Fried California made my stomach happy and my heart clogged. It’s good but definitely a heavier meal. I wasn’t blown away.

I’ve come to sushi burrito a great deal and I’m always happy with how it straddles the line between a light meal and a hearty one. Less appreciated though is the excellent tempura which is some of the best I’ve had in the States. They also will fry any sushi burrito if you ask which makes the nori wrap much easier to bite through.

These sushi burritos are awesome and seem to be quite fresh. The location is the only problem, kind of a random weird spot. If you like sushi you will love this. A nice little change, not necessarilly to replace normal sushi but a good little switchup.

I’ve appreciated all three trips I’ve taken here. You can’t ever go wrong with tempura, which is a dollar extra or something and is definitely worth it.

This was my first time going. I was craving sushi with my family, and had been recommended this place. Well, other than that it is in a little corner of a small plaza and that it is really tight, 4 tables with 4 seats each, the place is SUPERB. Starving I received my 2 suchi rolls in Less than 8 minutes. The amount of food packed in the roll for $ 8.99 is enough to be two full rolls at any other suchi place for twice the price. I can’t complain. The owners are from Mongolia, super kind people, I loved it. GETTHEVEGASROLL

I had been anticipating my first sushi burrito since reading an article about them a few months ago. Sushi Burrito Utah did not disappoint. Had the Vegas roll. Great sushi taste, with a burrito eating feel! I would choose a sushi burrito over a sushi roll anytime! Didn’t ask, but would be better if you could build your own burrito instead of choosing from the ~10 burritos on the menu.

So Im giving this location a chance to redeem the previous review I wrote on the sushi burrito location in WJordan. Sorry to disagree with the 4 and 5 star ratings here. Im giving them a 2 star review. Let me explain… 1. Employees here do not smile at all. I was looking at their menu on board and there was just silence. No recommendations whatsoever nor they asked if I had been here before. Employee knew I was walking out the door after receiving my order and they didnt even hold the door for me. No thanks for coming, no eye contact, no nothing. 2. Their sushi burrito is disappointing! There were so much rice and veggies and hardly any fish. They put so much sweet teriyaki sauce that it completely drenched the whole burrito. 3. The sushi rice tasted like grocery sushi. 4. The worst was their hamachi. It tasted so fishy. Not fresh at all. I really dont understand why you would make a perfectly simple food like sushi into something spectacular. It just doesnt work. And if you attempt to do so… Pay some respect to the sushi Gods and serve quality fish.

Great concept, good quality. This place is a nice casual spot to grab a quick bite. The burritos are similar to sushi hand rolls, except much bigger. The rolls range between $ 7 – 10. We felt like the value was incredible for the amount of fresh fish. The staff was super friendly, and helped us with some options as they recognized we were Sushi Burrito first timers. We ended up with the Cougar roll. It is really really filling. My only complaint is that, as some other reviewers noted, it is very difficult to eat on account of the seaweed and overly large pieces of fish. I think if the fish was cut into smaller pieces and maybe served with a fork and knife, it would be a little more enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back here and try ALLOFTHEROLLS!

It’s a bigger, non-cut sushi roll and will taste just as good, if not better than what you’ll pay at any of the sushi restaurants anywhere in Utah County. They cover just about all the varieties in their menu with 13 rolls and even have a veggie option(Buddha roll). Each roll is $ 8-$ 10 and one will do you just fine. Cougars, Vegas and Citrus are highly recommended. Its a small place with about 5 tables so don’t go expecting to be swooned by a great atmosphere. They’re good at what they do and keep it simple. Love it!

Sushi Burrito is so good! It’s one of the best places out in Provo to get FRESH sushi! The rolls without raw fish are great too. The California Sumo is my favorite.

Sushi Burrito. Great! Why? Because it’s not even real sushi and they don’t try to be. They took a concept and ran with it. It’s not 5 stars because I’m sure ingredients could be much better but! It definitely deserves a try. My recommendations: Cougar Cosmo Citrus Boom.

This was ALMOST good. We went as a group of sushi lovers, but decided we’d prefer sushi over this when we were finished. It’s just awkward in a couple ways: 1. Difficult to eat because you have to tear through the seaweed. 2. The fish is in big chunks(gross) and it is also difficult to bite into without it all coming out and falling everywhere. 3. I think it would be better if the burrito was thinner or the fish inside was cut to more bite size pieces or came with knives and it wasn’t prepared as fast food… idk I’m not sure I would go back as things are now. Like I said, it has all of the good ingredients for tasty food(because I love sushi) but it wasn’t prepared in an appetizing way.

Every city I visit, I make it a point to check out the local sushi place. I stopped here while in the area visiting a client after finding it on Unilocal. Décor — sparse and somewhat«dive like», 2 out of 5 Service — friendly and had great sense of humor, 5 out of 5 Food — tasty, fresh and creative, 4 out of 5 Value — worth the price, 4 out of 5

I debated between 3 and 4 stars for a few reasons… My husband and my burritos took about 30 – 40 minutes which seemed a little lengthy for what it is. I got the California sumo roll and it was really great, my husband got the citrus roll because he loves lemon on his sushi. It came with a HUGE cut of fish on it, it was impossible for him to bite through so he had to take the fish out of the roll and cut it into pieces and add it to each bite, total pain. I let him eat the other half of mine and he loved it. So I would say our experience here was 50⁄50.

