I thought I would give Anne’s Kitchen a try for breakfast on Monday while my kids were taking a class across the street at Adventure Park. The place is VERY small, but we didn’t have to wait. The service was quick and polite. Our food came out almost exactly as ordered, we only had one issue with toast, but it wasn’t enough to complain. It was hot, well cooked and very tasty. Bacon was a tad greasy for my liking, but hash brown casserole was FAB! Prices were outstanding. Overall our breakfast for 3 was quick, tasty and pretty darn cheap.

Just took my girls for the first time this morning, and everything was delicious. Went at 10:30 an a weekday, so it wasn’t crowded. My western omelette was perfectly cooked… the caramelized veggies were the bomb. Love the small, old school diner vibe. Will definitely be back soon.

Small place that can get crowded. If the weather isn’t pleasant, have a backup plan because there is very little room inside to wait for a table. We’ve been there before when it was understaffed, and our food took a really long time to arrive. When adequately staffed the food is prompt. Staff is always very friendly and helpful. I generally enjoy the food — the breakfast sausage is quite good. The over easy eggs can come out medium though. Overall I’m glad Anne’s Kitchen is here, and I hope they stick around.

I generally get the breakfast bowl. It’s always cooked beautifully and its big. I hate skimpy breakfasts, lol. We’ve been to ALOT of breakfast places. Even the Hilton sucks. They never have consistency and charge a fortune. Nor have the original professional chef. And it’s bad service. Just visit Anne’s and contribute to family owned businesses. The owner cooks your food and works really hard. I recommend this place for breakfast. I have not… tried it much for lunch. So, I can only review for breakfast

I’ve been here twice for breakfast. Both times the service was very slow and took over 45+ minutes to get food. The first time we were served burnt pancakes. The 2nd time we looked around and noticed many customer’s pancakes were burnt. We asked if we could have the pancakes lightly cooked to which the server responded«I’ll see if I can get the grill to cooperate.»(WHAT?) About 50 minutes later our food arrived and the bottoms of the pancakes were burnt. If the food was great I wouldn’t mind waiting for it. But 45 minutes for burnt pancakes? We also ordered ham and bacon, which was fine. I can’t recommend this place. They need to fix the service and grill.

Absolutely delicious food and very friendly service! Had the Breakfast Burger and fried potatoes. My fiancée had the Breakfast Bowl. We absolutely loved our meals. If you want some fresh, family cooked food definitely stop by this small place in Powell, Ohio.

It’s small. Hard to find seating at any time on the weekend. Tables are always dirty, and service is poor at best. Their food is pretty basic, but good.

This was our fourth visit to this restaurant. Today the lunch special was fried chicken and my wife said that it was excellent. This store is small but the quality of the food is equal to some of the best in the area. The size of the menu, selections available, is very large and reaches out to most customers. I am sure the weekends are very busy so if you have a lot of time it is worth the wait. I almost forgot to mention the prices are very affordable.

Good spot for breakfast but if the place is full you might have to wait on out in the car, there’s just no room for waiting on a table to free up. But that’s what you get for trying to sneak breakfast in at 11 am, when the place opens at like 6 am. I tried the french toast at two bucks a toast, it was decent. The waffles were good. Biscuits and sausage gravy was tasty and filing. I think I’d have to go with the burrito’s on a return trip.

We had our first dining experience here this morning. After reading previous reviews, I saw that some were very good and there were also plenty of others that were not so great. I figured it was worth giving it a try. We arrive right at opening time and were the second people in the door for the day. People were friendly but only two people were working when we got there. The same person that took our order and brought us our food was the one who then went back to the kitchen to cook the food. She was friendly but service was compromised as she can’t cook and waitress simultaneously. The other gentlemen that works there just stood behind the counter and talked most of the time we were there. Food was served promptly. I ordered scrambled eggs with cheese and spinach along with biscuits, gravy, ham and hash brown casserole. Eggs were excellent but the rest of the meal tasted much like prepared food from the restaurant supply store. Not that it was that bad but rather it just wasn’t that good. Two waitresses started work right before we were ready to leave. The service level improved tremendously with their arrival. I would suggest having at least one of them scheduled to work at opening time. My conclusion is it is ok, hence the three stars. To be great step up the service and find a way to step up the breakfast sides. For breakfast simple foods that are well prepared are always a hit.

