I must say this gym is getting better and better. It’s conveniently located on Jamaica Avenue so it’s accessible by anyone who has to take the bus and the train. There’s also a parking lot that charges by the hour nearby. I like the new manager Dulcé. She’s really nice. She greets me when I come and go. She asks about my workout. I feel like a valued customer. I had a problem with my membership card since October and she solved the problem within a day. She’s really awesome. I also like the classes that are offered at this gym. Jenny G is one of the best Zumba instructors/choreographers around. She’s fully of energy and very encouraging. Dancing is in her blood. I recommend if you’re shy about dancing, try her class. She’s loads of fun.

Gym is fairly good, I like the classes they offer. I wish they had more equipments. On weekends they close at 2−3pm, which isn’t convenient. The price isn’t bad though.

I have been coming here faithfully for 7 years. I won’t go anywhere else. I joined to avoid the Thirsty men at Bally’s, LA Fitness, Planet Fitness and Blink. Neighborhood competitors. The only thing I would change is the space here. I wish Lucilles were 2 floors. We need more equipment and studio floor space for classes. I love the free classes here. Zumba, Step aerobics, kick boxing, zumba tone, strength training, boot camp. love Malik and Cindy. They really are faithful professionals. Zumba is always a sweat fest and we’ll enjoyed. Malik is a great dancer! Sometimes they have special events like Zumbafest on Saturdays. I love this location. Clean and convenient. Get ready to sweat out a blow out, weave or press ladies !

This isn’t a bad gym, it’s always clean the people who work there are friendly and helpful. However it is small. The equipment is also limited. If you want to use the treadmill, or the ellipticals that’s pretty much it along with the classes. The weekend hours also suck. For 16 a month, you get what you pay for. I used to go to the Astoria location after work. They are a bit bigger with more machines and two floors, but this location is closer to my house. If they expand and get more equipment I would be extremely happy.

I don’t know why this place has such poor reviews. Everyone I’ve encountered has been very helpful & friendly to me as a new gym go-er. The class schedules seem a lil unorganized but you’re allowed to join in when you feel like it. The space is clean, the machines and bathroom are also very clean. I go at different times during the day and I’ve never had to deal with waiting for a machine. There is also a trainer there and the first session with him is free. I think for the measly $ 15 I pay a month this is a really decent place to work on your body.

Instructors are friendly, machines are always clean, and the staff is polite. The girls in the front are always super sweet to me, one night after a late session one of the girls waited until I was completely done with my shower(I was the only one left) without rushing me. Much appreciated :)

I was looking for a gym where I would feel comfortable. I went to Blink and was a member of Bally’s, I realized that I feel more comfortable NOT having men where I workout. The Lucille Roberts Jamaica gym has moved down the street(prior rewiewers please note). The new location is clean and the machines are new. I went in yesterday for member orientation and the trainer never showed. The woman at the desk could not explain how to use the machines, better for her not to give the wrong information. Though the trainer didn’t show up this did not deter me. I sighned up for a free fitness assessment with a trainer. Then I hit the treadmill and elliptical. I was happy to work out. My daughter was with me and she seemed to like it too, but she’s not ready to make a committment. I am bringing my sister today on my guest pass. My $ 16 a month Gold Membership will be maxed out. I am in a diet bet and plan on winning some of the pot.

I havent been to the Jamaica location in years and was shocked to see that it had moved across the street to a bigger site. The new site looked clean and refreshed. I really like how they have the lockers in the same room as the classes. I took two classes on a Friday morning and both classes were packed. The instructor was great and we had an intense workout with some great music. I might have to venture out my hood more and check this location again.

WOW !!! I go to the gym on Myrtle and I could not believe the difference! They had floors, not stinky carpet !!! :( They provide mats for when you go on the floor, the speakers actually work and the music was great! Today was the first time I went and I stayed for 2 classes it was so good. It was so nice and clean compared to Myrtle and the bathrooms were so clean and it didn’t stink!!! It was smaller then what I am used to but it was worth it. My only complain, there is no where to change??? They had a little section to change, I was not very comfortable with that and there was a limited amount of lockers compared to Myrtle. I will keep you guys posted with the other classes. Today I did a remix class, I was sweating my ass off !!! I will find out if the other instructors are as Good !! Let’s work out my Unilocalers!!!

Lucille Roberts is a nice gym. The membership is cheap, nice staff and the facility is clean. They have alot of fun classes that are throughout the day as well. And the instructors help you feel comfortable in their classes too. I enjoy my workout everytime I go there.

Lucille Roberts is the worst gym I’ve ever been a member of. I was lured by the cheap prices. You really get what you pay for at Lucille Roberts. Besides the general over crowding, dirty and old equipment, armature instructors; they could not provide the simple service of having copies of new class schedule for members. Apparently, class schedules are only provided to new members. I’ve been a member for 4 months, only because I was waiting for NYSC to have a sale. But after the class schedule incident I’m canceling my membership.
