Very friendly and fast service. There was a mistake with the mileage charge but the owner was very accommodating and fixed it quickly. This is a family owned and operated business and they treated me like family. I originally came to this location l, which is further from my home, because they had the size truck I needed. Now I’ll be back just because of the outstanding service. I tried leaving a top but would not accept it and said «my tip is your thanks and repel eat business.» … Awesome!

Sam and his wonderful wife Mary were so good to us. My husband arranged all the details for the trip. He and Sam talked many times on the phone. Sam made sure we had a safe truck for we were traveling from California to Canada. We were so impressed by him that this is the actually second time we used his services for very long distance moves.
He held to his promises and we respect him for doing so. We felt as if he were a true friend not just a customer. He is honest and clearly puts his heart and his passion into what he does.
Also because he is an independent dealer you will get a much better deal from him than you will find at the other big official Uhaul office on Poway Road in Poway. Support a hard working independent — see Sam !!!

This was the most amazing moving experience! I rented a trailer & it was too small. Sam promptly found me a truck even though he didn’t have one and got me traded out in no time. He even called me while I was on my way from San Diego to Oregon to make sure everything was going alright. If I ever need any Uhaul rental again no matter where I am Sam is the man I will call. Excellent customer service!

Amazing people! Sam was a delight to buy from, and did everything he could to get me all set up for my move to San Francisco. Even threw in a couple moving goodies for free! 5 stars, 10/​10, whatever metric you want to use. If I ever need a uhaul around San Diego again, this is where I’m going to get it from.

We had a great experience with Sam! We recently moved from a rental property and asked Sam for a recommendation for movers. He recommended Tony and Adrian for our move. They were both fantastic! They arrived early and treated our belongings with great care. They were respectful of our time and did an excellent job all around.

I had the unfortunate experience of encountering «Sam» this evening to return my U-​Haul trailer. My contracted drop off location was the U-​Haul at 13 530 Pomerado Road, Poway, CA. I arrived at 4:30pm today with the trailer and equipment. Sam advised me that his lot was full and he would not accept the trailer. I asked him what I should do since the contact said the trailer was to be returned at his location. He told me not his problem and offered no further assistance – he needs customer service training in a bad way. I asked him for some type of proof that I was there and he could not accommodate the return. He impolitely declined and waived some letter from the City of Poway about his overcapacity location — how this letter affected my rental contact was beyond me. I went back to my vehicle and called the U-​Haul customer service rep. She was great and I hope to some good notes to provide to the district/​area manager. U-​Haul customer service found me an alternative drop of location (Escondido). I made the 20 mile trip to Escondido to I would recommend that if you have any other option, AVOID AVOID AVOID this guy and his business. I will ensure that everyone in the Penasquitos and Poway area are made aware and are referred elsewhere. The district manager is supposed to be in touch with me so we will see what happens.
I did drop off the trailer at the Escondido U-​Haul location right as they were getting ready to close at 5pm. This place had it together – after some searching, they found my contract, unhooked the trailer, inventoried the blankets and dolly and emailed me the receipt while I was still in the building. Nice store and friendly employees. Night and Day diffence from the Poway location.

This is the best place for all your moving needs… Sam and Mary give excellent customer service and are always warm and welcoming. There is not only local truck rental but if you need a truck for a long distance move, they have everything you need here!

I have known the owner Sam for many years and he’s the first person I contact about any truck or moving needs.