I know I say this a lot but my first experience at Sushi Burrito was fine. Just fine. It wasn’t bad. It wasn’t good. Just fine. I ordered a Buddha roll in soy paper through Unilocal for pickup and it was ready when I got there, which was fantastic since I was on a bit of a time crunch. I brought it back to work and ate it up. It was exactly what I expected. Essentially it’s a giant sushi roll that you eat like a burrito. The Buddha roll is vegetarian. Tempura yams, lettuce, avocado, tomato, carrot, lettuce, and tofu,(and I asked for no cucumber cuz yuck). My yams were perhaps on the al dente side but overall it was a good light lunch. Nothing I would rave about, but I’ll probably give it another try.

This is the most amazing place! I didn’t know what to expect when I pulled up to this little place but it blew my socks off! I ordered online and it was done right when I walked in to pick it up. I will be back!

Didn’t know what to expect(sushi burrito) when my cousin suggested this place to eat. We will definitely come again. We got the #2 #3 #6 #13 and they did not disappoint. Staff is very friendly.

Okay, I wanted to LOVE Sushi Burrito so bad that I wanted to give it a 5 star before I even walked in the door, but it just didn’t do it for me. I love sushi so much, the first thing I do when I go to a new city is figure out the best sushi place in town. The reason why I didn’t love Sushi Burrito is because they line the entire outside of the roll in seaweed, when 99.9% of sushi places roll it with rice on the outside. I like the taste of seaweed, but I don’t want my entire roll to only taste like seaweed. The first thing that hits your pallet is seaweed so that’s basically all you taste. The one bite that I just ate the inside of the roll, tasted super good, but other than that it just wasn’t that good to me. It was a waste of flavor on the inside because it got overpowered. I got the citrus roll, maybe there’s better ones? It was only my first time here so maybe I’ll give it another shot. The reason why I didn’t give less stars is because maybe a lot of people like this style of sushi. But if it’s up to personal preference, this style of sushi is just not my thing.

First time here yesterday, stopped by just to get something to go. Staff was friendly, environment was clean and warm. Not a whole lot of seating but I don’t mind. It’s a great grab and go place. Food was fresh, I got the cougar by recommendation from the staff. Tasty, full of flavor. Going back again real soon, maybe even today.

A sushi burrito made me skeptical, however it did exceed my expectations and was pretty good. I don’t personally think it lives up to all the hype around it, but it is a good quick meal that you probably won’t be disappointed by. It isn’t a place, though, that makes me feel like i MUST go back for more. Worth a try, and maybe you’ll enjoy it more than i did… many others seem to like it a lot. Suggestion: get your sushi burrito deep fried tempura style. It adds nice crispiness and additional flavor.

I love so many things about Sushi Burrito, but it’s not completely without its faults. I’ll begin with the good, because frankly, there’s so much of it, and it greatly outweighs anything that needs improvement. I love that I can basically get an entire sushi roll for 8 bucks. I love that the fish — even in Provo — seems consistently fresh. I love that I can walk in and out with a Sushi Burrito within 10 minutes, even when it’s busy. I love that they’re open on Sunday. People love raw fish on Sundays. I love that I can order it online, and swing past to pick it up. It’s quick. I love that they offer edamame, miso, seaweed salad, and many other sushi resto standards. I love that they have non-sushi options on their relatively small menu, because my non-sushi eating friends go there with me! I love that I can get any roll wrapped in soy paper for $ 1.00. SO worth it. I love that damn Cosmo roll. I love the service with a smile I always get here. There’s probably more, but you get the idea… Now, really the only thing I don’t like here is the location. There are simply not enough parking spots, and the ones there are just aren’t big enough. If I’m in the truck, it’s ugly. In fact, I’ve starting bypassing Sushi Burrito if the parking lot looks full, or … if I’m in the truck. It’s that bad. All in all, I’m so glad SB is in the hood. I rely on it to get a quick sushi fix whenever I need it. Which is pretty often.

Fast food type sushi restaurant and it’s delicious! It’s pretty much a giant sushi roll that is cut in half instead of little piece and oh boy is it amazing!

I finally stopped by this place after having tried Chiba Sushi in American Fork. If you’ve been there, this place is almost exactly like that in terms of offerings. I am infatuated with Chiba’s food, so I was ever eager to try out this place just down the street from my work. The staff was not so friendly as I’d hoped. It almost seemed as if we were putting them out for being there, even though it was rime lunching hour. Our food came out fast, however. I ordered the Citrus, which came with salmon, lemon, avocado, crab salad, rice, and cucumber. It was a bit soggy in the middle(edible, but not an ideal consistency), and the lemon still had the rind attached. Both of my comrades thoroughly enjoyed their burritos, having ordered the Salmon Bomb(comes with bacon!) and Cougars. I think I’d try this place again, but if I were placed equidistant between this place and Chiba, I’d go for the latter.

Walked in to meet some unfriendly employees who seemed like I was bothering them because now they had to make something. I tried the California bomb and while some of the first bites were good their seemed to be far to many bites that were just rice, seaweed, and the deep fried shell. Ill have to visit and give something else a try, as for now it seems like a great idea with a lot of potential just poorly executed.

I was driving around trying to find a quick bite to eat before my haircut that wasn’t fast food, and I am SO glad I found Sushi Burrito! I’ve heard about the concept for awhile now and had been excited to try it out. Their menu isn’t huge, but there’s still a great amount of variety(plus teriyaki/bento for non-sushi eaters). I decided on the Citrus, which is salmon, crab salad, lemon, lettuce, avocado, and cucumber with eel sauce and ponzu. The fish was very fresh and the flavors were all delicious. I REALLY liked it a lot. The only downside is that it’s pretty messy to eat(or maybe I’m just a slob), so be prepared for that. I live closer to the West Jordan location, but I’ll definitely frequent this one when I’m visiting friends in Utah county. This is a must-try for sure!