We stopped by after a float session nearby ready for brunch! It was about an hour from closing time so the crowd wasn’t too bad. There were plenty of parking spots avail as the restaurant is in a strip area. We walked in and we were seated right away… pick your seat type do place! Our waitress took our order — the item I originally wanted was no longer avail so I went with a tex mex omelet. As we waited for our food I glanced around the diner type setting… the ladies who ran the place looked busy but on top of things! The décor is diner style. A few bar chairs. Indoor seating. And an outdoor patio. The crowd seemed to be mostly locals. The menu was simple… breakfast and lunch items. Our food arrived quickly and as with any place that serves breakfast… I tend to judge them by their biscuits… and the two perfectly warm and fresh biscuits on my plate did not disappoint! The omelet was perfectly cooked and filled with great veggies that had a hit of char on them from the grill. We also ordered a fruit bowl… mixture of delicious fresh fruit. The hash browns — cooked how I asked them… extra crisp. We cleared our plates, paid our modest check and went on our way! This is a no frills type of place… the food is great, service is quick, and the setting is homey. A nice surprise in the Powell area. I’d love to go back and check out the rest of their menu.

After picking up some vegetables at the Powell farmer’s market, I stopped in here for some brunch. It was fairly busy, but there seemed to be adequate staff, but they were poorly organized. Everyone was just rushing around willy-nilly without much rhyme or reason, and so things and people were getting missed. I sat at the bar, directly in front of multiple servers who were constantly(as I said) rushing back and forth. Despite this, having sat down at 10:50, it took until 11:10 before someone took my order. I sat with an empty coffee cup for twenty minutes. I had a clear view into the kitchen, which was messy and unappealing(I get that most restaurants order from suppliers, but it doesn’t make me feel like I’m eating a home-cooked meal when I watch the cook spoon potatoes out of a giant GFS bag). I didn’t get my food until 11:35. I ordered an egg scramble with cheese, spinach and mushrooms, which came with hashbrown casserole and ham. The eggs were undercooked and tasteless, and it tasted like they’d just tossed some plain spinach in there. The hashbrown casserole seemed to just be hashbrowns and cheese, and it was also undercooked(some of the potatoes were almost crunchy). The ham was gristly. I have to wonder about how the kitchen is being run when there’s constant confused shouting between the servers about who’s doing what. In a well-run kitchen, everyone knows their job and does it.

Let me start by saying everyone is very nice. The service was okay, I really think they need to hire on a couple extra people. They were busy, but it’s a small place. It took about 45 minutes to get our food which I had a hard time understanding. The bacon was good and crispy, but very greasy-but hey, it’s bacon. My fiancé got the pancakes and they were pretty good. I ordered the cream chipped beef(my favorite breakfast meal) and extra crispy hash browns. The cream chipped beef was… very much far from good. It wasn’t bad tasting, but it was disappointing to say the least. My hash browns, were not only not extra crispy-but they were almost undercooked. The coffee tasted like water. Most of my over easy eggs over cooked. If you go here, definitely shoot for the pancakes from my experience. Won’t be back for breakfast, but they were super friendly so we may try them for lunch sometime

This place is definitely hidden away but was worth a visit. The inside is pretty nice and the décor was pretty standard diner. We ordered sausage gravy, hash browns, eggs, and a fruit bowl. Everything was super tasty and you definitely get plenty of food. The service was attentive and cheerful. I think I had my coffee refilled three times without asking. Definitely a great breakfast or lunch spot in Powell.

What a delightful hidden gem! The food was very good, staff was very cheerful and the décor was very cute –diner-ish! My husband had a BLT, best he’s had in a long time and I had the fried green tomato omelette which was very unique and delicious. We plan to come back here more often!

I work in Powell, so we went to this place for lunch one day. While they seem like great people, I wouldn’t recommend this place for lunch. They were very busy that day and the one(early 20 something) that was waiting tables was clearly flustered and was taking it out on the customers. The gfood was simply ok. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was just barely cooked enough to be considered done. All this said, I will still give this place another shot for breakfast. The breakfast sandwich special seems like a great deal for a quick grab and go breakfast.
