Rod and his crew are absolutely wonderful. They not only did a spectacular job on my car but he was kind enough to repair a few things for free. Overall I think he did a few hundred dollars of free work on my car so I made him a cake. He’ll also advocate for you with adjusters, he gets the job done quickly and is a great referral if you need anything he doesn’t do. This is a truly top quality business and I definitely recommend it. PS — his new location is off MLK. Huge flashing arrow that points to his sign.

Rod was wonderful in restoring my leaking car, including a windscreen replacement, painting & headlight repair. He treated me like a sister — with respect & kindness. They did a wonderful job — car looks like new again — so, so happy!

Rod did great work, quickly, and he’s an excellent communicator. He kept me in the loop, worked to understand what I needed for my car, and made it happen affordably.

I brought my car here after not one but two incidents this summer. And both times Rod has treated me like his daughter. I’m not even kidding. From helping calm my nerves (after accident freak outs) to explaining to me the process to minimizing all the costs (paid out of pocket).

Rod is legit. Go see this man! My wife was involved in a hit and run earlier this year so we were stuck with the cost. Rod fronted half of what insurance didn’t cover and did a fantastic job. What a guy. Might invite him to my Christmas party!

Slid off the road in the snow and needed a new front end. Shopped it around and decided to try this little hole in the wall. They offered me a great price and had it done in two days. One day to get the parts and the next day they fixed it. Totally blown away by the service, price and quality. My car looks brand new!!!

I have brought my car to West Side Auto three times over the last 5 yrs. the first two visits were for minor repairs, this time more extensive. I came too close to a concrete post in my condo garage and did about 4k worth of damage. Rod and his crew did a great job. Car looks like new due to the superb work that was done and the car was cleaned to showroom condition. Geico insurance also arranged for a nice loaner and made the whole experience as painless as possible. My mechanic referred me to West Side Auto Body, and I’m glad that they did! A guy backed into my car in a parking lot, broke a headlight and caused some minor denting. West Side auto body got a reasonable quote to us quickly and worked around my very odd schedule (flying out of town all week) with no problem, allowing me to drop off the car after hours. Not only did they repair the damage, but they cleaned the exterior and interior of my car! I am not sure if this is something that they usually do (perhaps they took pity on my poor dingy vehicle), but it was a pretty awesome touch. 5 stars for going above and beyond the call of duty.

I sideswiped my new (2012) car on one of our underground parking garage poles. I took out the back passenger door, panel over the wheel (don’t know what it is called) and the end of the back bumper. I hadn’t been in an accident in so long I didn’t know really what to do. I got Rod’s name/​number from a co-​worker who has taken his car there in the past. I called that morning and had it dropped off in the afternoon. With my insurance adjuster out there the next day and an estimate of 2 weeks for completion. I picked it up last night, a week from when they started and it looks like new! And Rod didn’t use all the hours estimated and he passed on some savings to me! I did this all by myself (as in not having to have a male figure to help me out at the shop) and I was treated with nothing but respect and over the top customer service! I will refer any and everyone here! I hope not to have to use him any time soon but he has a lifetime customer with me!

Rod and his crew at West Side are fantastic. A branch fell on our new car and we needed an auto body shop with the quickness. I had heard great things about Westside, so I didn’t hesitate to bring my car there. Rod was super clear with communication, friendly, and walked me through each step of the process.
I got my car back a few days later, looking better than brand new *and* they had even vacuumed out the interior. A nice touch that my wife really appreciated. Truly a great experience and Rod is a class act through and through. No question where I’ll be bringing my car in the future. Also, the location is fantastic, close in Pearl District right off Burnside.

Rod at West Side is great. I have been refering our customers to him for a couple years now because of the industryI work in. I have always assume that anyone that calls them selves a body shop can replace damaged parts and paint them. This week I had to take my personal vehicle to him and I found outthis is not the cause and the differences will amaze you, thanks to Rod and his crew.
I have an almost new Toyota Tundra and my front bumper was side swiped by a friend while I was parked. This made it a sticky situation because it brought cost into my concern because my friend was paying for it. My bumper is a combination of plastic, chrome, and body. When I drove up, we looked at it togather and he showed a high concern for the chrome part because it can not be buffed out and painted like normal body parts. He told me the part was around $ 600 alone. I started to worry that I would end up not getting it fixed because I didn’t want my friend to pay that much. Rod told me that he wanted to try a few things and then he would call me over to tell him what I thought. I did not need the truck, so I told him to take his time. I may have pointed out a few other scratches that seem to just show up on a new car. Rod said that one on my tail gate was too deep and would need the whole thing paint…“but he would try”.
I came to check it out 2 days later and could not believe it. The chrome on my front bumper, unblemished. The body buffed out like a champ. All those litle scratches I pointed out were gone. You guys may remember the tail gate scratches that were too deep, gone. I am so thankful for how it turned out. The only parts cost was a new license plate bracket, $ 12. He charged me pennies compared to what he deserved for the job he did.

This place was great. Solved the leak that had been dripping into my trunk the same day I brought it in then let me keep it parked there until I got off work. The man was really nice and called me to make sure that the price was ok until he did any work — and called within two hours of dropping it off! Recommended to me by Everett Street Garage and they were right.

My car got hit by another car so I needed some body work done. I got two estimates. One from here and the other from Active Auto Body. Both estimates were provided on the spot and differed by only $ 3 dollars. However, I wanted to see if I could get the work done for less and save some money. Westside told me they could get a salvaged side panel and Active Auto said they could not. I went with Westside for this reason and the fact that they’ve been in business since 1958 and offer a lifetime warranty. I dealt with Rod who provided great customer service and repaired my car to tip top shape. It looks amazing! Oddly, you won’t find any reviews online for Westside (until now)! Don’t let this discourage you. This is a small shop of about 4 guys who have been doing this a LONG time. It’s apparent they love what they do and must be getting plenty of business by word of mouth.
