Not the most stellar customer service. I called to see what the nearest cross-​street was and the person who answered the phone didn’t know. You don’t know where you work?
The pharmacy was frustrating to deal with. Bad communicators were behind the counter on the several times I stopped by to get my meds. They said they’d ‘check into it and call me back’ and I’m still waiting for the call 16 hours later.
Can’t wait to get back to my hometown RiteAid.
Edited to add: Finally got my meds. Never did get called back and apparently there was a non-​communication between two of the pharmacists — as one was leaving shift while the other was staying on. Apology accepted and all is forgiven. Frustrating, however.

Very unhappy with their pharmacy. It took over two and half week to get my medicine. They received the prescription from my doctor and hold it. I kept calling and every time I was on hold for more than five minutes. I go there and they say we did not have your insurance information, therefore we have not ordered it for you. I do not know what they didn’t call. I give them the insurance card and after five days they still did not call me that it is ready. It could be that they are understaffed but I am not sure. I go back to Walmart pharmacy next time.

I got fired from this store 9 years ago. That isn’t why they get a so-​so review though. Great customer service but the store needs a serious face-​lift. Serious.

I come here primarily for the ice cream. I used to be Thrifty’s and then it was bought out by Rite Aid. Fortunately they have decided to keep the ice cream section although on occasion I have had to wait because it is not permanently staffed. The best thing about the ice cream is that it is so cheap. Much cheaper than Baskin Robbins. Although they don’t have very many flavors but if you do like the flavors they have then this is the place to go. Especially on a hot summer day.

Carmel Valley, San Diego, CA
Came here to get Ice Cream. They are known for their cheap ice cream, Remember when it was only a quarter for a single scoop? Well it’s a little bit more expensive now, but their flavors are all good. My favorite is still the Double Chocolate Malted Crunch. Chocolate and little crunchy malted balls. Oh so yummy! Plus I like Rite Aid Pharmacy better than CVS.

Rite Aid is good for two things for me. 1. The super cheap ice cream that’s surprisingly delicious. 2. Gummi bears (yes you can get them anywhere) but when you put 1 and 2 together you get a worthwhile trip. Especially nice on a hot day cause they always have the AC blasting during the summer too. Decent location and the inside has always been clean when I went in. Good place.
