We were really impressed with this place. Our server(Justin) is passionate about meads and shared his excitement with us. We ordered the flight which is an excellent way to experience all of the flavors. A great change of pace from the usual wine bars or breweries. There was a one man band starting when we had just finished.

Excellent, excellent, excellent! Great drinks. Unique experience. Such a cool vibe. Unilocal says it’s not good for children but they were so accommodating to ours. They have peanut butter and jelly, grilled cheese, etc. if you need to feed the kiddos. An even better experience though if your sans kids(but isn’t that every restaurant?)

What a neat concept! The basement makes for a great setting. We did the mead flight, so got to taste all the varieties. Some were interesting. Most were good. We had the cheese plate as a snack and it was the perfect amount to compliment the mead.

This place was great! Was camping in Prescott and headed into town for some R&R. The place is actually downstairs which creates a very cool(literally) and chill vibe. Super friendly staff, very helpful, answered all our questions. Next time I will definitely going back for a flight!

We decided to stop by Superstition tasting room after trying one of their meads at the State Bar in Flagstaff. It was my first time ever drinking mead and I was hooked! we tried a flights of all the mead. Our favorites were the limited release warhoney and the regular blackhorn. Unfortunately they were not in bottle =(We will definitely come back !

I had never even heard of mead until a friend showed me this hidden treasure! Located underneath a shop on Gurley Street, this meadery is perfect place to hang out and have great drinks and food. I love the vibe!

This place is FABULOUS!!! We have tried a lot of Meads and this place has THEBEST! Hands down! The atmosphere has a great Speakeasy feel, the product is better than any you have anywhere else. If you have never had mead(honey wine) before, I recommend their tasting flight which goes from dry to sweet and gives you a perfect idea of what mead can do. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable, always willing to help and talk shop. I can’t speak enough about this place. So when you are in Prescott, come here!!!

This is a hidden gem in the little town of Prescott. In a town of western knick knacks, bar food and whiskey row. We were happy to find this Meadery in the cellar on Gurley street. The mead at this establishment is award winning and voted BESTINTHEWORLD! Pretty cool to be experiencing the world’s oldest fermented beverage in this chic location. The décor of a live wood edge bar and industrial modern was a welcome change of pace. We experienced a flight and I loved getting a chance to try a small taste of all the amazing flavors. my favorite was the«Tahitian Honeymoon» and the«Safeword». The«Tiki Tickler» was also a delight with its caramelized beet sugar and coconut flavors. When in Prescott be sure to check out Superstition. very cool spot! Nest time we go, I am excited to try the charcuterie and the chocolate appetizer. Oh & Happy Hour is M-F 4−6pm!

What a fabulous surprise! I totally want to go check this place out when I go back to Prescott. It was fun to get to taste and explore stuff. I was surprised that this was downstairs. More people need to check it out. I wish I could have taken some home but it is very expensive stuff! The worker was knowledgable but very busy, it would have been nice to have more interaction with him on the tasting.

4 stars for the concept and atmosphere… One star for the bitchy old lady who seems to own these shops. Seriously though, came with a group of 10, left 5 minutes later after the owner started being extremely rude. Too bad, this place could have been awesome if it didn’t have an owner with an attitude problem

Tried this place out using a Groupon. Loved the atmosphere and service. I even liked some of the tastings. Unfortunately, Mead is not for me. That being said I think everyone should try it at least once in their lifetime.

A great experience in Prescott! Came here after picking up some lovely spices upstairs and was not disappointed. Normally when visiting Prescott I go to the brewery, but this will be my go-to place from now on. Pros: really intimate feeling location cute decorations excellent staff good knowledge on mead(which I didn’t have) nice sampler and didn’t upsell two samplers for two people. One was a perfect split mead to go great nibbles to compliment the wine Cons: it was a bit more expensive than a couple of beers, but worth it a bit chilly at the bar with the a/c blowing on you, so dress appropriately All in all, this should be a must try on a visit to the area!

We stopped here because I had bought a Groupon for 10 tastings and a shareable plate for $ 25. Neither my hubby or I had ever tasted mead before so we weren’t sure what to expect. We were both extremely pleased. The 10 tasting ran the gamut from grapefruit to belgian flavored to blueberry to cherry. We also tried their blueberry cider that has been rated as the best cider in the world. I can concur that the cider is amazing. We both enjoyed the charcuterie plate and the various meats and mustard that came on it. The server was extremely knowledgeable about Superstition Meadery as well as beer and wine. We greatly enjoyed our experience. Make sure to take a stroll through the store above the meadery for local and artisanal food.

Amazing meadery! Has lots of varieties of Mead. Staff is knowledgeable about the Mead and the production of it. If I lived closer I’d go more. It’s in a great location and is easy to sit back and hang with your friends for a few hours. Love this place!

Back a year later. Still delicious. The pumpkin and maple meades are great seasonal offerings. This year’s mix of Meade and Pinot Grigio(Snow on Mt. Olympus) is potent and tasty.

I love this place. The atmosphere is fantastic. I love that once you walk down the stairs, there are no clocks and in its intimate interior, you can forget the time away. Justin is knowledgable and extremely considerate & friendly. A couple of friends and I went in there during the afternoon and it was very enjoyable. The bar tender was friendly & personable. It’s a great venue for private events like birthday celebrations, anniversary parties, etc. I can’t wait to come back!

This place is just so cool in every sense of the word. We visited twice in the 4 days we were out in Prescott for vacation. Justin was very nice and knowledgeable as we sampled one of each mead. I know we’d be here every weekend(or more) if we lived in town. We happened to be walking along the sidewalk, and I saw the sign on the sidewalk and was instantly interested especially since they make a tasty cider as well. After lunch, we popped down to the«basement» to try one of each mead. Our favorite was the Marion Mead. The sparkling is awesome too, but you can only get it by the glass at the moment. Honestly, I feel fortunate to have noticed it and stopped here. The tasting room is very cozy with«puffy» stools and chairs. The bar itself is a beautiful wood plank(not sure what kind). If you don’t try the Tears of the Sun cocktail(made with the Lagrimas), then you are just letting the best in life pass you by. For the record, I don’t «typically» like meads, but CLEARLY I have not had the proper experience or good ones, for that matter. Superstition Meadery took care of that! We went home with pretty much the entire store, but I already can’t wait to go back!
