs more crab, less filler and exterior crunch for texture and flavor. Good times.

Great Place, really a hidden gem. Best Spot in all of Quincy in my opinion. a bit hard to find, but it was a part of the adventure, had atmosphere. Usually busy can take a bit to get a seat, but it was well worth it. Food is amazing whether you order from the Sea or Land. Would recommend this place to anyone.

For starters, the bread was delicious. My husband had the quahog appetizer and red snapper for dinner, and I had the blackened chicken. Both of us were very pleased. My last review of this establishment wasn’t so good, and I was reluctant to dine here again. I am glad I gave it a second chance.

Decent brunch buffet on Sunday. The balance of breakfast and lunch foods was better than most places, including a carving station on the lunch side. It gets busy quickly, it’s worth it to get there early while it’s still quiet and no wait. Staff is pretty nice, and the views are pretty… well, pretty. Lots of parking. I was happy to not be seated in the same room as the food, it was crazy warm in there, seemed uncomfortable. Near the bar is good.

I have to admit, when we stumbled upon the Inn at Bay Pointe on Unilocal,I was a little concerned… there were a lot of «mediocres» and complaints about the food. However, the hubby wanted to go somewhere which had outdoor seating and was eager to give this place a try. So… we figured we’d give it a whirl. I’m glad we made a reservation an hour or so beforehand. It was a sunny Columbus Day, and everyone wanted to get out and enjoy those last warm days of the Indian summer Boston was experiencing. Other reviews that mention the outdoor seating are very correct. It’s a lovely view and location, and if you don’t make a reservation on a nice day, I imagine you’ll be waiting. The place was just about to full capacity when we got there. The music played on the deck was nice. It was refreshing to hear 70’s and 80’s music(i.e «The Ides of March» by Vehicle and even a breezy Led Zep song… sweet!) instead of the pop music from today that seems to be played everywhere else. But this also reflects The Inn at Bay Points clientele. It’s mostly older, and that’s perfectly okay with me. A nice relaxed vibe. However, if you are eating inside due to no seating outside or if it’s a colder day, that looks pretty nice, too. And that big aquarium is gorgeous to look at! Now…food wise, we were a bit hungry, so we decided to try two appetizers; the stuffed quahogs and the fried duck legs. The quahogs were nice, and the duck wings were *really* nice. And that wasabi slaw that came with them was absolutely delish!!! Two great starts.(although I felt a wee bit overpriced for the amount. Not obscene, though). For meals, I had the steak tips. Bummer that there were only four for $ 17. But… they were pretty good quality and robust steak tips. I ordered mashed potato and butternut squash with the meal. All of it good. The tips were a shade more cooked than I prefer(I ordered medium rare but they were more medium… that’s okay, next time I will just be sure to order them rare to get the shade I want). The hubby ordered the fish and chips, and had asked our server if it was one big piece of fish or a bunch of little fish pieces(he feels smaller pieces battered individually is too much and overpowers the fish). The server had misrepresented the meal as the hubster was told one big piece and it came out in a bunch of little fish pieces deep fried individually, so he was disappointed about that. Unfortunately, the server we had was the least impressive thing about the whole experience. There was the fish misrepresentation for one, but it was also a long time for drinks to come out, there was no mention to us at all about the specials available(we found out about them later as the another server was telling the table getting seated next to us about the specials for the day while we were eating), and no steak knife was given with the steak tips(although to be fair, I just said hell with it, and cut them with the butter knife, and they cut pretty well). But a steak knife I would think would be customary to bring out? Still, that would not prevent us from coming back. The location and atmosphere is great, and the food most importantly, is perfectly fine. Not a bad outdoor dining location by any means.

I went in because this place has been like a hidden gem. Today they seated myself and my boyfriend outside in the blistering sun and a good twenty five minutes had gone by and no one had even looked in our direction. I started to feel faint because we were in direct sun(it is a beautiful view) when I told my boyfriend to get me water from the bar. He borderline had to make a scene between the sixty year olds crowded around the bar before someone actually paid attention. A different bartender brought us water while our waitress disappeared. Absolutely horrible service just for water not even to order!

