This is my first time having a Russian/East European deli and grocery in my very own neighborhood and it makes me very happy. They have an excellent selection of rye breads in the back and really tasty cheeses from Russia, Lithuania and beyond. The Russian cheese is so much better than the typical American pepperjacks, cheddars, etc.

Every time I come in I find some new treasure. Terrific rye bread, fresh crepes, pickles, and sweets. The staff remember what you like. Wonderful find

Gets even better every time. Fridays they have fresh, hot food; come in the mid-afternoon to have the food as fresh as possible. Come before a party and bring a guaranteed hit. I still need to get into these meats and cheeses.

I love this place. So does my husband. It is pricey, but worth it. Great selection of Eastern European food! I am hoping to make it there tonight to buy some delicious smoked Salmon so that it can go our delicious homemade Russian dinner tonight! Ami

Love it, it’s worth the wait when they get crowded(which they do, especially Fridays). They have great cold cuts and the best Challah in the neighborhood for sale — Steins — not homemade but yummy. What they do have homemade that’s excellent includes: a pita-like bread stuffed with salty cheese, rye bread, chicken cutlets, and various blintzes(the vegetarian mushroom is good). I’m addicted to a hard beef salami called«Jewish salami,» their feta cheese, and it’s also a good place to get smoked fish. Prices are reasonable.

Really terrific Russian deli in the neighborhood. I come here frequently to pick up the essentials — olivya, mushroom salad, pickled tomatoes, and good brown bread. For a small store, they have a large assortment of sweets, canned goods, dry foods, and also deli meats and cheeses. They have a great selection, nice cashier ladies, and it’s worth a stop.

Where can you get sunflower seed bread, lavash, and much needed Russian fare? Right here in this cozy deli on 37th Avenue. You can take the train to Roosevelt Avenue to partake in this Eastern European nosh adventure. I love how helpful and friendly the ladies who work at the counter are. I had so much stuff, and a lady came around and helped me carry it over. Wow! I did buy a lot of delicious salads: mushroom, eggplant, olivye, sauerkraut. All were outstanding! I usually see freshly prepared blintzes made of chicken, mushroom, and berries. There are also plenty of different kinds of breads to try. I also see a huge chocolate collection as you walk in. Along the wall on the shelves, I spy pickled delights, alkaline mineral water, and wafers. I see tea biscuits, jams, and snacks galore. Within the refrigerator in the back on the right hand side, I see kefir, Farmer’s cheese, Russian salads, and frozen pierogies & ravioli. Behind the counter, you can see fruit tarts, cake slices, cheeses from different regions, meats, and sausages. The items are arranged neatly and sometimes have Russian written on them. If you have trouble figuring out what the item is, the ladies will be sure to assist you. I especially prefer coming in on Wednesday, since you get 10% off. It is so worth it! I also love how I walk in and random people give me suggestions on what to get.

STUPIDNOTCOMEHERE! Food is amazing! Chicken & Veal rolls are banging. The beet salad is FANTASTIC as well as their Carrot Salad(has this nice little spicy/citrusy kick to it). Also try the mushroom salad. Not as FANTASTIC but very good non the less. The ladies behind the counter are very welcoming, warm and professional. Just because you don’t come from Mother Russia or Eastern Europe, does not mean you cannot go in there. This little gem in the middle of a highly populated Latino community is a must. Moving forward, The cheese selection is great. The cheese they have(to me) is not so much for«tapas» or finger food but rather for gourmet home made sandwiches. Their meats are also terrific such as, garlic ham, duck, & smoked ham. BOARSHEAD??? GOHOMEROOKIE. Lastly, The pastries: I’ve had all of them, so to make thing easier on you, they are all good. One in particular although not quite a pastry, this Russian ice cream cake. Holy Sh*t!!! Spanish people, Take a break from eating rice and beans, plus a portion of meat the size of a baby, and what ever comes along with this typical dish. EXPLORE. visit Mother Russia in your very own neighborhood. FIN.

Stopped in on a Monday for rye bread. They had on the counter what looked like homemade food. I had a perogie and the fish! So tasty and felt like I was having a homemade meal! The staff is so nice and recommends great stuff. So happy I found this place.
