I recently left a poor review for Providence Calzone because a delivery driver left food outside when my phone was off. I love their food, so I gave in and ordered again today online. Right away I got a call from PC asking about my poor review, and what they could do to make it better. I really appreciate the customer service, so I’m changing my review. I’m waiting on the food right now, but I’m sure it will be great as always.

Pizza was ready quicker than expected and piping hot. Good toppings, cheap, and friendly service. A good deal

So I kept getting these take out menus delivered at my apartment for this place. So one night we decided to try it out and see if the food was any good. I ordered an Italian sub with everything on it including hots and my fiancée ordered a cheeseburger sub with pickles and hots. They said it would be an hour for delivery and we aren’t that far from this place. I was a little surprised as it was a wednesday night but we were okay with waiting. The subs finally arrived in about 45 minutes. First off the subs both arrived hot and that was a good thing. But I was highly disappointed in my Italian sub. The bread was toasted but almost burnt in some parts. Also they used very lousy cold cuts and it was only two kinds. All in all I was not impressed and probably would never order an Italian sub from Providence Calzone again. My fiancée’s cheeseburger sub tasted okay as well. He stated that he had better. When I tried a bite I agreed as I felt like it was missing something but I couldn’t put my finger on it. All in all the food was okay. I won’t be rushing to order from them again but might be willing to try and order calzones as they seem to have some interesting choices listed on their menu.

Stupendously awful. Wish we had checked Unilocal before ordering. Ordered large order for delivery for a birthday party in the office. We actually sent out a search party — NOTKIDDING — in our building to find the delivery guy. He called our # 3 different times to find us, but was argumentative and non-responsive to questions. He actually hung up on me once! We tried calling the restaurant to see if they could communicate with him better than we had been able to and they didn’t answer the phone THREEDIFFERENTCALLS — no answer! We ordered two of their«Specialty Pizzas» — one Veggie, one Supreme. Everything about the pizza was bad. Simply everything! We threw one whole pizza away. Bad sauce, bready crust, inferior toppings. Also ordered salads — one Greek, one House — which were also a disappointment. The iceberg lettuce was browning, not enough salad dressing, chunks of pepper and onion that were so large they were difficult to eat. How can a place like this exist on Federal Hill? I predict they will be out of business VERYSOON!

Horrible customer service. Ordered 2 small calzones online using the website on the front of their flyer. After an hour and twenty minutes I called, gave our address including apartment number and was told the order was already on the way. After another twenty five minutes, I called again to be told that the order was never received by them because their website wasn’t working, but I could place an order if I like. I said forget it and that I am not ordering from them ever again. Ridiculous!

Ordered a chicken wrap and a chicken parm calzone on Foodler and it was delivered 5 mins before the estimated delivery time. Food was delicious and just the right temperature. Glad to have another place to order take-out from.

Ok, so I’m trying to branch out in my pizza consumption and so far it’s going terribly. I found Providence Calzone on and figured I’d give it a shot. I ordered a small white calzone(mozzarella, ricotta, romano and fresh garlic) and a slice of red velvet cake to be delivered. The calzone would be good if not for the amount of garlic inside — it’s ridiculous. I like garlic, I use it regularly when I cook at home, but this was just too much. After taking a few bites and feeling my mouth start to burn I opened up the calzone to find what must be at least 20 cloves of garlic, minced and mixed in with the cheese. It’s pretty much inedible and I’m saying this after working 12 hours and not having eaten since breakfast. Next up was the red velvet cake. The frosting is delicious, I’ll say that and the cake is alright. The main problem: it’s frozen. I’m not talking like a once frozen cake that’s been heated up, no this cake is STILL frozen. I can’t actually finish eating it because most of the slice is frozen solid. I’m actually wondering if this is some kind of sick joke. Last but not least, delivery took almost an hour and I’m less than a mile from the restaurant.
