Coin Shop

I’ve been getting silver (1 oz rounds, 10 oz bars) from this shop for several years. The owner, Bill, is a pleasant enough fellow. As far as a previous review where the gentleman didn’t seem happy because Bill wouldn’t match the price of an online seller, well, yeah, he has his prices and doesn’t barter. But I trust him to give me the best deal, and I can take hands-​on delivery of my silver (or gold, if you have that kind of scratch) right then and there. I don’t buy the Eagles or Maples for just the reason mentioned in another post, they are more over spot. Bill usually charges $ 2 over spot, which is competitive, and he has even charged me only $ 1.75 over spot when he was getting it for less. Can’t think of much else to say other than — he’s got the goods, and seems like an honest guy.

Went in to buy an ounce of silver today and tried to get a better price on the silver maple-​leaf coin (common coin shop practice), when he told me the it would be 4 dollars over spot. His response when I told him Libertycpm was charging only 2.81 over spot was that I could go to that store instead. My purchase was made and I went on my way.
He will not see my business again, and I suggest others be warned of his prices and lack of customer service.
