This is the second place in New York where I have found a delicious fish ceviche. I never imagined that this restaurant would serve a delicious bowl of ceviche. From the outside this place doesn’t look great and the inside is very simple but the food is so much more than what I was expecting! Their tacu tacu rice is also great.

Maybe ceviche is this restaurant’s specialty but the soups definitely aren’t. I forgot what soup I ordered but it tasted like straight up Lipton soup from a box with a chicken wing thrown in there. Horrible. I also had a pollo saltado and the rice was cold– almost out of the fridge cold. The chicken had good flavor. Then I go to pay and the waitress says it’s CASHONLY. Well, there aren’t any signs that say cash only so be prepared. Definitely will not be back

Great food. being from Peru, I think they have the best ceviche in the Queens area… try the Ceviche and Seco de Cabrito…

Waitstaff was really lovely and patient with us even though we didn’t speak Spanish and they didn’t speak much English. They even gave us a souvenir Christmas ornament when we paid the check! So sweet! Food took a while to make, about 20 minutes, but well worth the wait. Good experience, worth coming back for the service alone. First time having Peruvian cuisine, pretty heavy on the potatoes and onions. Delicious and decent portions, but I would have preferred if the onions were caramelized or cooked longer to take the bite out.

What a wonderful place! Been meaning to go here for a while since reading the Village Voice review. It’s right by the Junction Blvd stop on the 7 and stands out even in a neighborhood filled with great food. First off, it’s a lovely little place with a lime/lemon theme, so it’s cute and colorful in a pleasant and relaxing way. Friendly staff and reasonable prices. I tried the leche de tigre(a legitimately spicy mixed ceviche), which was great. I also had an excellent lamb stew with rice means. Juicy, flavorful and hearty. The menu is interesting and I can’t wait to go back and try their saltados, choros a la chalaca, and tallarines. Don’t miss out on this place, it’s charming and the food is excellent.

Peruvian restaurant that a friend introduced me to. Love the Choros a la chalaca. They tend to put alot of onions on your ceviche so if you are not into that might want to tell them. It normally takes them about 15 – 20 minutes to prepare the food. Most of the menu is below $ 20.

Found this place via a Village Voice review. Opted for the lunch special: Chicken soup with noodles, fried chicken, grilled red onions in sauce, with a side of white rice and sweet potato. Lemonade or tea included. Just $ 7.00, and it was plenty of food. Eager to return and sample their extensive menu. Most entrees run $ 10 – 15. Easy to find. Short ride from Jackson Heights on the 7 train. Great service. Simple dining room.

Small but cute Peruvian restaurant. I had the choros a la chalaca which were slammin, and the ceviche… i have to say that i have pretty high standards for ceviche and to my dismay this one didn’t cut it :( i would however, go back to try their other dishes. other people’s plates looked pretty good :)
