THE best place for a mani/pedi in downtown Portland!

I had a shellac manicure here and it was really great! Ryan was meticulous with amazing attention to detail, which produced excellent results. Everyone I spoke with while there were incredibly attentive and friendly. Also, they have a large selection of wonderful colors to choose from. I plan on coming back and highly recommend them! :)

The service here is awesome. I used to bite my nails, and they were really bad an bleeding all the time. The owner recommended that I put on bio gel and I’ve had it ever since. The staff is extremely good at what they do, and it’s a great environmental be in. I would recommend booking an appointment though, as it seems to get really busy, especially on weekends.

They were incredibly kind enough to get me in last second for an appointment, and once there I only had a drastically limited time to have my nails cleaned up before a last minute work shift. They had a few people helping so as to get me out on time. Ryan was the person to clean up my nails and have them looking absolutely astounding. I cannot stress enough how amazing he is. He knows what he is doing and is eager to make your nails healthy, gorgeous, and to make sure you are not only happy, but relaxed and newly in love with your nails again. I never write reviews. But Ryan was perfectly competent and professional, and I can honestly say I have never enjoyed having my nails done more by anyone — even in my last minute appointment. Thank you so much. I am already looking forward to returning back! Everyone should go here!

Don’t think they take walk-ins. Walked in to get nails done while visiting the city and they said no one is available and asked if I could come back tomorrow? Not in 20 min or half hour, but tomorrow. It wasn’t closing time either. FYI they are super expensive$$ 65 dollars for a mani-pedi with gel on hands. Double the price of what I pay in LA. Think I’ll just wait till I get home to get my nails done.

My nails were damaged from gel and I needed to have a quick remedy. Decided manicure would be less damaging and fast. I called and were seated right away. Girl who did my nail was not the most talkative, but very focused and professional. She answered all my questions and made my hands pretty again. When I got up to leave I did not realize it takes half hour for the manicure to dry and ruined three nails while digging for my purse! It was my fault, but I was seated once again and nails were repainted. I sat patiently for half hour lest I ruin my nails again. Now my hands look pretty and I’m very happy with the service received. It was friendly and calm atmosphere. It was nice downtime before heading back to study in this beautiful weather.

Technical excellence in nail service, but a little hit and miss in the customer service realm. 100% fab last minute availability. At my first visit in March, Catherine did a shellac manicure and did a great job of talking with me(a moderately socially awkward person who usually doesn’t want to talk to strangers). Her work looked great and lasted forever. I felt like I’d known her forever, like we were going to go for a run followed by brunch on Saturday. Today, I got someone else who never introduced herself despite being EFL and who huffed when my toe nails’ undercoat got a bit smudged when she tried to fit my size 9 feet into what had to be the world’s smallest, hottest LED lamp. I get it. I would feel the same if I was her. I would so not want to do the massage, the scrub, any of it on some rando’s feet. She was clearly not into it. I don’t expect anyone to be jazzed in that line of work, but a massage should still be a massage and I’d rather not think you hate me over the course of a $ 50 pedicure plus $ 10 tip.

We had a bridal party here a few days before my wedding. Tracy, Kelly and Catherine were great! They were super patient(there were a few kids and a whole lot of yapping women) and they were really friendly. I’m not a bride that often gets her nails done so I had no idea what I wanted or where to start. They were great with offering suggestions and clarifying the difference between the types of polish. They provided champagne, fruit, cheese and crackers to help us celebrate. And my nails and toes held up beautifully for the wedding. Thank you all so much!

After driving 3000 miles from New Orleans to Portland I needed a massage and a facial to alleviate stress and fatigue and pain before starting my job the next day. Hardly can you call last minute to a good place and get in but Urbantopia accommodated me at the end of their day. I was able to park in a lot very close by and they greeted me by name when I walked in. Catherine cleared up my skin with an amazing facial and relieved my back and neck of the many spasms and knots with the aromatherapy touch massage. I highly recommend seeing Catherine for these services. Such a great welcome to the area. And on my way out got food to go from the food trucks.

A little frustrated. Came here a month or so ago and absolutely loved my experience. Back in town again I decided I would try them again and I was standing outside their doors for about 10 mins at 10:30 — a half hour after they supposedly opened, with an open sign in the window — and the doors were locked. Am I missing something?

I was in town for the weekend and checked out Unilocal for a good manicure/pedicure. I didn’t want to spend a fortune but also didn’t want the typical places that are on every corner. This place was perfect! $ 50 for a manicure and pedicure in a very cute salon that offered me wine. Clean instruments and staff who didn’t yammer away in another language while they worked on clients. It was perfect!

Tracy felt like an old gal pal the minute I sat in her chair for a manicure. I don’t know the last time I was able to communicate with my nail technician and chatting away with her made the experience so much more pleasant and special. I am usually so tired after getting a manicure or pedicure because I remain silent for so long that it feels like I should be sleeping, but after Tracy’s manicure, I was ready to conquer the world with my newly frosted digits.

They serve wine, and that was a perfect way to end the shopping day. I had a pedicure with a lady that could’ve been a bit more gentler with the tools on my feet, but she was nice. She gave great leg massage with her man hands so that ended nicely. Overall, it was a lovely time.

I had the pleasure of going here for a surprise birthday gift. It was fabulous! These ladies put the pamper in pedicure, with an excellent message, a salt scrub, and hot towels. The were very friendly, talking with us and giving us color suggestions, but also letting us have our own conversations. This may sound strange to note, but I also appreciated that they only spoke english in front of us(though it was not their first language), even when they were talking to each other. I always feel strange when I am getting a pedicure and it seems like I am being made fun of in another language.

I’ll admit — I was incredibly suspicious of all these glowing 5 star reviews. So I figured I should pop by and try it for myself, in the name of research, of course. As it turns out, they were right! Tracy and Catherine are awesome and this welcoming little salon is now my first choice for manis and pedis. Urbantopia Spa is run by the women who do the work. These two sassy ladies opened the shop a little over 6 months ago with another friend, and they’ve been dolling out the good stuff ever since. Said good stuff also comes with free wine and wifi, two of my very favorite things. Moreover, my pedi was excellent. Sure, it was a bit more expensive than the walk-ins along NW21st($ 30 bones), but the quality of the shop, the products, the staff, and the service itself were all top notch and well worth the extra cash in my book.

Wish I could take this place back to San Francisco with me. The ladies working here made this the best mani/pedi experience I’ve ever had. So friendly and easygoing. The color selection was great. My nails look amazing. It’s going to be hard to find another place that lives up to this experience. Definitely 5 star worthy.

Fabulous Pedi’s! Urbantopia was so nice to accommodate a same-day appointment for me! They are located just off of Broadway and it was very convenient to drop into after work. The spa is relaxing and tranquil, the massage chairs and foot baths are new, comfortable and beautiful. Catherine gave my toes a perfect pedicure as well as a much needed relaxing foot and leg massage. All of my work day and week woes melted away quickly. I would highly recommend this spa and it’s staff, and I will definitely be back for more pampering!

I found this place thanks to the Unilocal app! I had my hair and nails done. I couldn’t be happier and I would 100% come back!
