Lemon cupcake was stale. Chicken corn chowder had neither chicken or corn. Just a few potatoes and carrots. Not worth the money.

Came here for a coffee after dinner and was pleasantly surprised. The ambiance was so nice and welcoming. If I lived closer, I would come here every day for a coffee and to relax. There is seating downstairs with couches and tables, as well as, and upstairs quieter sitting area. The lighted spiral staircase adds a wonderful touch. I ordered a mocha latte and it tasted absolutely delicious! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for some good coffee/espresso and a nice place to unwind!

Nice little coffee shop. A good place to work or hang out. I liked my hot chocolate. The pastries are too expensive for this area though, more than in downtown Boston.

Cute eclectic place… a bit pricey for Putnam but the food was very good. Stopped in for a cappuccino, slice of bacon quiche & an apple turnover… Cost $ 15. The quiche & turnover were microwave warmed prior to serving. The late morning atmosphere was fairly quiet so I sat on the comfy couch & people watched during breakfast. The baristas knew & addressed regulars by name which was a friendly touch of service. Overall a very pleasant experience!

Victoria Station is at the center of the one trendy area in all of rural Windham County, Connecticut. I don’t know why such an area exists given that there’s not really any colleges, universities, or industries requiring a lot of education nearby. Maybe Putnam is a breeding ground for what the Marxist Antonio Gramsci called«organic intellectuals.» In effect, Putnam is where hipsters meet the rural culture that inspires their rustic nostalgia. Thankfully, Victoria Station is actually a pretty decent coffee shop. Even from the perspective of someone who doesn’t drink coffee. They serve pretty excellent desserts, and they provide a place to procure the birch beer that I just can’t find in fancy-pants West Coast city home. Summary: Authentic rustic.

Putnam is a lovely little town and this cute café was just delightful. There’s outdoor seating, two levels and a great selections of tea and coffee flavors. They have baked goods, soups, sandwiches and snacks made to order. I ordered a tuna wrap. Honestly, the wrap had a bit too much tuna for such a thin carb as a wrap. We removed some of the tuna salad and asked for crackers to finish it up and they gave them to us, no problem. Could also have used more celery and maybe onions for a little more crunch, but that’s personal preference. We had a delicious coffee cake/muffin. So sweet, but not overwhelming. Paired so well with tea and coffee. The restaurant is right on the corner giving you a great view of most of downtown Putnam. They also carry doggie treats. If it wasn’t so far, we’d definitely go back.

Always a pleasure to stop in and see all the friendly faces. Their lattes are outstanding and the sweets are to die for.

A nice little place with a shabby chic décor. Counter service only. Coffee, tea, steamed milk and cappuccino all served in mismatched mugs. The lunch menu didn’t have anything for a gluten free vegetarian, but my husband enjoyed the cranberry chicken salad wrap. A good place to come when you need a place to hang for a while.

wonderful local business with neat drinks and decent food. very homey versus the rather sterile coffee chain shops. you can linger and linger in a totally relaxed environment. a definite hangout place to work online or meet up with friends to visit and chat.

Great spot in downtown Putnam Ct. Service has been excellent all 3 times we have gone. Desserts are good… Not great. It’s not Mike’s Pastry but a nice little treat in Putnam. You can sit outside or inside. My only complaint is from tonight’s visit. Thought it would great to go and sit outside but when we got there a production group from Bradley’s Theatre in Putnam took up every sit outside doing a read through. What was amazing was only a few of them had drinks. Not happy!

This is how a coffee house should be. Soft comfy chairs & sofas, piano player, unique menu choices, pastries made in house. Starbucks needs to sit down.

I love this place! The environment is so cozy, and the drinks and desserts are awesome. I’m a little bummed today finding that they gave me a cupcake instead of a different dessert I ordered(and I did not realize this until opening the box at home). A little annoyed about it just because it was kind of a wait to get my order taken in the first place… but i’m still going to be back all the time because this place is great.

I came here while visiting friends, and when I come to CT again, I will definitely stop in here for a drink. I got the sappy chai, and it was the best chai I’ve ever had.

Stopped by earlier this evening and got coffee and some sweet treats for when I got home. The chocolate cupcake and the Magic Bar[?] were really amazing! Really satisfied my craving for sweets and more importantly, chocolate! Will definitely have to make a point to stop by on my next day trip over there!

A wonderful coffee house. Great pastries and the specialty coffee I am not one for sweet things, but I’m hooked on the lobster tail, croissant pastry with cream filling.

i have been to victoria station a few times. this one and the other one, you know. the train station one. the coffee here has always been pretty good and the pastry i have had was always ok, but for what it costs the quality should be higher. they have little desserts for $ 9 here. super cute town too if you are passing thru and need coffee(i didnt even see a DD or a *bux within miles). The train station one has a worse selection of coffee, but be on the look out for tea. bonus: they have a dog bakery section. not bonus: i drove through the woods to get here and i am in a somewhat rural area but this place is full of annoying pushy selfish people.(not the staff)

Love it here! If I ever opened a café I would put couches in it. Well wouldn’t ya know it, they have couches and arm chairs and the expected café chairs. Very cute shabby chic interior. I’ve had decafe mochas, muffins and cannolis. All very good. Service is just okay. You order, they serve you, that’s it. No complaints. All kinds of coffee drinks and seasonal specialty coffee concoctions. Love the big mugs they serve it in. They have lots of pastries and muffins to choose from including gluten free options. However, the gluten free options are off to the far side of the case and you won’t know they are there. Don’t understand why they hide those. The gluten free selection is very minimal on a Monday, but gets better during the week. Great hassle free wifi. If you need to plug in, sit at the tables in the back where all the outlets are. Great place to get done work done when you need wifi. Their patio is so, well, cute. Nicely decorated with real tables and no ugly white plastic chairs. A very inviting space.

Great little place. Well, not too little. Loots of fresh pastries, savory and sweet. Coffee and frufru drink selection is pretty good. Interior is fantastic. Prices are comparable to SB, so nothing too drastic. So Bob, you may be asking, why only 3 stars? Well here is the deal. I went to the counter and order my coffee. Large coffee, 1 splenda and HEAVYCREAM. I was very specific and, she repeated it back. Then she proceeded to pour Half and Half into my coffee. So Half and Half is NOT heavy cream mush the same way 1% is not really milk. Or better yet, Silk is not Mike. In fact, Heavy Cream is not milk. Half and Half is… half milk. So if you don’t carry it(and why would a bakery carry cream, how silly) then just tell me you don’t carry it. And yes, they is why it is a 3. And yes, it is worth the tirade. Why, because either she just game me the ‘wrong’ order or she just does not listen to her customers.