Wicked mediocre. Brunch is typical. Home Fried potatoes over cooked, old dark color. Yesterdays baked potatoes cut up. I would bet they were ones from last several nights that didn’t sell. Roast beef was very good. Bbq ribs were tasty. Seafood Newburg was all imitation crab from what i could tell. Baked haddock was pretty good, fresh taste. Time to let the dead rose bushes on the deck go. Was comical to see bus boy watering them. View is great! Too bad food quality doesn’t come with it. Was hoping this would be good as i haven’t been here in years. I wont be back. The value for the brunch? … 50 bucks with tip… No good

The service(late lunch on a Saturday) was great. Our waitress was attentive, friendly and quick. The food, not so great. In fact, it was awful. I had a lobster roll, which came out smelling a bit off. It was over seasoned and tasted awful. The meat seemed to have been ground, instead of chunky like everywhere else. Hands down, the worst lobster roll I’ve ever had. The fries that came with it were limp and soggy. The price($ 20) would have been decent had the lobster roll been any good. The décor was… interesting. «It looks like Whitey Bulger should be sitting in the corner,» one member of my party said. It wasn’t trashy by any stretch, but it was definitely dated.

The food is delicious, period! I’ve been here a handful of times since my last review and things have been better each and every time. Today we tried the outdoor patio and the atmosphere was perfect, along with the service.

Came here yesterday and it was beautiful, we(3 others and I) waited an extra 45 minutes just to be seated outside. Just to set the mood — it was fairly busy. We got seated in the back, and we remained unattended for 15 minutes, nobody came to check up on us for drinks or anything. Finally we got a waiter who was taking care of his own tables’ attention. He was extremely apologetic about the situation, got us some bread and drinks, returning 15 minutes later to take our order. Another wait begins. We waited another 40 minutes for our food– we get it they’re busy, but others who have gotten seated after us received their food. Again, we ask for the status of our food. Turns out, the chef was helping serve tables! He tells us our food will be read soon, satisfied, the food came out in about 10 minutes. I wish my phone wasn’t out of battery so I could’ve taken pictures that night. The stuffed lobster was phenomenal, definitely recommended. The fried seafood platter was decent, nothing too superb, but tasty. In brief, if it wasn’t for the affectionate staff and mouth-water food, this wouldn’t have been 3 stars. Food was worth it.

We visited The Inn the night before the 4th. We were looking to discover somewhere new in the area that had outdoor seating. The Inn fit the bill! There was a bit of a wait but that was expected. We had a few drinks at the bar and they were delicious. My only complaint was they were a bit overpriced! Once we got our seat on the back deck we had snacked on one too many goldfish at the bar so we weren’t starving anymore. Lucky for us the back deck has a tapas menu! We started with the octopus salad and tuna poke. I thought both were delicious! The tuna poke was very refreshing! My boyfriend was only semi impressed since the octopus salad didn’t have as much octopus as he would have liked. Next, we had the duck legs and cod croquettes. Duck legs for the win! They were amazing! I highly suggest them to any and everyone. The cod croquettes were ok. By the end of the meal we both wished we had shared a lobster dish instead of having the tapas but what can you do! We’ll save it for next time. The Inn was a great experience and somewhere we will definitely be checking out in the future.

I visited the Inn at Bay Pointe today for lunch and had a wonderful experience. We sat outside on the deck and it was beautiful. The view of the marina is gorgeous. The deck has nice square tables with wicker chairs with comfortable new cushions. We visited with my grandmother who uses a walker and found the entire restaurant to be handicap accessible, even the deck. Our food was great all around. The sever brought over a basket focaccia bread to start with an herbed olive oil dipping sauce — so delicious we ate the whole basket and licked the plate clean. Then I had an arugula and beet salad which was very well made. It included golden and red beets, arugula with balsamic dressing, tomatoes, red onions, and some lovely deep fried pieces of cheese. It was a filling yet refreshing meal. Another person got the Italian chopped salad which included Italian meats, red onions, garbanzo beans, romaine and more. Also delicious. Another person with me got the fish sandwich, a beautiful piece of fried cod on a bun with lettuce and tomato, and a side of fresh cut French fries. One of the best fish sandwiches around. In terms of service, we had a great experience as wel. The main hostess inside was kind and accommodating. The server we had named Eva(or Ava, not sure) was nice and responded quickly to any and all requests. She also had the specials memorized along with their prices which was impressive. All of the servers had on a great uniform– white skirt paired with a navy blue top with anchors on it. So cute for the nautical location and the summertime!

By far, my new favorite summer go-to spot for dinner and/or drinks — and its only ¾ mile away! In the last month and ½, I have been for lunch, dinner and drinks and have never had anything but great food and service. The back deck and bar area are really, really lovely and its hard to name another south shore location where you will find one to rival it(without emptying your wallet.). There is also seating along the dock if you are waiting for a table or just prefer to sip your drink while overlooking the marina. The fire pit is also close to being unveiled which will only add the the phenomenal atmosphere. I have ordered several items but my favorite(and one I’ve tried most often) would be the mussels in white sauce. The sauce is AMAZING(be sure to ask for toasted bread to sop it up) and the portion is huge. The drink menu is FABULOUS, the wine selection impressive and the service is friendly, helpful and efficient. Could not be happier to have this so close by and only question why it took me so long to try it out!

Perfect location where only locals hang. And even though the crowd is a bit older, the atmosphere is great and the place always packed. The view is awesome. The food fresh, good and plenty. Daily specials include mainly seafood but deviates from the typical selection and includes mahi and others. The bar is very good. The staff is a bit rough, very New England.

One of the best hidden gems I have found in MA. The customer service is the best that I have seen in a while. The food was superb, no matter what we ordered it came out delicious. The price point was on point for a classy ambiance and lovely view you didn’t have to pay that price. I decided to go here with my newly fiancé friends for one of her friends birthday but I had a different agenda in my I was going to propose to my girlfriend now my fiancé. The manager Genie was super helpful and such a sweet lady. The wait was long and granted it was a last minute decision she was able to make it a beautiful and memorable moment for me and my fiancé and her friends. Our waiter Jeff was awesome as well very friendly and attentive. The patio had just open up at that time and the food took a little long to be served but he kept on coming over to us and apologizing and congratulateing me on my proposal. Overall great resturant and I will be going back.

Glad my girlfriend recommended the place. The restaurant is off the beaten path(off Washington Street towards Nantasket Beach) and nestled between all the big yachts. The décor is a bit dated but don’t let it deter you from their food. They offer a huge menu ranging from seafood to duck. We started off a fried seafood platter(we were hungry). For my entrée, I’d opted for the duck which was served with cranberry/mushroom risotto. The duck was cooked to my liking — medium well. The risotto was cooked just right and the cranberry was a nice flavor compliment to the duck. My hubby ordered the prime rib(tugboat size — 14−16oz). He was pleased. His prime rib came with a popover(it’s an egg based puff — generally, you see this at old school steakhouses). I like to dip them in caramel sauce(like a dessert). The server was kind enough to bring me a little caramel sauce on the side. We didn’t have room for dessert(though we wished we did). Next time.

This restaurant has been on my peripheral for what seems like forever. We finally had the pleasure of dining here last night for my brother’s birthday after keywording«prime rib» into my trusty Unilocal app. Not going to lie… why hadn’t I dined here before you ask? Well, the décor is a little dated and the patrons always appeared to be more on the mature side. That said, I went in with no expectations and came out with a wide smile! Right away, we were served their yummy foccacia bread with herb garlic evoo. We had so much of it that we needed to remind ourselves that we didn’t order dinner yet. So here’s what the survey says about what we ordered: Clam chowder — Very good and just about what you’d expect from your basic creamy New England clam chowder. Brussell sprouts — We had them put the bacon on the side as I don’t eat pork but wow, there was just something about preparing this with maple syrup that made this taste so unique. You would never think to cook it this way. 5 stars. We loved every morsel. Fried calamari — Light and crispy and with every forkful I took, I also strategically placed a pepperoncini on top. So tasty! Spicy grilled oysters — Here’s one dish I would pass. I was a bit confused about the preparation. It was basically still a raw oyster but the«grilled» part was clearly just«warmed» so we were served warm raw oysters. Yeah, that was a conundrum. Prime rib — My dad ate their 20oz and remarked that it was better than the last few places we’ve had it. His cut was also medium rare so they do have rarer cuts here even on a Tuesday night. Thumbs up for that. Scallops with lobster risitto — This dish was just AWESOME. The scallops were larger than half dollar coins and there were at least 2 pairs of lobster claws in the risotto. Really, this dish should’ve been called scallops and lobster on risotto. The risotto had a slight cheesy consistency and went beautifully together with the seafood. Highly recommend! The server was super attentive throughout and helped us with the cake and birthday song for our guest of honor. Can’t wait to try them out again for brunch!
